Quiet and clean, this is the second year in a row I've stayed at the site for Memorial Day weekend. Couldn't ask for a nicer place or nicer staff.

Nice campground. Roads are wide for easy maneuvering. Pool. Several nearby attractions. Picacho Peak State Park if you want a good hike. Ostrich Ranch if you want to feed deer, birds, goats, sheep, and stingrays with your hands. Enjoyed our stay.

Grounds are impeccable! Campground host was so helpful & nice to us. Our site included the dog pen & it was amazing! It even included doggie bags, trash can, shaded area & was safe for the pups. This site also had a patio with Adirondack chairs plus a patio set with umbrella . Can’t say enough good & if we’re in the area in the future we’ll definitely stay here!!

The site itself was great! Clean and well kept. Play area for kids and an agility area for pets. However, there was a dog in a nearby neighborhood barking all night and kept me awake.

This campground is nicely maintained, quiet and clean, the Owner was very friendly greeted us upon arrival, escorted us to our site. The laundry area was very clean even has an ironing board for your use. Horse stables abut one side of the campground and large flowering bushes on the other side . Our site was good size and flat with full hook-ups. We would stay here again

The staff is friendly and informative. The sites are gravel but they are large, level, and well maintained. The pool was just remodeled but we didn’t have time to use it. We will stay here again if we are in the area.

I love the freedom and hospitality of this campsite. We will always return for more fun as the Tent site availability allows.

One of the best KOAs we’ve stayed at over many years of camping. All expectations were met or exceeded

Absolutely love the Kamping Kabin at this KOA! It has all the charm of a KOA Kabin (swing, fire pit) but also the linens provided and a comfortable queen size bed! We will definitely be back again!

Best place ever!! Wonderful family owned. Helpful and kind. We will be back. Beautiful sunsets

Always a favorite KOA because it’s so exceptionally well maintained, so many beautiful plantings, and lots of room. The men’s showers are great and could benefit from grab bars. A major suggestion is to have a coded lock on the laundry. Evers often want to do laundry in the evening. Closing the laundry at 7:00 is far too early!

Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. Went out of their way to make sure all was ok. We were tenting and for SW AZ we still had a decent tree for shade. They had lots of playground equipment for children and a nice pool

Great friendly hosts/owners. Bathrooms were clean with great showers. Pool was a bit chilly, but clean. Cabin was nice with comfortable queen bed. Shades did not close adequately so I would suggest curtains.

Can’t say enough about the owner and her employees! Audra is so kind . Campground looks better every year with fences and extras. We try to make it every year heading from NH to California!

Quiet with great showers

Good place to stay to visit the local area like picacho state park or the casa grande ruins. The roads in the campground get pretty dusty so slow speed is a must. The size of the paw pens is a little small to be useful.

A very nice KOA located west of Tucson, Arizona and east of the I-10 and I-8 intersection near Casa Grande. Very close to Pacacho Peak mountain trails. Swimming pool is heated, very large room inside with seating, TV, games and book exchange. The host and owner was very friendly and accommodating. A very nice young man led us to our RV spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Level gravel sites and nice large lots. Very will priced! Also private RV spots with decks and fencing. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for welcoming us.

After several days at Picacho Peak State Park without full hookups, arriving at Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey felt like the kind of reset you do not fully appreciate until you need it. We arrived a bit early while the office was closed for lunch, but the large parking area out front made it easy to pull in, park, and have lunch without any stress. Once they reopened, check-in was smooth, everyone was friendly, and being escorted to our site was a great first impression. Our site was a large pull-through with full hookups (everything worked flawlessly), and even though you do not choose your own site, we ended up in one we likely would have picked ourselves. Site 69 was under a huge willow tree with a wide view over nearby farmland, and watching cows and horses grazing gave the whole stay a calm, open feel right away. The willow tree also provided real shade, which made a noticeable difference during the day. The biggest shift for us was how easy everything felt. After being without water and sewer, having full hookups again made this stop feel less like a pass through and more like a place to actually settle in and recharge. The gravel roads and gravel sites were straightforward to navigate, and the park felt very big-rig friendly with plenty of room to maneuver. Sites are well spaced and easy to pull into, with a layout that feels open rather than tight. It was also noticeably quiet. Despite being close to I-10, it felt surprisingly peaceful, especially at night, and with very few people around us it was easy to relax after more active stops earlier in the trip. From a family perspective, this KOA works really well. There is a playground, a dog park, and a large jellybean-shaped pool that gave the kids space to play and unwind. The rules for children were clear and reasonable, like staying with an adult and no playing after sunset, which helped keep the environment safe without feeling restrictive. One of the most memorable details was their “follow the rules, get a cookie” system. On our way out, our boys ran into the office to let them know they had followed the rules and came back out with cookies in hand. It was such a simple idea, but it made the experience feel personal and stuck with them more than anything else. We also had a bundle of firewood delivered right to our site, which was convenient and added to the overall ease of the stay. Overall, this is a great example of a stop that does more than just meet basic needs. It is practical, quiet, and well run, but also has enough thoughtful touches to make it feel welcoming and memorable. It works well for both a quick overnight stop or a few days to reset. If you are traveling through this part of Arizona and want a place where you can recharge, enjoy the stop, and feel genuinely welcomed, this is absolutely worth it.
