The staff were extremely friendly, but I left with an overall bad taste. The “year-round” pool was unheated, and my kids weren’t about to swim in 60°F water. Speaking of the kids, they were $5/day extra each. Our 2-night stay was close to $200 for essentially a gravel site with hookups and 2 shower stalls (they were good showers, at least).

Kind staff, well spaced sites with picnic table and fire pit, clean bathrooms, fair amount of machines in the laundry

The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean. The only thing I didn't like was the pool wasn't heated. Apparently the heater was broken and a new one hadn't been installed yet. Everything else was great!!

Well maintained campground: easy check in, level spots, nice amenities and friendly staff. Been to many KOAs and these are the nicest bathrooms! Fluffy bath mats and waterfall showers. Lovely!

Hosts were great, numerous activities. Internet on north side intermittent and traffic noise. Clean facility.

The site is clean and easily accesible. Hosts are hospitable and helpful. Road and helicopter noise is horrible at night.

What a welcoming, helpful team that runs this top rate location; this team defines the term "customer service". I shopped at the park store, used the laundry facilities and spent some time in the guest club house. The pups loved the dog area, again, very well maintained.

The staff was friendly and returned phone calls quickly. The park grounds and all facilities were clean and well maintained. I thought it was a nice touch that the National Anthem was played every morning at 9:00. I would stay there again.

The staff was very friendly. The lots are spacious and the grounds are beautiful!! I got a spot with a dog pen that was very reasonable. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area!

Super clean bathrooms and great common area. Next to a busy highway so not super quiet if you're in a tent and the dog run lights stay on late so probably a better place if you're in an RV.

Friendly, Helpful People. Even though We got in at closing. The place is gravel. The gravel was raked and level and neat. All the hookups worked. Good water pressure. Quiet neighbors.

Very clean. Easy in and out

Extremely friendly owners and staff. Very clean, well landscaped and meticulously maintained. Water and power were both good for an older park. Spares were wide and well spaced apart.

The young girl who checked us in very friendly and competent, grounds were manicured, laundry and bathroom exceptionally clean. One of the best KOAs I’ve stayed at, and I’m picky! I would stay again and recommend. Play activities for young and old, a rec room, shade at most sites and the gravel was raked clean!

Owner and office staff were outstanding. We had a snafu and they worked out the details very quickly. Laundry room was spotless. I would have to say it has been the best KOA I have stayed at.

What a pleasant place!!! The staff rales the gravel every day. Had a wonderful patio with Adirondack chairs, fire pit, table with 6 chairs and an umbrella. Staff was super friendly and helpful!!!

Nice clean camp ground. Easy access with large sites. Friendly staff. Only down side is train and interstate close by. Did get used to train noise. Would stay again.

Very clean and staff was super nice and accommodating. Too bad about the highway noise. Would be nice to have additional places to take trash.

Very friendly staff. The place is very well kept. Everything nice and neat. Close to several attractions and the Sonoran museum is a must see when in the area. Yeah the highway traffic and train due make some noise but it was like a white noise for sleeping.

Good place to stay to visit the local area like picacho state park or the casa grande ruins. The roads in the campground get pretty dusty so slow speed is a must. The size of the paw pens is a little small to be useful.

A very nice KOA located west of Tucson, Arizona and east of the I-10 and I-8 intersection near Casa Grande. Very close to Pacacho Peak mountain trails. Swimming pool is heated, very large room inside with seating, TV, games and book exchange. The host and owner was very friendly and accommodating. A very nice young man led us to our RV spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Level gravel sites and nice large lots. Very will priced! Also private RV spots with decks and fencing. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for welcoming us.

After several days at Picacho Peak State Park without full hookups, arriving at Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey felt like the kind of reset you do not fully appreciate until you need it. We arrived a bit early while the office was closed for lunch, but the large parking area out front made it easy to pull in, park, and have lunch without any stress. Once they reopened, check-in was smooth, everyone was friendly, and being escorted to our site was a great first impression. Our site was a large pull-through with full hookups (everything worked flawlessly), and even though you do not choose your own site, we ended up in one we likely would have picked ourselves. Site 69 was under a huge willow tree with a wide view over nearby farmland, and watching cows and horses grazing gave the whole stay a calm, open feel right away. The willow tree also provided real shade, which made a noticeable difference during the day. The biggest shift for us was how easy everything felt. After being without water and sewer, having full hookups again made this stop feel less like a pass through and more like a place to actually settle in and recharge. The gravel roads and gravel sites were straightforward to navigate, and the park felt very big-rig friendly with plenty of room to maneuver. Sites are well spaced and easy to pull into, with a layout that feels open rather than tight. It was also noticeably quiet. Despite being close to I-10, it felt surprisingly peaceful, especially at night, and with very few people around us it was easy to relax after more active stops earlier in the trip. From a family perspective, this KOA works really well. There is a playground, a dog park, and a large jellybean-shaped pool that gave the kids space to play and unwind. The rules for children were clear and reasonable, like staying with an adult and no playing after sunset, which helped keep the environment safe without feeling restrictive. One of the most memorable details was their “follow the rules, get a cookie” system. On our way out, our boys ran into the office to let them know they had followed the rules and came back out with cookies in hand. It was such a simple idea, but it made the experience feel personal and stuck with them more than anything else. We also had a bundle of firewood delivered right to our site, which was convenient and added to the overall ease of the stay. Overall, this is a great example of a stop that does more than just meet basic needs. It is practical, quiet, and well run, but also has enough thoughtful touches to make it feel welcoming and memorable. It works well for both a quick overnight stop or a few days to reset. If you are traveling through this part of Arizona and want a place where you can recharge, enjoy the stop, and feel genuinely welcomed, this is absolutely worth it.
