We really enjoyed our stay! The only thing that was a little MEH was the wildlife. We saw two snakes while we were there. One of the snakes was in a grassy area by the camping store so after that we really kept to the graveled/paved areas while walking our dogs. The other was near the marshy tent camping area. Wildlife is a part of camping! The workampers were there quickly and handled them!

We are first time RV campers. We have camp 2 times & both times at KOA Currituck. We live this place. Your are surrounded both nature & water. We rented a golf cart this trip. We played cornhole, volleyball & swam. We brought our dog both trips & she enjoys the dog park & walking the trails. Planning our next trip!!

We had a water view site on the sound. The water was beautiful, and the highlight of our trip! Very peaceful, family oriented camp ground. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was due to the sites. They really cramp you in there, even with the “deluxe” or water view sites. They’re designed for you to hand out on the back of your camper. Would stay again though!

Very nice campground but it is very challenging to get to the campground. We go here alot and to see them take the cart track out was very upsetting for the younger kids. Can't wait for the pool to get installed.

Great place! They took care of the leak in RV rental when we reported it. The only negative was queen matteress in RV rental was sunken in middle so not comfortable. Looking forward to the pool! Staff and owners were outgoing and very accomodating!

We love camping here. I will be happy when the pool is completed. Would love to see more ladders along the bulkhead and down the pier. That would make it 100% for me. Great place to relax-very peaceful.

Wonderful camp. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Barking dogs (3) in site WF16 were annoying, and the owner did nothing to correct the dogs.

Our site was spacious but right alongside several manhole covers right underneath our outdoor area. Sites were closely spaced with no shade. Nice location.

Thank you for helping us out with accommodations for our grandson and his wife. Tent camping in all that rain is not what they planned for�. They loved staying in the cabins�ϋ�. All workers at the campground are friendly and so helpful. We had a wonderful time during our stay! And we feel safe here�

It a nice area but way over priced. We were supposed to have a water view spot but it was blocked by a tree. The cable was out and we didn’t receive anything in place of the lack of cable service. Most other campgrounds give you stickers and other stuff in your welcome packet. The price to pick your spot is ridiculous. The staff was very nice.

Everything was good except no tv and no pool and no real beach like we anticipated.

The area around the campground is beautiful. If you are looking for something quiet, then this is the place. It was too quiet for us. Also, the pool has yet to start construction (sign says it was due this year). We did not receive a text from the campground and had to seek out a way to order fire wood, etc.

The site was not as described. No grill. No glider. The view was amazing. The firepit was too close to the camper so we could not use. The neighbors grill was inches away from our camper so if they had used it we would had a a real problem. Pool was not opened as originally described on the website. The staff were extremely friendly. It was okay but doubt we will be back or recommend.

The park suited our needs while there. I do recommend the following, more advertisement of ongoing events. More events with adults in mind. 3 washers and dryers is not enough for a park this size in my opinion. Staff was friendly and accommodating during our stay. The upcoming pool will definitely be a good addition!!

Everything was great. We loved Kayaking on the sound. Kids love swimming by the dock. We also really enjoyed the Comedy show, please keep doing it. we laughed so hard. Can't wait for the pool to open !!

My daughter, her fiance and myself stayed for 5 days and had an absolute blast!! The staff was so kind and welcoming and helpful! JOSHUA was our absolute favorite!! He's the best! Can't wait to return next year! Think this will be a returning yearly vacation!! We recomment this KOA 100%

I highly suggest creating a sandy beach for swimming. It is dangerous to have children go to the end of the pier to jump off where it is over their heads and the current is strong. The roped area doesn't even have a ladder.

Our first time and we'll be back. I enjoyed my stay so much. Sites are close but your back yard of sites are spacious with beautiful views and more than makeup for closeness. Courtesy and friendly campers . Great staff. There was one camper with music too loud for hours and was very disappointed that staff didn't get them to turn it down just a little "Pool coming will turn 4 into 5!"

We had a enjoyable stay ,the staff is friendly and helpful but there is improvement needed with the roads and RV site pads. We have stayed in campgrounds for half the money that had paved roads and concrete RV pads.

