I visited in April so it was not busy, this probably made a difference. A beautiful campground, clean and nice staff.

We had a space inland with a beautiful view of the water. Too cold to swim but the campground is getting ready for summer. Nice places to walk along the water. Very clean bathroom and the grounds were well manicured. We enjoyed our camp experiences.

Early season hours did not support us and it is so far off the path it made getting ice and firewood difficult. The bath houses we locked at night and the store was closed.

Positives: Great WiFi connectivity, friendly & helpful staff, super view of the Albemarle Sound! Negatives: Deluxe site w/small patio deck. The deck was behind the RV, not beside it where most tables or decks are. We never used the deck. Had to take our trash to the dumpster. Most campgrounds, including other KOA's that we've stayed at, the trash is picked up.

So many things closed, not operational or in disrepair. Unhappy being charged full price for half of what’s promised in materials. All staff at time we great and not their fault. How about a refund for the disappointments sorry but after staying at many koas we have come to expect more

Clean but over priced. No amenities were available. Every thing was closed except on the weekends. This wasn’t advertised. Water pressure was very low so if you have a tankless water heater you have to use your water pump to get hot water. Sewer connection was too high resulting in difficulty draining black and gray tanks.

Always a relaxing stay. Only thing to hit is not enough for kids to do. Need a pool or something. The snack bar never opened during our stay. Not sure why and nobody could tell me why. Love the campground but think I'll start looking elsewhere.

Lots are very close together When setting up reservations, we stated that we were traveling with family and would like sites beside one another if possible. We were given sites 6 spaces apart while there were two empty sites immediately beside us on the other side.

Their stock in the camp store was empty and the restaurant they have was closed. The little pedal carts were broken. The mini golf corse is made with plywood and the mulch that is around the course is on the green.

Don't agree with the $10 charge for all inclusive. We just needed a place to home base out of.

Pretty far out. Only complaint is the bathrooms were dirty. Expect cleaner bathrooms, paying a lot of money to camp.

Very clean, friendly KOA. Had a nice water view site. The only negative would be it is far from Elizabeth city and the outer banks but the campground is very nice.

Wifi was weak. Camp store had VERY varied hours. The arcade machines ate coins and/or didn't work. If staff could pick up trash that would be amazing! The dumpster is NOT CONVENIENT.

We were disappointed that almost all amenities listed were closed. Regardless, we were still charged a $10 per day amenity fee. The one day we were there that the store and snack bar were open, they had absolutely no food. The shuttle bus was not available. The closest store was 30 minutes. Staff was lovely and the site was spacious and level. Not up to KOA standards we have come to appreciate.

For years this has been my “ go to” campground as o only live 30 minutes away. I think I may have to find another “go to” campground now. The campground is nice. The staff is nice. It just seems like this KOA nickel and dimes you to death. I have always paid extra for KOA because they are usually very nice campgrounds but this particular KOA has gotten too expensive after all the extra

Campsite was clean and well maintained and staff was friendly and helpful. Have stayed at the Outer Banks/Currituck Sound KOA previously, and it's one of our favorite local camping spots. Will definitely stay there again :-)

Lovely spot. Nice staff. Family Public bathrooms are not well designed. They are back 7 miles on a narrow road, which actually is the end of the road. So that part is a bit of a slog. It also makes for a total privacy and a lack of noise. But basically The campground is well-kept up the spaces are adequate. The View across the sound is amazing. I would highly recommend this campground!

My husband and I stayed here with the grandkids. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. There was never a dull moment. Always something to keep the kids busy and lots of peace and quiet for us to relax. The staff is friendly and the site is beautiful. Just perfect

Overall, the stay went very well! The bath house is clean. We used the laundry room during our stay, and thought the price was a bit high for washing/drying. We would also like to see more food/candy products offered in the camp store.

Loved the water view, cleanliness of bath house and camp store with the cafe and ice cream. Super great place for families with kids. Older campers without kids, the remote location and very tight and close together sites and a negative. Hence, high rating for families, low rating for retired couples. If you're the right demographic, super place.

The grounds are beautiful and the scenery is amazing. It is pretty far from a grocery store and not much food for sale in the store. Could use some more amenities. We stayed in April and the kayaks were closed down and the volleyball was flooded. My kids only did the pedal bikes. They would have loved a Gaga ball pit or basketball court. The staff was friendly and everything was very clean.

After staying here regularly over the last three years. Our most recent visit was by far the worst experience we’ve had. New management has changed the overall feel. Definitely a turn in the wrong direction!

Always a good time, and so grateful to have the support on First Responder Weekend. It’s always appreciated to be able to bring my family and have such a good time because of KOA. Beautiful water front spots with absolutely everything that we needed to have a fun weekend.

Very well kept resort! The spaces are gravel and level and plenty of space between spots. Lots of things for kids to do. Bathrooms were super clean and tended to throughout the day. Our space had a really nice seating area overlooking the water. We were only there a few days to spend time at Outer Banks, so that is a journey. We would've stayed closer, had we realized. The speed signs are no joke…from the KOA where there's only one way in and out (the police were waiting to ticket a little outside the entrance) and all through the Outer Banks. We saw so many people pulled over (including us). Just pay attention because the speed changes fairly often.

Beautiful place. They have everything you need to recharge. My husband and I stayed here before some races. We really enjoyed it. We were here during the week, so we didn't get to go in the store. It looked like it had some cool stuff.
