The campground site is beautiful – surrounded by water. The staff were attentive and personable, and we enjoyed interacting with them in the office, store and on the grounds. A special shout out to Noka. The negative for us was that the sites are very close together. We prefer a little more space.

I always stay at KOA's when I I travel. The problem I am seeing is that the KOA is turning into a trailer park. Don't forget this is CAMPING. There is little thought given to the tent campers. No privacy. Wedged in with long term residents. Tent Camping is really car camping. No pull ins for car at tent site. Had to pay more for a different site.

It was very nice pleasant quiet people real nice didn’t get to explore too much my first experience I have brought my dogs as hard to really do a lot with them, but we made by learned a lot anyway thanks

Nice convenient getaway. Still growing . Had items stolen from the campsite. Do not blame KOA just people being people I guess. Campground is nice beautiful sunset over the sound. People at the welcome center and store were very nice and helpful.

We had the best time. The park has alot of activities and the bath house and grounds were very clean. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely be going back soon.

Loved our site WV45. Weather not very cooperative but our view was great. Bath house clean, store small but adequate, clean laundry facility

Staff were awesome. We arrived a little early after driving all night. They allowed us to check in a little early. They had staff get us propane, and help us set up as this was first RV trip. Lovely campground.

There were groups of kids baseball teams who set tents in the RV area. They were very close to our trailer and very noisy well past 10:00 PM. The wi-fi was minimal and constantly dropped. The camp store opened late and closed early. Except for check in, we never spoke with an employee.

We had a great stay. We even extended an additional day. Great staff, clean restrooms and good amenities . Will be back, hopefully the pool construction will be finished.

It's beautiful with the water along the Outer Banks of the campground with lots of birds and wildlife. We loved having a water view although the spaces are a bit too close together. Most of the amenities were not open yet.

Their really isn't much to do for kids except the playground. The bouncepillow is nice until 4 kids were bouncing and it definitely has a hole as the kids were sinking down. The cornhole bags were torn and missing bags, we did have our own bags but bring your own. We plan to go back after they finish the pool etc. The map said they had mini golf and track for pedal carts which they don't have

I would suggest treating the grounds for ants, lots of ant piles at our site. Site and stay was great

Staff could be friendlier. Lot’s of construction noise and dust. Camp store was out of commission. Pier 4 was inaccessible. Cable TV was out. Golf cart daily rate was too expensive.

While we loved our waterfront site, the miniature golf and pedal car track were gone. The camp store was open, but the building was under construction as is the pool. No cable as it was cut. The place was torn up with little to do (kayaks & paddle boards were available), despite having to pay the daily activity fee. I recommend calling and asking if construction is done/amenities are available.

WiFi very poor. Cable TV didn't work. A long drive to get to the outer banks. The curvey highway in and out to the campground has a 25 mph speed limit, understandable, you cannot pass another vehicle if you are in a RV without someone getting off the road. If you like being in the middle of nowhere, this campground is for you. $10 fee per day per pet. Excellent staff.

Visited May 1-4. Had Water view site, gravel pad, full hookups. Sites are close together maybe 12ft between pads making sitting alongside your camper difficult and crowded by the next sites power/water/sewer hookups. sites have good area behind pads for relaxation. Bathhouses were clean, Store was well supplied. Red Ant mounds abound throughout the campground. KOA needs a pool & large pavilion.

It was a beautiful, clean, well-maintained park. The staff was great and super friendly. We spoke with just about everyone on the staff at some point during our stay, and that does not happen at every park. The activities that were scheduled were great. We will be returning.

No cable, no WiFi, no refund. We reported problems with WiFi and cable on day.1 and we were assured they would be fixed shortly. When we left on day 5, both were still broken.

We have stayed several times in the past several years, staff is always great but as usual maintenance is subpar. This trip, cable went out second day and was not repaired. The store was having problems with refrigeration and air conditioning. I know that as a seasonal campground there are issues with reopening after the winter closure, but they have been opened for a month.

