This is my favorite Campground. We have stayed twice in our motorhome and twice in a cabin. The addition of the pool is a plus.�

I love this camp group only suggestions I have is on the WV cabin, please power wash, so many dead bugs. Fix broken blinds and may be add a second in tv in other bedroom. Everyone wanted to relax and watch tv laying in bed. But overall I will be back.

Staff very responsive to all my requests. Facility offered quiet camping with plenty of activities to occupy my down time. Beautiful views and area of NC many never get to see!

Something happened. We came in on Sunday May 31st and on Tuesday we have 40 mph wind storm come through. We stayed in our camper all day that day then weed's wanting to go see wild horses but the boat was stuck in mud because the water level had fell down too far. Then the swimming pool with the brand new beautiful pool. The big old yellow umbrellas are super size. It went from 100 ft to 4 ft so a

Love this KOA. Already scheduled our next visit. Cabin is clean. Only issue is floors are dirty. Which we noticed on our visit in April. Also noticed the cleaning person uses a swiffer which doesn’t actually clean. Our feet turned black after walking in cabin barefoot for an hour. We brought our own mop and bucket this time and mopped the floor when we first checked in. Water turned dark brown.

We stayed over the memorial day weekend. My family and I had 4 different sites. We had a problem with the gas not working and they sent someone quickly but were unable to get it working. Problems will happen from time to time and what matters is how management handles it and in the end I was satisfied and they made it right. We will be planning another trip .

This is one of the best campgrounds I have stayed at in a very long time! The layout is easy to navigate and there are quite a few amenities on site . We stayed in one of the cabins by the water and it was very spacious and totally worth the cost! The pool area they put in is absolutely beautiful! I cannot wait to come back!

The most beautiful KOA in the collection w/ friendly vibes, Jeepers, & well-kept grounds. The new pool & pickleball courts looked great (too cold to use). Store had amazing biscuits & gravy, breakfast sandwiches, & free coffee. Room for improve:RV floor was rotted & needed leveling, hard bed (expected), heat didn’t work (poss op error), no hot water. Bring linens, heater, blanket, and a vacuum.

Water front cabin was perfect. The only thing that could have improved was the weather. Super excited to return to try out the pool when it’s warmer. Had a small issue with AC that was quickly resolved with a phone call. Will definitely be back.

Our water view cabin was very clean and accommodating. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a nice playground for the kids and we cannot wait for the pool to open. Will definitely be back!

Great stay the people in the office were polite and very helpful when asking questions. Also told us about things going on there doing the year. Would be nice in the cabins to have a rail in bath tub area to grab on when getting in bath tub.

It’s a great place to stay. I love the cabins. Worth it just to see the sunrise over the sound! I wish you would add the screens back to the porches. You had them years ago but they were removed.

The cabin was adorable and very clean. We loved sitting on the porch and taking in the views! Our pups enjoyed the dog park and lots of walks. We were blessed with gorgeous weather and relaxation.

The floors in the cabin were dirty. Our daughter walked around in bare feet in the cabin as soon as we got there and her feet were black! There were so many flies in the cabin. We were not warned of this being an issue so we found an hardware store to buy fly strips to hang in the cabin. Everything else was fine.

Another great stay at KOA! We always have a great time at KOA, and Outer Banks West is no exception. Gorgeous views of the water, a pleasant nature trail, and friendly and accommodating staff - as always. The crabbing and fishing was also good. We will definitely be back.

We got put in a beautiful waterfront cabin and the cabin had a wonderful view of the bay, the sun and the moon! Kids loved the jump pad and playground,and the cabin had very comfy beds.We enjoyed the KOA store( friendly staff), fishing and crabbing ���.Overall the trip was an amazing experience!!!!

The staff is very accommodating!! I called many times with many different requests and questions and they have always been friendly and patient. We originally got a reservation for a tent site but due to the weather we decided to get a cabin for the one night we were there. The staff made it happen even though there’s a 2 night minimum for the cabins. Thank you guys so much!! We all loved it!!

Beautiful location, facilities, and great customer service. Everybody we came in contact with was extremely friendly and made our stay great. We were there for a softball tournament and the staff were very kind to our team. I loved that everything was dog friendly. We will definitely be back again.

We found the staff to be friendly and incredibly helpful. Our stay was not what we expected. There was bad weather that dumped inches of rain. It seemed that much of the water drained to the area around our camper and the few next to us. In the middle of the night, we were woke by the camper (that we rented) leaking. We loaded the truck in ankle deep water.

Please enforce the quite hours of 11-7!!!!! I know everyone is on vacationing having fun, but others dont want to hear kids screaming on playground at 6:20am just because its light out now! Everyone pays to be here and deserves to be respected. ALSO......TELL EVERYONE WHEN MAKING A RESERVATION ABOUT THE BUGS SO PEOPLE ARE WARNED AND HAVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THEIR RESERVATIONS IF BUGS ARE AN ISSUE.

This park is large, visually clean, and well-maintained. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and they do their best to assist guests. The park is almost there, but there is only one dumpster location, so you'll likely want to rent a golf cart if you're staying farther away. The biggest reason we're taking stars off is the overwhelming fly problem. There were thousands—possibly tens of thousands—of house flies during our stay, and they affected every part of our family's experience. Simply opening my truck windows while connecting our truck and trailer resulted in hundreds of flies getting inside. There is nothing dead or rotting in my vehicle; the flies are coming from the surrounding area. The flies constantly bother people and pets and make it difficult to enjoy being outdoors or do so much as leave your car window open for more than a minute. There is no leaving your camper door open either, even with a screen. Even after leaving the park, I still have hundreds of flies in my truck. Unfortunately, this issue significantly impacted an otherwise pleasant stay.

Just finished up a weekend with my 5yr grandson. We brought him here last year also. This is his special trip of the year. Never disappointed. I cannot say enough about the staff and quality of entertainment. Dinosaur weekend was amazing. From Jurassic Park trilogy movies playing in the garage, to Lizard King bringing his reptiles, then to making amazing KOA Tye Dye shirts that we were able to decorate and bring home. Craft tables, games.... Mary is one of the staff members here that stood out to us. She has been the face of entertainment and crafts for us for our past few visits. So sweet and nice and definitely helpful in the arts & crafts, and always available to help out. I wish I knew everyone's names here bc each of them played such a huge part in us having so much fun this weekend. From the store front, pool, garage, sites,grounds, activities. Everyone in the staff was just amazing. The facilities were impeccable. We really love coming here. Campsites level,clean. Views are amazing. This year they had the water taxi and kayaks available. We didnt use them, however we did see them being used. So much for a lil'one to do here. To also make it more special, due to the wind we couldnt use our fire pit due to us being waterside, however the play area has them (less windy inland) and of course this wonderful place had their firepits roaring and provided amazing music by Heather, and smores by the main firepits that was provided for everyone. Just can not say enough how much this place makes each trip so special. Thank you so much and see you again next visit.

Great place, super friendly staff, nice amenities, fun activities. It is a little pricey but expected of a place with such beautiful views. Our only complaint is the pool hours. It is open from 10am until 6pm, the earliest of any campground we have stayed at. Hopefully, the will extend the hours until 8 or 9pm in the future. Other than the pool hours, our stay was great and relaxing.