We had a very nice stay here. Loved all the activities, especially the boat rides. Captain Chris & first mate Noca were awesome. Everyone who worked at the KOA were pleasant & super helpful, great staff!

4.5 Rating The staff were all fabulous! We were disappointed to see the go-carts and track were removed and the swimming pool is still under construction. The bathrooms/showers in the rear of the main building were very clean and mostly free of bugs. The separate shower house was clean, but overrun with mosquitos. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return again next summer.Thank you!

The bugs were horrible, no water pressure, sites are so small your neighbors septic is at your front door. Dog poop everywhere!

I rented a tent spot first for 2 nights, I will not be doing that again cause the spiders are everywhere and they ate me a live. I also rented a camper for one night which was much better since I was getting bit all night. The staff was awesome and they couldn't be any more professional. I will recommend this campground to family and friends, but I will not be recommending the renting a tent spot.

The first two nights we stayed in the tent site and it was infested with spiders. The next night we rented one of the RVs and it was amazing! Even with the spiders, the place is still really pretty.

The bathrooms were not as clean as they have been in the past. Also, the CABLE TV was not the best, very limited stations. The stations we did get would go & out. Not good connections .? Other than those 2 things, everything else was great. Even the weather. We enjoyed our stay & plan on on coming back.

Great several days - Only issue that were a very minor issue was the store hours. Closing early on Sunday was a wow. Also closed for lunch and the sign did not say what time to expect reopening - just stated Out to lunch. - if they could have wrote return at 1:30 pm as an example. See you again in Sept. thanks.

Way to many bugs and not cleaned up. Bath house was absolutely gross covered in bugs. Ants all over the site. We have stayed several times and this was the worst I have every seen it. Definitely has gone down hill.

This park is large, visually clean, and well-maintained. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and they do their best to assist guests. The park is almost there, but there is only one dumpster location, so you'll likely want to rent a golf cart if you're staying farther away. The biggest reason we're taking stars off is the overwhelming fly problem. There were thousands—possibly tens of thousands—of house flies during our stay, and they affected every part of our family's experience. Simply opening my truck windows while connecting our truck and trailer resulted in hundreds of flies getting inside. There is nothing dead or rotting in my vehicle; the flies are coming from the surrounding area. The flies constantly bother people and pets and make it difficult to enjoy being outdoors or do so much as leave your car window open for more than a minute. There is no leaving your camper door open either, even with a screen. Even after leaving the park, I still have hundreds of flies in my truck. Unfortunately, this issue significantly impacted an otherwise pleasant stay.

Just finished up a weekend with my 5yr grandson. We brought him here last year also. This is his special trip of the year. Never disappointed. I cannot say enough about the staff and quality of entertainment. Dinosaur weekend was amazing. From Jurassic Park trilogy movies playing in the garage, to Lizard King bringing his reptiles, then to making amazing KOA Tye Dye shirts that we were able to decorate and bring home. Craft tables, games.... Mary is one of the staff members here that stood out to us. She has been the face of entertainment and crafts for us for our past few visits. So sweet and nice and definitely helpful in the arts & crafts, and always available to help out. I wish I knew everyone's names here bc each of them played such a huge part in us having so much fun this weekend. From the store front, pool, garage, sites,grounds, activities. Everyone in the staff was just amazing. The facilities were impeccable. We really love coming here. Campsites level,clean. Views are amazing. This year they had the water taxi and kayaks available. We didnt use them, however we did see them being used. So much for a lil'one to do here. To also make it more special, due to the wind we couldnt use our fire pit due to us being waterside, however the play area has them (less windy inland) and of course this wonderful place had their firepits roaring and provided amazing music by Heather, and smores by the main firepits that was provided for everyone. Just can not say enough how much this place makes each trip so special. Thank you so much and see you again next visit.

Great place, super friendly staff, nice amenities, fun activities. It is a little pricey but expected of a place with such beautiful views. Our only complaint is the pool hours. It is open from 10am until 6pm, the earliest of any campground we have stayed at. Hopefully, the will extend the hours until 8 or 9pm in the future. Other than the pool hours, our stay was great and relaxing.