I guess knowing the full story would help explain. We are upgrading the drainage system around the campstore which cause our ac's to have to be disconnected for a week. The company working cut the cable line. We are now at the mercy of our cable provider to come. Hopefully all will be resolved soon!

waterfront deluxe back in site. The sites are to tightly packed together. The platform was behind our RV to sit at. There was no way to cover it so that we weren’t sitting in the full sun or rain during the day. The internet connection was nonexistent at our site. Very annoying! The dumpster was extremely far away. Having trash pick up at the site would be great. The view was great

KOA is steadily making improvements to this beautiful bulkheaded site with great views of the Currituck Sound. Plenty of water activities. It currently lacks a swimming pool but the first phase of the pool and water park are currently under construction. The staff is the best you’ll find anywhere!

Best campsite ever! Shhh! Don’t tell anyone. Site WV 46. Excellent hosts, well maintained yards. Skipper, the dog, loved the Dog Park. Once we took him to it and gave him plenty of time to sniff, use the bathroom, and run a little bit (he’s 12.5 years old and we were surprised at him running??), he headed for the dog park every time we left our campsite .Over diet WV 46, we’ll be back!

Tough to find signs. Missed it completely. Need better signage from 158. Road in is not compatible with large units. The grounds themselves are Very nice. Staff were very helpful, facilities were Very acceptable.

KOA people are very helpful. The location is amazing. The only issue is the single road in is very narrow, but it's worth it.

This park is large, visually clean, and well-maintained. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and they do their best to assist guests. The park is almost there, but there is only one dumpster location, so you'll likely want to rent a golf cart if you're staying farther away. The biggest reason we're taking stars off is the overwhelming fly problem. There were thousands—possibly tens of thousands—of house flies during our stay, and they affected every part of our family's experience. Simply opening my truck windows while connecting our truck and trailer resulted in hundreds of flies getting inside. There is nothing dead or rotting in my vehicle; the flies are coming from the surrounding area. The flies constantly bother people and pets and make it difficult to enjoy being outdoors or do so much as leave your car window open for more than a minute. There is no leaving your camper door open either, even with a screen. Even after leaving the park, I still have hundreds of flies in my truck. Unfortunately, this issue significantly impacted an otherwise pleasant stay.

Just finished up a weekend with my 5yr grandson. We brought him here last year also. This is his special trip of the year. Never disappointed. I cannot say enough about the staff and quality of entertainment. Dinosaur weekend was amazing. From Jurassic Park trilogy movies playing in the garage, to Lizard King bringing his reptiles, then to making amazing KOA Tye Dye shirts that we were able to decorate and bring home. Craft tables, games.... Mary is one of the staff members here that stood out to us. She has been the face of entertainment and crafts for us for our past few visits. So sweet and nice and definitely helpful in the arts & crafts, and always available to help out. I wish I knew everyone's names here bc each of them played such a huge part in us having so much fun this weekend. From the store front, pool, garage, sites,grounds, activities. Everyone in the staff was just amazing. The facilities were impeccable. We really love coming here. Campsites level,clean. Views are amazing. This year they had the water taxi and kayaks available. We didnt use them, however we did see them being used. So much for a lil'one to do here. To also make it more special, due to the wind we couldnt use our fire pit due to us being waterside, however the play area has them (less windy inland) and of course this wonderful place had their firepits roaring and provided amazing music by Heather, and smores by the main firepits that was provided for everyone. Just can not say enough how much this place makes each trip so special. Thank you so much and see you again next visit.

Great place, super friendly staff, nice amenities, fun activities. It is a little pricey but expected of a place with such beautiful views. Our only complaint is the pool hours. It is open from 10am until 6pm, the earliest of any campground we have stayed at. Hopefully, the will extend the hours until 8 or 9pm in the future. Other than the pool hours, our stay was great and relaxing.
