Our stay was nice but my son was disappointed to see the pedal cart track and the mini golf course had been taken away. Also, we didn't see any signs of a swimming pool that was supposedly going to be ready by summer. There should be more activities for kids to do especially in the cooler months like the golf, pedal carts that were taken away.

We had a wonderful waterfront lot! The views were beautiful, the staff was friendly and polite! This was first responders weekend and we truly appreciate all of the support shown to us! We will definitely will come again!

KOA OBX has been one of our favorite campgrounds! Nice facilities and friendly staff. We already have reservations for later in the year.

We did enjoy our stay. The only complaint was sites are tight. We were not able to fit on the first assigned to us as our camper was too big. The staff was very helpful in finding us another spot to put our camper. The staff stayed to help us get in the site, I really appreciate all the help in finding us a spot. Next time I will ask for a pull thru site that way it is not an issue.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! The First responders weekend was great .. unfortunately the normal prices and the lack of shade are a deterrent for us.. but this weekend weather was perfect.. and we enjoyed it .

Wonderful stay!!! Away from traffic & the hustle and bustle of the OBX, DEFINITELY worth a little extra drive. We camped in a waterfront back in site on the east side, the most BEAUTIFUL place to wake up to the sunrise in our back window!!!!! An amazing breeze the entire time made our stay even better. We’ll surely be back! Btw, they’re planning on adding a pool & other cool stuff!

Staff was great. Booked a water view spot but there were trees grown up to block the view. Did get a refund and they were great about it. We kept the spot we had booked.

Folks at the desk were pleasant - campground was pretty empty. A few complaints - I paid extra to have a patio. It was so dirty we couldn't sit on it. Also- campground was clearly not picked up - lots of dog poop everywhere. Otherwise - it was pleasant and relaxing. Water views and walking areas were very nice.

First time staying at a KOA didn't realize you had to pay extra to reserve the spot that you want. Otherwise they just stick you wherever they want to stick you in the area. Water pressure was very poor. The trailer sites are very close together.

We had a single night stay at the OBX West/Currituck LOA, but I recommend multiple nights to take advantage of all the amenities they offer. We were able to get some laundry done and grab some breakfast at the store, but did not have time for a hike or playing a game of cornhole! Would stay again.

The campground is nice and well-kept. The views from the waterfront sites are fantastic. It was a little bit buggy, though, with small flies that got into our RV. We didn't use the showers, but we peeked at them and they appeared clean. We think the best sites are 7, 8, 9, and 10.

Quiet, relaxing, beautiful! Good for fall/off season camping. I would think it’d be too crowded if fully booked as sites are small. Also, wish there was someplace dogs could easily swim!

It’s the ghetto of KOA. I always choose premium campgrounds and all my choices have been great except for Currituck. Lost all water pressure the second day. No offer to comp me.. I used my own water because I was afraid of contamination. Longtermers sites are cluttered with old bikes tires. My site was smaller than a postage stamp. Currituck is a dump.

We liked our site on the water. Nice views! Thank goodness for the breeze by the water. The large swams of flying bugs were awful. You couldn’t sit outside unless there was a breeze.

We do get a lot of the midge flies in this area. We are hopeful the marsh burn this winter will help this issue. We hope to see you again in the future.

Loved the place but the flying insects were so so bad you couldn't enjoy the outside. They would fly in the camper when the doors were open if you got in your car they got it and they were so hard to get rid of that is one problem that y'all really do need to address other than that your Park is beautiful

Have stayed at this koa many times and love the views, however the low points are starting to add up. Right now this koa has a great general manager. But the employees that run the store have attitude problems and makes for a very unpleasant experience. Water pressure has always been a problem and really needs to be addressed. Could not even flush properly. Hope these issues are addressed.

Was supposed to be in G-3 and family in G-4. When got there was in G-4 and family was 2 spots down. In G-4, big holes and could not level camper so had to move over some making it difficult for sewer lines. No cable plug in outlet, looked like it was pulled out. Internet didn’t work at all. No trash pickup.

It’s a nice place. The staff are very caring and friendly. The owners policy and the ridiculous waiver for every and anything that could go wrong they accept absolutely no responsibility for anything even if it’s their fault/negligence etc. I have stayed T 23 KOA’s across the USA and never did I have to sign such a ridiculous waiver. Sign or get out. I’ll never go back. Staff is grea

Our stay was just overnight but it was nice except the bathrooms had alot of bugs in them and when we went to get pizza and wings they where all out at 1pm

This park is large, visually clean, and well-maintained. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and they do their best to assist guests. The park is almost there, but there is only one dumpster location, so you'll likely want to rent a golf cart if you're staying farther away. The biggest reason we're taking stars off is the overwhelming fly problem. There were thousands—possibly tens of thousands—of house flies during our stay, and they affected every part of our family's experience. Simply opening my truck windows while connecting our truck and trailer resulted in hundreds of flies getting inside. There is nothing dead or rotting in my vehicle; the flies are coming from the surrounding area. The flies constantly bother people and pets and make it difficult to enjoy being outdoors or do so much as leave your car window open for more than a minute. There is no leaving your camper door open either, even with a screen. Even after leaving the park, I still have hundreds of flies in my truck. Unfortunately, this issue significantly impacted an otherwise pleasant stay.

Just finished up a weekend with my 5yr grandson. We brought him here last year also. This is his special trip of the year. Never disappointed. I cannot say enough about the staff and quality of entertainment. Dinosaur weekend was amazing. From Jurassic Park trilogy movies playing in the garage, to Lizard King bringing his reptiles, then to making amazing KOA Tye Dye shirts that we were able to decorate and bring home. Craft tables, games.... Mary is one of the staff members here that stood out to us. She has been the face of entertainment and crafts for us for our past few visits. So sweet and nice and definitely helpful in the arts & crafts, and always available to help out. I wish I knew everyone's names here bc each of them played such a huge part in us having so much fun this weekend. From the store front, pool, garage, sites,grounds, activities. Everyone in the staff was just amazing. The facilities were impeccable. We really love coming here. Campsites level,clean. Views are amazing. This year they had the water taxi and kayaks available. We didnt use them, however we did see them being used. So much for a lil'one to do here. To also make it more special, due to the wind we couldnt use our fire pit due to us being waterside, however the play area has them (less windy inland) and of course this wonderful place had their firepits roaring and provided amazing music by Heather, and smores by the main firepits that was provided for everyone. Just can not say enough how much this place makes each trip so special. Thank you so much and see you again next visit.

Great place, super friendly staff, nice amenities, fun activities. It is a little pricey but expected of a place with such beautiful views. Our only complaint is the pool hours. It is open from 10am until 6pm, the earliest of any campground we have stayed at. Hopefully, the will extend the hours until 8 or 9pm in the future. Other than the pool hours, our stay was great and relaxing.
