Clean campgrounds, nice clubhouse. The dog parks are very nice. The staff was great. The only issue I have is the gravel. It is raked to look nice but that makes it horrible to walk on and dangerous. As I got out of my truck to unhook, I immediately slipped in the loose gravel. As I unhooked, my wheel chocks did not hold in the loose gravel and my trailer slid back almost coming off my tongue base.

Welcoming friendly staff, very clean facilities and freshly renovated pool for your enjoyment Spring/Summer 2026! Long term or short term it is a very relaxing atmosphere as you wake up to the neighing of the horses and the beautiful mature Eucalyptus trees that provide shade throughout the park. I invite you to make it one of your stops to enjoy the experience for yourselves !!!

My stay at picacho was outstanding, the places immaculate looks like they've been upgrading a lot of the facilities, they've just redone their pool and a lot of the sites. The people that work there do a fantastic job to make you stay great. The person that I deal with is Audra she makes sure that you stay at the koa is great, she's very friendly and makes you feel like part of the family.

After a difficult couple of days on the road, this place was just the refuge we needed. It is quiet, beautifully maintained and very clean. My only suggestion is that they include a no smoking of cigarettes clause with their very prominent display of no smoking of weed allowed notices. The cigarette smoke of a neighbor was equally as vexing…

Everything was good and loved that the store carried so many items.

It was very nice, the paw pen was amazing. Very clean camp ground.

The electeical breakers need to be updated. We were constantly blowing our breaker until they loaned us a fitting to use the other amperage. Also, it needs more trees, and watering of the trees that are existing around the property. The langscape is not well cared for. Seems like the costs associated with standard maintenance are being short changed.

The staff are outstanding and very friendly! Our kids loved the playground, sand box, games in the clubhouse and the outdoor experiences! The amenities make a huge difference for camping with littles! It’s my second time visiting this KOA this year and plan to return in the fall!

Office staff were outstanding and grounds were clean

Front desk lady was very nice at check-in. Campground itself was great for what we needed. It was loud from the interstate traffic, and the pool was closed for repair, which was a bummer.

Beautiful area. Very well maintained. The host and hostess were very nice.

Well maintained grounds and clean restrooms. Employees were accommodating to my late arrival. Only drawback is you could hear the highway, but it wasnt too loud.

Very clean and comfortable. A great place to land after a long day!

Nicely kept camground. Staff seemed a bit indifferent. I was in a 30/50 amp site. The 30 amp breaker kept tripping. Luckily, I come prepared for this and can use a 50 amp outlet. It worked ok.

I wanted to get away for a week of peace and quiet relaxation. I got it! Took my E-bike out for a couple of nice rides and binged watched some shows I wanted to catch up on. Thanks! Looking forward to the next time!

We really enjoyed our stay! We splurged and got a patio with a kennel area for our pups and it was wonderful! Hosts were kind and helpful. A little traffic and train noise but nothing that kept us awake.

Clean and quiet. Friendly staff.

Friendly staff. Well-maintained KOA.

The area around is quite rough, seems like an odd place for a KOA. The sites don’t have much going for them, but the landscape in the park is very cool with lemon and . Online pics make it seem like you have Mountain Views from most sites, but you don’t . It’s gated, but gates don’t close. Too expensive for what they are, but staff was very nice, which is always a plus!

It was just an overnight stay. We arrived about 15 minutes before the store closed but were met by the friendliest host checking us in. She was all smiles, pleasant and very polite. Park looked very well kept and clean

Nice open park. Easy access. Close to Picacho Park. Very friendly. Quick overnight. Noisy from nearby Interstate. Backed up to get close enough to drain tanks before hooking toad back up.

Mar 04, 2026
Excellent family owned and operated campground! This is our third time staying here and will be staying again.
Mar 04, 2026
Check in was easy and they escorted us to our site.
Mar 04, 2026
Great park to stay in. Right Off the interstate so you can hear the busy traffic as well as several trains going by, but we would stay again.
Mar 04, 2026
Cleanest laundry facilities we've seen . Redoing their pool this week . We were glad they left it open for us before renovation. We spent 3 nights there . Great place and friendly staff. Quietly.

This was our VERY first RV stay! We are brand new to owning an RV and we loved staying at your campground!
Mar 02, 2026
Peaceful park, despite being next to freeway. Bathrooms are spotless, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Grounds are well kept, and staff and owner were very pleasant and helpful.

WiFi was very weak.

The park was level, space between sites was appreciated.Beautiful sunsets. Thank you for the hospitality. And movie check out was a bonus!

Good place to stay to visit the local area like picacho state park or the casa grande ruins. The roads in the campground get pretty dusty so slow speed is a must. The size of the paw pens is a little small to be useful.

A very nice KOA located west of Tucson, Arizona and east of the I-10 and I-8 intersection near Casa Grande. Very close to Pacacho Peak mountain trails. Swimming pool is heated, very large room inside with seating, TV, games and book exchange. The host and owner was very friendly and accommodating. A very nice young man led us to our RV spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Level gravel sites and nice large lots. Very will priced! Also private RV spots with decks and fencing. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for welcoming us.

After several days at Picacho Peak State Park without full hookups, arriving at Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey felt like the kind of reset you do not fully appreciate until you need it. We arrived a bit early while the office was closed for lunch, but the large parking area out front made it easy to pull in, park, and have lunch without any stress. Once they reopened, check-in was smooth, everyone was friendly, and being escorted to our site was a great first impression. Our site was a large pull-through with full hookups (everything worked flawlessly), and even though you do not choose your own site, we ended up in one we likely would have picked ourselves. Site 69 was under a huge willow tree with a wide view over nearby farmland, and watching cows and horses grazing gave the whole stay a calm, open feel right away. The willow tree also provided real shade, which made a noticeable difference during the day. The biggest shift for us was how easy everything felt. After being without water and sewer, having full hookups again made this stop feel less like a pass through and more like a place to actually settle in and recharge. The gravel roads and gravel sites were straightforward to navigate, and the park felt very big-rig friendly with plenty of room to maneuver. Sites are well spaced and easy to pull into, with a layout that feels open rather than tight. It was also noticeably quiet. Despite being close to I-10, it felt surprisingly peaceful, especially at night, and with very few people around us it was easy to relax after more active stops earlier in the trip. From a family perspective, this KOA works really well. There is a playground, a dog park, and a large jellybean-shaped pool that gave the kids space to play and unwind. The rules for children were clear and reasonable, like staying with an adult and no playing after sunset, which helped keep the environment safe without feeling restrictive. One of the most memorable details was their “follow the rules, get a cookie” system. On our way out, our boys ran into the office to let them know they had followed the rules and came back out with cookies in hand. It was such a simple idea, but it made the experience feel personal and stuck with them more than anything else. We also had a bundle of firewood delivered right to our site, which was convenient and added to the overall ease of the stay. Overall, this is a great example of a stop that does more than just meet basic needs. It is practical, quiet, and well run, but also has enough thoughtful touches to make it feel welcoming and memorable. It works well for both a quick overnight stop or a few days to reset. If you are traveling through this part of Arizona and want a place where you can recharge, enjoy the stop, and feel genuinely welcomed, this is absolutely worth it.
