The camp host was very polite and attentive. She made sure we found our site and knew of all of the amenities and opportunities at the campground. The campsite spaces were safe, clean and orderly. The grounds were well maintained. We stayed at a patio site and it was comfortable and well laid out. Thank you for another great stay.

The manager was so nice and helpful! He took time to show us where the cabin is and where the coffee machine is, etc. He was EXTREMELY cheerful, helpful, and fun! Suggestion - he says they'll be getting more cabins. I suggest you do the usual cabin setup - one queen size bed and a set of bunk beds. And you don't have to provide linens - we brought our own sleeping bags. IT WAS WONDERFUL!

Great staff. Nice park layout and grounds keeping. Had alot of amenities but we were a quick overnighter so didn't use. Nice long & wide pull-thru site. Due to location, does get some freeway noise but not enough to keep us awake.

Thank you so much for Audra. From her gracious help with reservation in the morning to her awaiting my arrival at closing! KOA has been a great blessing for this trip of a lifetime (so far!).

Very accommodating, friendly, and comfortable family managed campground! Sites, store, restrooms, and other amenities well maintained and clean. The laundry room is immaculate! Easy to enter and exit, and sites are spacious and level. Country setting with surrounding farms/livestock. I-10 and AZ 87 close by making neighboring towns/cities fairly quick to get to. Thank you, Team Picacho!

Every KOA could learn from Picacho KOA. The sites were well maintained. The restroom/showers were clean and stocked. The staff friendly and professional. The park has interesting little pockets with cactus and other desert plants which breaks up the desert setting and attracts lots of birds. All these things made for a pleasant stay.

Friendly staff! I crowded when I visited. Great recreation areas.

Very nice, easy check in and pulling in. The only thing was the highway noise that I thinks was worse because of a north wind. Not much could be done about that.

Very nice lady at the front desk. We have come to this place twice so far, and will definitely come back next time we are in the area.

We have stayed here a few times. It’s a nice clean campground with plenty of room. The staff is very helpful. It’s sits back off the HiWay but you still get the noise of traffic and the trains are also close by. There’s also a ranch next store so you have flies to contend with.

Beautiful park, clean sites, restrooms and laundry. Felicia was awesome host. The only issue I had was the proximity of highway and railroad to park.

Wonderful KOA- highly recommend! This KOA was clean, the utilities were reliable, site was level, and the owners & staff friendly. With two dogs we spent a lot of time in the Paw Park~ which was also clean & a great size! Thank you KOA for a wonderful getaway. We will return for sure.

Good place to stay to visit the local area like picacho state park or the casa grande ruins. The roads in the campground get pretty dusty so slow speed is a must. The size of the paw pens is a little small to be useful.

A very nice KOA located west of Tucson, Arizona and east of the I-10 and I-8 intersection near Casa Grande. Very close to Pacacho Peak mountain trails. Swimming pool is heated, very large room inside with seating, TV, games and book exchange. The host and owner was very friendly and accommodating. A very nice young man led us to our RV spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Level gravel sites and nice large lots. Very will priced! Also private RV spots with decks and fencing. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for welcoming us.

After several days at Picacho Peak State Park without full hookups, arriving at Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey felt like the kind of reset you do not fully appreciate until you need it. We arrived a bit early while the office was closed for lunch, but the large parking area out front made it easy to pull in, park, and have lunch without any stress. Once they reopened, check-in was smooth, everyone was friendly, and being escorted to our site was a great first impression. Our site was a large pull-through with full hookups (everything worked flawlessly), and even though you do not choose your own site, we ended up in one we likely would have picked ourselves. Site 69 was under a huge willow tree with a wide view over nearby farmland, and watching cows and horses grazing gave the whole stay a calm, open feel right away. The willow tree also provided real shade, which made a noticeable difference during the day. The biggest shift for us was how easy everything felt. After being without water and sewer, having full hookups again made this stop feel less like a pass through and more like a place to actually settle in and recharge. The gravel roads and gravel sites were straightforward to navigate, and the park felt very big-rig friendly with plenty of room to maneuver. Sites are well spaced and easy to pull into, with a layout that feels open rather than tight. It was also noticeably quiet. Despite being close to I-10, it felt surprisingly peaceful, especially at night, and with very few people around us it was easy to relax after more active stops earlier in the trip. From a family perspective, this KOA works really well. There is a playground, a dog park, and a large jellybean-shaped pool that gave the kids space to play and unwind. The rules for children were clear and reasonable, like staying with an adult and no playing after sunset, which helped keep the environment safe without feeling restrictive. One of the most memorable details was their “follow the rules, get a cookie” system. On our way out, our boys ran into the office to let them know they had followed the rules and came back out with cookies in hand. It was such a simple idea, but it made the experience feel personal and stuck with them more than anything else. We also had a bundle of firewood delivered right to our site, which was convenient and added to the overall ease of the stay. Overall, this is a great example of a stop that does more than just meet basic needs. It is practical, quiet, and well run, but also has enough thoughtful touches to make it feel welcoming and memorable. It works well for both a quick overnight stop or a few days to reset. If you are traveling through this part of Arizona and want a place where you can recharge, enjoy the stop, and feel genuinely welcomed, this is absolutely worth it.
