Park was clean, well maintained, staff was always friendly, spots were big. The only suggestion would be to maybe have the garbage can closer to the exit.

Everything is A+. A cactus fell down next to our RV. It took about 15 minutes to remove it and rake up any remains of the tree. The park is meticulous. Love going there!

The laundry was only open 9am to 7 pm. We were at the gem show and although awake at 6:30 am we couldn’t stay around until 9 to do 2 hours of laundry. We weren’t back in time for evening hours.

The staff was wonderful! They called to confirm and check our arrival time and were so helpful when we arrived. The facilities were clean and they were preparing for a Super Bowl party! We had a great stay!

Bad water pressure in the showers. Lots of rain meant flooded site and services. Couldn’t even use the sewer connection because it was under water.

Very clean park, had a spot with full hookup (water ,electric, sewage) and wifi. Very friendly staff. It was raining when we got to park and some of the spots were flooded out around the hookups. Very quiet and everyone one was super friendly. I would definitely stop there again.

The owners have done an incredible job upgrading this property. The entire family is friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again. The only thing that would help would be a little bit of grass or green grown cover for the pups. The neighboring field are green but grass on the property is very scarce. For dogs who are not used to sand and rocks it is a bit of a challenge.

We booked at the last minute and they were very accommodating. They were friendly and lead us to our site. We were at the back and got to see the horses and stables over the fence. Pads were well spaced and we had plenty of room for our 36 plus Jeep tow. In an area that caters exclusively to the resident and snowbird group, it was nice to find one that simply caters to the simple RV’er.

Good place to stay to visit the local area like picacho state park or the casa grande ruins. The roads in the campground get pretty dusty so slow speed is a must. The size of the paw pens is a little small to be useful.

A very nice KOA located west of Tucson, Arizona and east of the I-10 and I-8 intersection near Casa Grande. Very close to Pacacho Peak mountain trails. Swimming pool is heated, very large room inside with seating, TV, games and book exchange. The host and owner was very friendly and accommodating. A very nice young man led us to our RV spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Level gravel sites and nice large lots. Very will priced! Also private RV spots with decks and fencing. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for welcoming us.

After several days at Picacho Peak State Park without full hookups, arriving at Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey felt like the kind of reset you do not fully appreciate until you need it. We arrived a bit early while the office was closed for lunch, but the large parking area out front made it easy to pull in, park, and have lunch without any stress. Once they reopened, check-in was smooth, everyone was friendly, and being escorted to our site was a great first impression. Our site was a large pull-through with full hookups (everything worked flawlessly), and even though you do not choose your own site, we ended up in one we likely would have picked ourselves. Site 69 was under a huge willow tree with a wide view over nearby farmland, and watching cows and horses grazing gave the whole stay a calm, open feel right away. The willow tree also provided real shade, which made a noticeable difference during the day. The biggest shift for us was how easy everything felt. After being without water and sewer, having full hookups again made this stop feel less like a pass through and more like a place to actually settle in and recharge. The gravel roads and gravel sites were straightforward to navigate, and the park felt very big-rig friendly with plenty of room to maneuver. Sites are well spaced and easy to pull into, with a layout that feels open rather than tight. It was also noticeably quiet. Despite being close to I-10, it felt surprisingly peaceful, especially at night, and with very few people around us it was easy to relax after more active stops earlier in the trip. From a family perspective, this KOA works really well. There is a playground, a dog park, and a large jellybean-shaped pool that gave the kids space to play and unwind. The rules for children were clear and reasonable, like staying with an adult and no playing after sunset, which helped keep the environment safe without feeling restrictive. One of the most memorable details was their “follow the rules, get a cookie” system. On our way out, our boys ran into the office to let them know they had followed the rules and came back out with cookies in hand. It was such a simple idea, but it made the experience feel personal and stuck with them more than anything else. We also had a bundle of firewood delivered right to our site, which was convenient and added to the overall ease of the stay. Overall, this is a great example of a stop that does more than just meet basic needs. It is practical, quiet, and well run, but also has enough thoughtful touches to make it feel welcoming and memorable. It works well for both a quick overnight stop or a few days to reset. If you are traveling through this part of Arizona and want a place where you can recharge, enjoy the stop, and feel genuinely welcomed, this is absolutely worth it.
