Had to run back and forth to a motorcycle shop with my toy hauler, there wasn't any problem with such a miserable experience of bike having problems. Trailer being gone for a portion of the day want any problem.

For a KOA Journey, this is an excellent campground, not so much for scenery or location but the bathrooms and showers are modern, the laundry is stocked with inexpensive and good working machines, and the pool area looks inviting. But be sure to hitch your rig to donkeys pulling at less than 5 mph or the natives will report you.

A very lovely place to stay. Saguaro cactus and fruit trees all around. We truly enjoyed our stay outside of one issue, no cable TV hook ups. The over the air HD reception was poor. The staff was wonderful! Nice shower rooms and laundry. Great gameroom and comfortable lounge.

Wonderful place! The way a KOA campground should be - like camping. Friendly helpful staff, wonderful owner. Level clean sites. The BEST showers we have ever used at a KOA. We will stay again and again.

The park is kept pin neat and clean….exceptionally friendly staff and very welcoming; we received an extremely thoughtful “welcome” gift bag, a first for us and a really cool way to say hello. Our puppy also had the joy of her own “Puppy Palace”, a small clean pen for her unleashed but still contained enjoyment. Not a single bad thing to say - my wife and I just enjoyed it.

We looked forward to our return trip and staying at Picachu KOA. It’s a small camp that is very clean, the staff are super friendly, sadly we missed the pool this time as we arrived a bit later than expected. Bathrooms are worth the drive and the large dog park was a big hit with our dog. Room for her to run and me to chase her. Will definitely stay again on future trips.

Peace and quiet. Every when there seems to be a lot of campers.

I did not meet with staff in person, but when speaking on the phone there were very helpful. I came in late. They left me a map and my information. It was an easy pull through, had a great night stay.

Arrived late and could not fully understand the process. We took the one site that fit our needs but could not figure out how other late arrivals would find sites. We enjoyed a pleasant night of rest.

Only stayed one night but I’m impressed with how well kept the place is! And all the little touches, available coffee, tea and snacks, toys and games for kids and adults…what a nice touch!

Very clean restrooms, nice set up for showers a bit cold could have used a heater but it was understandable due to outside weather. Late check in was easy to get our information and site. Easy access to interstate. Would definitely stop again if traveling in the area.

Highly recommend. We love this oasis. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Very clean and neat. Pool is lovely . We always stop here for a couple of days while traveling I 10. BOOK IT, you won’t be sorry.

The price is way too high; $63/night is price gouging. I-10 very noisy, railroad noise louder than I-10, and the neighborhood loud music over the trains and interstate.

This is a great Jouney KOA! The washrooms, laundry and rec room were very clean. The camp sites well groomed. The owners, owners family and staff were very polite, friendly and professional. The only suggestions I would make is to have an activity on New Years Eve and to install a dusk to dawn or motion sensor light at the end of the sidewalk behind the pool that leads you to the washrooms.

Great home base to visit family and explore the area. Campground was clean and quiet. The showers were great!

Good place to stay to visit the local area like picacho state park or the casa grande ruins. The roads in the campground get pretty dusty so slow speed is a must. The size of the paw pens is a little small to be useful.

A very nice KOA located west of Tucson, Arizona and east of the I-10 and I-8 intersection near Casa Grande. Very close to Pacacho Peak mountain trails. Swimming pool is heated, very large room inside with seating, TV, games and book exchange. The host and owner was very friendly and accommodating. A very nice young man led us to our RV spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Level gravel sites and nice large lots. Very will priced! Also private RV spots with decks and fencing. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for welcoming us.

After several days at Picacho Peak State Park without full hookups, arriving at Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey felt like the kind of reset you do not fully appreciate until you need it. We arrived a bit early while the office was closed for lunch, but the large parking area out front made it easy to pull in, park, and have lunch without any stress. Once they reopened, check-in was smooth, everyone was friendly, and being escorted to our site was a great first impression. Our site was a large pull-through with full hookups (everything worked flawlessly), and even though you do not choose your own site, we ended up in one we likely would have picked ourselves. Site 69 was under a huge willow tree with a wide view over nearby farmland, and watching cows and horses grazing gave the whole stay a calm, open feel right away. The willow tree also provided real shade, which made a noticeable difference during the day. The biggest shift for us was how easy everything felt. After being without water and sewer, having full hookups again made this stop feel less like a pass through and more like a place to actually settle in and recharge. The gravel roads and gravel sites were straightforward to navigate, and the park felt very big-rig friendly with plenty of room to maneuver. Sites are well spaced and easy to pull into, with a layout that feels open rather than tight. It was also noticeably quiet. Despite being close to I-10, it felt surprisingly peaceful, especially at night, and with very few people around us it was easy to relax after more active stops earlier in the trip. From a family perspective, this KOA works really well. There is a playground, a dog park, and a large jellybean-shaped pool that gave the kids space to play and unwind. The rules for children were clear and reasonable, like staying with an adult and no playing after sunset, which helped keep the environment safe without feeling restrictive. One of the most memorable details was their “follow the rules, get a cookie” system. On our way out, our boys ran into the office to let them know they had followed the rules and came back out with cookies in hand. It was such a simple idea, but it made the experience feel personal and stuck with them more than anything else. We also had a bundle of firewood delivered right to our site, which was convenient and added to the overall ease of the stay. Overall, this is a great example of a stop that does more than just meet basic needs. It is practical, quiet, and well run, but also has enough thoughtful touches to make it feel welcoming and memorable. It works well for both a quick overnight stop or a few days to reset. If you are traveling through this part of Arizona and want a place where you can recharge, enjoy the stop, and feel genuinely welcomed, this is absolutely worth it.
