The place is lovely & very scenic. I found their nightly rates $99. to be high & then was charged a "Resort Amenity Fee" of $10.00 per night on top of that. When we checked in, I asked what the fee was for, the unfriendly woman at the desk said its for " the store, propane, kayaks/paddleboards, (all of which we have to pay for) the community fire ring,etc. Other KOAs provide these no charge.

I am sorry for the confusion. Our fee covers the kayaks/paddleboards fishing poles. To use these you just go to the store and sign them out. We also use that money for the pickleball and basketball court as well.

This campground gets better every time we stay. We were so pleased to see the addition of the beautiful new pool and pickle ball courts!

Loved the campground, well maintained, staff was friendly and courteous, great trails, liked the piers and being able to walk out on the water, sites were spacious and level—definitely plan to return.

First time, enjoyed all the amenities and activities, which included live music at the fire pits, arts and crafts and bingo. The staff at this location are top notch. We can’t wait to visit again

The campground was clean and the staff was professional and helpful. Unfortunately, the high winds off of the Currituck Sound made our stay extremely uncomfortable, as we were stuck inside our camper the majority of our trip, so we left a day earlier than planned and cut our trip short. I don't know if this is normal wind patterns for this campground, or if it was just the timing of our stay.

It is always a beautiful place to stay. The staff was very helpful and assisted me in extending my stay another night. Clean bathhouse and grounds. We'll be back soon!

Nice campground. Everyone is friendly. Pool not open yet, pickleball court, plenty of ponds to fish at aside from the sound. Not peak season & if you have ever camped at a KOA you know the golf cart traffic can be insane. Nice nature trail. At site WV45, on the end and not as large of a yard as represented in photos for what I paid. That was misleading. No grill. I would camp again just not WV45.

We love staying here with our grandkids. Lots of activities. The staff is super friendly and much improved amenities. Management is doing a great job!

This was our first time at the Currituck KOA and have nothing but good things to say! The campground was clean and well set up. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful and just amazing. We will, absolutely, be back!!!

The jump pad was awesome. The weather was beautiful and the park and bathrooms were clean. Everyone was so friendly. We loved our stay.

The sites are to close together and the cost is very unfriendly to family budgets. Didn't feel the value was there. Probably going to cancel June reservation.

Staff is great, Joe was awesome and good to talk to. Went for First Responders weekend for the 4th year I think. Nice to not be rushed out on checkout day. We are usually slow to get moving after Saturday!

Always a great trip but seems like it's getting better. Staff is polite and helpful, grass is cut and clean, sites are clean. The addition of the pool, basketball and pickleball were a great addition. We look forward to our next stay soon. Keep doing what you're doing!

I love the generosity for the first responders weekend. But there was some confusion at check-in - said I wasn’t booked in a lot but then later in the weekend sent an email saying no show. Love the waterfront and view lots - just wish they weren’t so close together.

We stayed for the 1st responders weekend. It was very enjoyable. We appreciate KOA taking the time recognize those that serve. The camp ground was clean and well maintained. Staff was pleasant. Look forward to swimming in the new pool.

I just love this campground. So many activities, weekly themes, and the best managers and staff. They really make your stay feel special. And you meet the nicest campers. I could just float in the sound all day, so peaceful. The nature trails, the eagles flying over, the deer, rabbits and ospreys. Best campground I've ever stayed at.

Disappointed there was no mini golf or carts to ride in the track. And no pool for any part of the season.

The campground is one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are all great very professional. The campground is secure. and there is plenty of things to do there you’re never bored.

I am a seasonal camper at this campground and this will be my third year coming up. I just love the location, the staff, and how well maintained this campground is. My favorite spot ever!!

We love our seasonal campsite. This place is great. My only gripe is the Wi-Fi is terrible. I know we are camping but when staying for a longer period of time and occasionally getting bad weather, it would be nice to have a good signal.

Every one we're very nice, it's just that the trailer spots are so close together it's hard to even park. It would be nice to if there could be a sandy beach at the water. It's hard to get in and out of the water there.

This park is large, visually clean, and well-maintained. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and they do their best to assist guests. The park is almost there, but there is only one dumpster location, so you'll likely want to rent a golf cart if you're staying farther away. The biggest reason we're taking stars off is the overwhelming fly problem. There were thousands—possibly tens of thousands—of house flies during our stay, and they affected every part of our family's experience. Simply opening my truck windows while connecting our truck and trailer resulted in hundreds of flies getting inside. There is nothing dead or rotting in my vehicle; the flies are coming from the surrounding area. The flies constantly bother people and pets and make it difficult to enjoy being outdoors or do so much as leave your car window open for more than a minute. There is no leaving your camper door open either, even with a screen. Even after leaving the park, I still have hundreds of flies in my truck. Unfortunately, this issue significantly impacted an otherwise pleasant stay.

Just finished up a weekend with my 5yr grandson. We brought him here last year also. This is his special trip of the year. Never disappointed. I cannot say enough about the staff and quality of entertainment. Dinosaur weekend was amazing. From Jurassic Park trilogy movies playing in the garage, to Lizard King bringing his reptiles, then to making amazing KOA Tye Dye shirts that we were able to decorate and bring home. Craft tables, games.... Mary is one of the staff members here that stood out to us. She has been the face of entertainment and crafts for us for our past few visits. So sweet and nice and definitely helpful in the arts & crafts, and always available to help out. I wish I knew everyone's names here bc each of them played such a huge part in us having so much fun this weekend. From the store front, pool, garage, sites,grounds, activities. Everyone in the staff was just amazing. The facilities were impeccable. We really love coming here. Campsites level,clean. Views are amazing. This year they had the water taxi and kayaks available. We didnt use them, however we did see them being used. So much for a lil'one to do here. To also make it more special, due to the wind we couldnt use our fire pit due to us being waterside, however the play area has them (less windy inland) and of course this wonderful place had their firepits roaring and provided amazing music by Heather, and smores by the main firepits that was provided for everyone. Just can not say enough how much this place makes each trip so special. Thank you so much and see you again next visit.

Great place, super friendly staff, nice amenities, fun activities. It is a little pricey but expected of a place with such beautiful views. Our only complaint is the pool hours. It is open from 10am until 6pm, the earliest of any campground we have stayed at. Hopefully, the will extend the hours until 8 or 9pm in the future. Other than the pool hours, our stay was great and relaxing.
