Views were great from campsite across from water. Felt a little crammed in for park that was not full, but feel like the site was recommended for water view. I would rather be back a little and so crammed in as there were plenty of empty sites. Paid amenity/ resort fee but feel I get no benefit from it this time of year as water taxi not running, kayaks not usable. Get a pool!!

Great location with a great staff. Our site with a view of the water was great with one exception, it had an issue with ground bees.

Friendly staff, very clean cabins, well maintained park. Cabin on the water well worth it! Beautiful, peaceful. Teens enjoyed experience, loved the golf cart rentals. They enjoyed swimming from dock (in April!). Pizza at store was a big hit.

Great time. Will give 5 stars when pool is done, that's the only thing missing for family campers. Everything was great. Friendly staff. Great facilities, everything at the site worked. Great playground.

We stay here often because we live just down the road from the campground. It really is an oasis. Beautiful scenery and incredible ambience. Just be careful not to go during the hotter months because of the mosquito population. It really looks like the biblical Egyptian plagues! otherwise, perfect everything!

This is a nice relaxing place in the Outer Banks, but away from all the busy traffic. Joshua and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

We were told the Cafe closed at 7p. We walked there at 6p, there isn't a phone # to call to order, and were told the ovens were off. After traveling all day and not feeling like cooking, this was disappointing. The "swimming area" is a dock you can jump off of into dark ocean with a ladder to get back out. There is no beach/sand area to walk in. This place is too far out of the way at a dead end.

Accurate! The campstore does close at 7pm on weekends, but we have to shut the oven off to cool down. We do have a swimming area, but our campground sits on the Currituck Sound which has no beach access. We are proud of our 'dead end' location as people can come here to relax and enjoy true camping.

The staff was very friendly and informative! The snack bar needs a lot of work! It took a very long time to get food. They are selling “boneless wings”, which ended up being very overcooked chicken nuggets with a half of a bottle of barbecue sauce poured on them. They were horrible!!!

Our stay was nice but my son was disappointed to see the pedal cart track and the mini golf course had been taken away. Also, we didn't see any signs of a swimming pool that was supposedly going to be ready by summer. There should be more activities for kids to do especially in the cooler months like the golf, pedal carts that were taken away.

We had a wonderful waterfront lot! The views were beautiful, the staff was friendly and polite! This was first responders weekend and we truly appreciate all of the support shown to us! We will definitely will come again!

KOA OBX has been one of our favorite campgrounds! Nice facilities and friendly staff. We already have reservations for later in the year.

We did enjoy our stay. The only complaint was sites are tight. We were not able to fit on the first assigned to us as our camper was too big. The staff was very helpful in finding us another spot to put our camper. The staff stayed to help us get in the site, I really appreciate all the help in finding us a spot. Next time I will ask for a pull thru site that way it is not an issue.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! The First responders weekend was great .. unfortunately the normal prices and the lack of shade are a deterrent for us.. but this weekend weather was perfect.. and we enjoyed it .

Wonderful stay!!! Away from traffic & the hustle and bustle of the OBX, DEFINITELY worth a little extra drive. We camped in a waterfront back in site on the east side, the most BEAUTIFUL place to wake up to the sunrise in our back window!!!!! An amazing breeze the entire time made our stay even better. We’ll surely be back! Btw, they’re planning on adding a pool & other cool stuff!

Staff was great. Booked a water view spot but there were trees grown up to block the view. Did get a refund and they were great about it. We kept the spot we had booked.

the cabin was delightful. the only thing we could have used was a spatula in the kitchen but everything else was absolutely perfect!

This park is large, visually clean, and well-maintained. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and they do their best to assist guests. The park is almost there, but there is only one dumpster location, so you'll likely want to rent a golf cart if you're staying farther away. The biggest reason we're taking stars off is the overwhelming fly problem. There were thousands—possibly tens of thousands—of house flies during our stay, and they affected every part of our family's experience. Simply opening my truck windows while connecting our truck and trailer resulted in hundreds of flies getting inside. There is nothing dead or rotting in my vehicle; the flies are coming from the surrounding area. The flies constantly bother people and pets and make it difficult to enjoy being outdoors or do so much as leave your car window open for more than a minute. There is no leaving your camper door open either, even with a screen. Even after leaving the park, I still have hundreds of flies in my truck. Unfortunately, this issue significantly impacted an otherwise pleasant stay.

Just finished up a weekend with my 5yr grandson. We brought him here last year also. This is his special trip of the year. Never disappointed. I cannot say enough about the staff and quality of entertainment. Dinosaur weekend was amazing. From Jurassic Park trilogy movies playing in the garage, to Lizard King bringing his reptiles, then to making amazing KOA Tye Dye shirts that we were able to decorate and bring home. Craft tables, games.... Mary is one of the staff members here that stood out to us. She has been the face of entertainment and crafts for us for our past few visits. So sweet and nice and definitely helpful in the arts & crafts, and always available to help out. I wish I knew everyone's names here bc each of them played such a huge part in us having so much fun this weekend. From the store front, pool, garage, sites,grounds, activities. Everyone in the staff was just amazing. The facilities were impeccable. We really love coming here. Campsites level,clean. Views are amazing. This year they had the water taxi and kayaks available. We didnt use them, however we did see them being used. So much for a lil'one to do here. To also make it more special, due to the wind we couldnt use our fire pit due to us being waterside, however the play area has them (less windy inland) and of course this wonderful place had their firepits roaring and provided amazing music by Heather, and smores by the main firepits that was provided for everyone. Just can not say enough how much this place makes each trip so special. Thank you so much and see you again next visit.

Great place, super friendly staff, nice amenities, fun activities. It is a little pricey but expected of a place with such beautiful views. Our only complaint is the pool hours. It is open from 10am until 6pm, the earliest of any campground we have stayed at. Hopefully, the will extend the hours until 8 or 9pm in the future. Other than the pool hours, our stay was great and relaxing.
