Very nice, well-kept park. Owners are very gracious and accommodated our small veterans' group. They have a very nice playground for the kids and a nice dog park for the dogs. The only drawback, which they can't do anything about, is that the freeway and train noise can be a little overwhelming.

Nice clean and spacious. However, If I recommend people to stay there they need ear plugs to sleep because of the train and truck noise at night.

We needed a night to do a Shake Down Stay with our new to us Tiffin RV. This KOA park is so beautiful with lots of space between RV's and privacy fences are a really nice touch. We have recommended this KOA to our friends who are coming through or staying for the Winter months. It's awesome!!

The grounds were well maintained and very pretty with trees including palm trees and different varieties of cactus. The bathrooms were clean with modern showers. We would definitely stay there again the next time we travel through the area.

This is our quick weekend getaway location. We like this campground and the people that run it. Always well maintained and the friendliest staff you'll find anywhere. Fairly close to attractions in and around Tucson, without the hustle and bustle of being too close to the city. Highly recommend!

Stay was great! Only thing I can say that the furniture was extremely dirty and dusty. Other than that will return. Thank you for hosting us.

As a Rewards member, this KOA is the best campground in the right place for an overnight stay on my retirement travels across the country. It fills a gap between San Diego & Alamogordo when I visit family. I wish it was available for my trip in June when I used Benson KOA.

A great and quiet place to stay overnight.

We only stayed one night. While the location is lovely and peaceful, the entire lot is pebbly and dusty. Needs more road crush or gravel to make it comfortable.

The spaces and ground were well maintained as well as the laundry and rec room areas. The heated pool was a lovely treat after a long day on the road. The young woman that checked us in was friendly and informative.

This was our first stay at a KOA The park grounds were lovely and well kept . We were greeted well and they considered our special needs pet when assigning a spot. In the morning we discovered the woman’s showers were not working and men’s hardly any water pressure. We we were only there overnight and clean showers were the key reason we stayed. Disappointed to have paid so much and not had sh

One of the nicest KOAs I’ve been to. Beautifully landscaped, clean spacious sites, nice amenities. Owner hosts were welcoming and gracious. A terrific stay!

We only stayed as an overnight but it looks like a really nice place with full hookups and lots of amenities. Like a mini gated dog park area at our space. The manager met us with our papers even though we had a late arrival. Would definitely stay again.

Park was very clean and well maintained.Spaces were roomy. They did have some plumbing issues when we first arrived. Was fixed promptly. Don’t trust the online reservation app. It was showing very limited sites available. We were 1 of three units in the entire park!

Super friendly staff and a cute dog area, but cloudy water made me wary to drink it.

Good place to stay to visit the local area like picacho state park or the casa grande ruins. The roads in the campground get pretty dusty so slow speed is a must. The size of the paw pens is a little small to be useful.

A very nice KOA located west of Tucson, Arizona and east of the I-10 and I-8 intersection near Casa Grande. Very close to Pacacho Peak mountain trails. Swimming pool is heated, very large room inside with seating, TV, games and book exchange. The host and owner was very friendly and accommodating. A very nice young man led us to our RV spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Level gravel sites and nice large lots. Very will priced! Also private RV spots with decks and fencing. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for welcoming us.

After several days at Picacho Peak State Park without full hookups, arriving at Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey felt like the kind of reset you do not fully appreciate until you need it. We arrived a bit early while the office was closed for lunch, but the large parking area out front made it easy to pull in, park, and have lunch without any stress. Once they reopened, check-in was smooth, everyone was friendly, and being escorted to our site was a great first impression. Our site was a large pull-through with full hookups (everything worked flawlessly), and even though you do not choose your own site, we ended up in one we likely would have picked ourselves. Site 69 was under a huge willow tree with a wide view over nearby farmland, and watching cows and horses grazing gave the whole stay a calm, open feel right away. The willow tree also provided real shade, which made a noticeable difference during the day. The biggest shift for us was how easy everything felt. After being without water and sewer, having full hookups again made this stop feel less like a pass through and more like a place to actually settle in and recharge. The gravel roads and gravel sites were straightforward to navigate, and the park felt very big-rig friendly with plenty of room to maneuver. Sites are well spaced and easy to pull into, with a layout that feels open rather than tight. It was also noticeably quiet. Despite being close to I-10, it felt surprisingly peaceful, especially at night, and with very few people around us it was easy to relax after more active stops earlier in the trip. From a family perspective, this KOA works really well. There is a playground, a dog park, and a large jellybean-shaped pool that gave the kids space to play and unwind. The rules for children were clear and reasonable, like staying with an adult and no playing after sunset, which helped keep the environment safe without feeling restrictive. One of the most memorable details was their “follow the rules, get a cookie” system. On our way out, our boys ran into the office to let them know they had followed the rules and came back out with cookies in hand. It was such a simple idea, but it made the experience feel personal and stuck with them more than anything else. We also had a bundle of firewood delivered right to our site, which was convenient and added to the overall ease of the stay. Overall, this is a great example of a stop that does more than just meet basic needs. It is practical, quiet, and well run, but also has enough thoughtful touches to make it feel welcoming and memorable. It works well for both a quick overnight stop or a few days to reset. If you are traveling through this part of Arizona and want a place where you can recharge, enjoy the stop, and feel genuinely welcomed, this is absolutely worth it.
