Located near the highway and train tracks, so a bit noisy. However, the location is convenient and grounds easily navigated even in the darkest night. Friendly and helpful staff. Office hours were posted, and open when stated. We had our free, hot coffee before heading out.

Located off the I-10. Easy access. Nice level pull through gravel sites. Quiet campground. Stayed only one night but would return for a longer stay if we are ever back in the area.

What an awesome stay we had. If I could give it more than a 5 star I would. This campground was clean and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. We originally were going to stay 2 weeks but decided to stay another week. The weather was just perfect for a day at the pool which is very clean. The laundry room was clean and the sites were level and spacious. will definitely be back

We stayed at 3 different KOAs on our family RV trip to Texas for the eclipse and this one stood out as the very best!!! It was impeccably clean, lots of amenities and a very welcoming, homey feel. The young woman who was working in the office was so friendly and helpful. We just loved this place!!

Picacho KOA was by far one of our favorite campgrounds. Ryan, Felicia and the whole crew were so friendly, helpful and accommodating! We stayed for almost two months and their campground truly felt like home. It is clean, well-maintained, and just fantastic all around. We were sad to leave and felt like we were leaving friends. We will be back any time we are in Arizona again!!

You have a very clean and attractive camp park. We enjoyed our stay. A few things that may be improved were the wi-fi for working people was undependable. It kept either going out or was very slow. The noise from the interstate was too loud to sleep at times, I know this is something you can't do much about and the trees and wall are helpful. The men's showers took a long time to get hot water.

Very well kept Park. Owners are lovely!

I appreciate these owners. We booked this online thru KOA app. We drive up and walk in. Tell the check in person our name. Boom we have a map, info and a young man leads us to our site in a golf cart. Took 3 minutes tops! Clean restrooms and showers, clean sites. Friendly, helpful. Laundry looked clean though I didn't use. Very nice stay, thank you.

The park is well maintained but the the work that is going on close to the park overnight does not allow tenters to have a good nights sleep.

What an incredible KOA! The Manager and her teenage children were the greatest and friendliest people we ever met running an RV park! Super lovely people! We spent 9 days here and will stay again if we’re ever in the area.

This place is well maintained and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. There is a dog park and on this trip we used the dump station, which was also nice. We will return.

The park is very inviting in everyday. Clean, easy to navigate. Park for the dogs, even a cute shop on site. The woman who checked us in was wonderfully friendly even at her closing time!

Great place to stay! Picked the perfect location for our road trip! Thanks for a fun stay!

When we arrived there was a problem with our reservation. We had been put in a spot that was too small. Ryan made everything right by upgrading us to a patio site at no extra charge. The campground was exceptionally clean, the team very friendly, the dog park large. We would definitely stay there again.

One of the nicest KOA parks we’ve stayed at. Very friendly people, so well maintained, and nice amenities! Sites were clean and spacious. Loved our stay there!

This is a roomy park with level sites. Being in the desert, there is very little grass, but gravel is generously spread to reduce dust & mud. Lovely views of a horse farm next door with green pastures. Friendly staff and a quiet peaceful overnight.

The campground was very well maintained and clean. The employees were very nice and professional. It is near the freeway and there is a train in the distance. Neither interfered with our sleep.

We came in after hours and filled out the forms and left payment information. This morning we left before the 11am checkout time. Hours later I received a call from a staff member chastising me because they have a ridiculous 3 dog maximum policy and I indicated on the form that I was staying with 5 dogs. So we stayed and paid for the night and left with no incident and I got such treatment.

We so much enjoyed our stay at Picacho Peak KOA! The campground is very pretty with all the trees, cacti and birds. The facilities were so clean and well taken care of, your staff happily works hard keeping everything so nice making for “happy campers.” Another benefit, the Picacho Highway is a great road to walk, jog or bike. Very little traffic and lots of open space. Thank you!!

This place appeared older but was so clean and the people were wonderful. We loved the location and the scenery. The showers were also warm!

Extremely nice and helpful owners. Their 2 sons work there and are polite good workers. Very clean. Owners make sure campers follow rules which we appreciated. The only reason gave 4 not 5 was the train and traffic noise. Not the fault of owners. Overall would stay there again. Location good for places to visit in the area

What a gem! The owners are delightful and very responsive to guests' needs. Late check-in instructions were very clear and easy. They are upgrading facilities and the newly re-tiled showers show it. Beautiful dark skies even though close to I-10. 15 min. away from Picacho State Park and wonderful hikes. Fun to watch cowpokes practicing roping in the horse corral next-door.

Good place to stay to visit the local area like picacho state park or the casa grande ruins. The roads in the campground get pretty dusty so slow speed is a must. The size of the paw pens is a little small to be useful.

A very nice KOA located west of Tucson, Arizona and east of the I-10 and I-8 intersection near Casa Grande. Very close to Pacacho Peak mountain trails. Swimming pool is heated, very large room inside with seating, TV, games and book exchange. The host and owner was very friendly and accommodating. A very nice young man led us to our RV spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Level gravel sites and nice large lots. Very will priced! Also private RV spots with decks and fencing. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for welcoming us.

After several days at Picacho Peak State Park without full hookups, arriving at Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey felt like the kind of reset you do not fully appreciate until you need it. We arrived a bit early while the office was closed for lunch, but the large parking area out front made it easy to pull in, park, and have lunch without any stress. Once they reopened, check-in was smooth, everyone was friendly, and being escorted to our site was a great first impression. Our site was a large pull-through with full hookups (everything worked flawlessly), and even though you do not choose your own site, we ended up in one we likely would have picked ourselves. Site 69 was under a huge willow tree with a wide view over nearby farmland, and watching cows and horses grazing gave the whole stay a calm, open feel right away. The willow tree also provided real shade, which made a noticeable difference during the day. The biggest shift for us was how easy everything felt. After being without water and sewer, having full hookups again made this stop feel less like a pass through and more like a place to actually settle in and recharge. The gravel roads and gravel sites were straightforward to navigate, and the park felt very big-rig friendly with plenty of room to maneuver. Sites are well spaced and easy to pull into, with a layout that feels open rather than tight. It was also noticeably quiet. Despite being close to I-10, it felt surprisingly peaceful, especially at night, and with very few people around us it was easy to relax after more active stops earlier in the trip. From a family perspective, this KOA works really well. There is a playground, a dog park, and a large jellybean-shaped pool that gave the kids space to play and unwind. The rules for children were clear and reasonable, like staying with an adult and no playing after sunset, which helped keep the environment safe without feeling restrictive. One of the most memorable details was their “follow the rules, get a cookie” system. On our way out, our boys ran into the office to let them know they had followed the rules and came back out with cookies in hand. It was such a simple idea, but it made the experience feel personal and stuck with them more than anything else. We also had a bundle of firewood delivered right to our site, which was convenient and added to the overall ease of the stay. Overall, this is a great example of a stop that does more than just meet basic needs. It is practical, quiet, and well run, but also has enough thoughtful touches to make it feel welcoming and memorable. It works well for both a quick overnight stop or a few days to reset. If you are traveling through this part of Arizona and want a place where you can recharge, enjoy the stop, and feel genuinely welcomed, this is absolutely worth it.
