we stayed from Friday till Sunday we were in town for a baseball tournament, and we all stayed as a team. the kids loved the fishing as did the adults and the swimming in the beach water.

We enjoyed our trip here for my son’s birthday. We were looking forward to going to the beach and unfortunately the shuttle won’t available but we still enjoyed ourselves. Playground, bounce pad, volley ball, paddle board & kayaking was very enjoyable. We will be returning.

Campground is wonderful, with a lot of activities and clean. Only issue is the mattresses in the TV rental are wore out and feels like sleep on boards

this is my favorite place to camp. I was a little disappointed that the pool was not ready, but overall, the staff and amenities and activities in the area are phenomenal.

We had a great time during our stay. Our cabin was the perfect location and was great for our family of four. The beds were also super comfortable and would love to know the brand :-) the staff was super friendly and the campground and all of the facilities were very clean! Thank you for making our stay wonderful !

Nice location, friendly employees. Some sites are very small. No water taxi to Timbuck II as stated on website. Arcade was “temporarily” closed our entire stay. Still waiting on plugs for paddle boards. Be aware of midges, especially if your in a site under trees and the wind is calm.

When we booked the cabin the website said the new pool would be open but they haven't started any construction on the pool. The mini golf course was taken down and the arcade was closed. The sunset cruises that are advertised were not running. We were very disappointed that those items were advertised when we booked last year but when we got there for our stay they were not able to be utilized.

We apologize for the inconvenience of some of our amenities being down. Mini golf was removed and will not be replaced. The pool is slated to open 09/05.

Beautiful campground right beside the sound. Very friendly and helpful staff and bath house was extremely clean and nice. Bugs are ferocious in the summertime, but that’s typical for the area. Campground is getting a pool soon, which it needs desperately.

3 night stay in one of there trailers. Trailer is 4 yrs old, according to build sticker, and was in very questionable shape. Not made for the frequency of use it gets. Staff is amazing! Great piece of property BUT a long way from the causeway to OBX. Needs way more trees planted to increase shaded site options. Facilities were nice, could use more attention throughout the day.

Although we usually stay at KOA Resorts, and are used to more "bougie" amenities, this campground did not disappoint. From the fishing & swimming to the well stocked store, we had a blast. We were shocked by the free shuttles & the water taxi and when I inquired about the cost of renting a kayak or paddle board, I didn't expect it to be free! Staff was wonderful! We'll be back. �ϋ�

Campground has a lot of potential. It’s far away from everything and they have no pool. Store hours are not late.

Nice, clean, well-kept campground with great views of the sound and outstanding staff. It was, however, disappointing that the swimming pool was not ready as advertised or even constructed (as far as I could tell).

Beautiful campground, friendly helpful staff! Once the pool is added and if the camp store stayed open a little longer it's gonna be a great campground. Hookups were convenient for our rig and the site outdoor furniture on the deluxe sites were so nice!

We stayed for 2 nights in a waterfront RV rental and overall had a great experience. The convenience, amenities, and friendly staff really stood out. However, we were a bit disappointed that the "waterfront" view was blocked by overgrown bushes. For $30 more per night, we expected a better view. If they If they trimmed that area up, it would easily be a 5-star stay!

We loved this KOA for the great location, incredible views and wonderful amenities. The staff was helpful and easily accessible and the campground were well-maintained and perfectly outfitted for our RV trip with our family of 5.

Had a very relaxing stay. All the staff were wonderful and put on a great carnival weekend that my 4yr old granddaughter loved. She had a blast and enjoyed the swimming as well. This was our second stay and would recommend!

Beautiful setting but lacked amenities (mini golf & pedal carts) that were advertised in the KOA directory. Camp store hours were too limited for the summer season. We were unable to do activities such as the arcade or the food options due to the short hours. Enjoyed the jumping pad and nice playground but had children that were disappointed to not be able to do other things. Staff was friendly!

We really enjoyed our stay! The only thing that was a little MEH was the wildlife. We saw two snakes while we were there. One of the snakes was in a grassy area by the camping store so after that we really kept to the graveled/paved areas while walking our dogs. The other was near the marshy tent camping area. Wildlife is a part of camping! The workampers were there quickly and handled them!

We are first time RV campers. We have camp 2 times & both times at KOA Currituck. We live this place. Your are surrounded both nature & water. We rented a golf cart this trip. We played cornhole, volleyball & swam. We brought our dog both trips & she enjoys the dog park & walking the trails. Planning our next trip!!

We had a water view site on the sound. The water was beautiful, and the highlight of our trip! Very peaceful, family oriented camp ground. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was due to the sites. They really cramp you in there, even with the “deluxe” or water view sites. They’re designed for you to hand out on the back of your camper. Would stay again though!

Very nice campground but it is very challenging to get to the campground. We go here alot and to see them take the cart track out was very upsetting for the younger kids. Can't wait for the pool to get installed.

Great place! They took care of the leak in RV rental when we reported it. The only negative was queen matteress in RV rental was sunken in middle so not comfortable. Looking forward to the pool! Staff and owners were outgoing and very accomodating!

We love camping here. I will be happy when the pool is completed. Would love to see more ladders along the bulkhead and down the pier. That would make it 100% for me. Great place to relax-very peaceful.

Wonderful camp. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Barking dogs (3) in site WF16 were annoying, and the owner did nothing to correct the dogs.

This park is large, visually clean, and well-maintained. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and they do their best to assist guests. The park is almost there, but there is only one dumpster location, so you'll likely want to rent a golf cart if you're staying farther away. The biggest reason we're taking stars off is the overwhelming fly problem. There were thousands—possibly tens of thousands—of house flies during our stay, and they affected every part of our family's experience. Simply opening my truck windows while connecting our truck and trailer resulted in hundreds of flies getting inside. There is nothing dead or rotting in my vehicle; the flies are coming from the surrounding area. The flies constantly bother people and pets and make it difficult to enjoy being outdoors or do so much as leave your car window open for more than a minute. There is no leaving your camper door open either, even with a screen. Even after leaving the park, I still have hundreds of flies in my truck. Unfortunately, this issue significantly impacted an otherwise pleasant stay.

Just finished up a weekend with my 5yr grandson. We brought him here last year also. This is his special trip of the year. Never disappointed. I cannot say enough about the staff and quality of entertainment. Dinosaur weekend was amazing. From Jurassic Park trilogy movies playing in the garage, to Lizard King bringing his reptiles, then to making amazing KOA Tye Dye shirts that we were able to decorate and bring home. Craft tables, games.... Mary is one of the staff members here that stood out to us. She has been the face of entertainment and crafts for us for our past few visits. So sweet and nice and definitely helpful in the arts & crafts, and always available to help out. I wish I knew everyone's names here bc each of them played such a huge part in us having so much fun this weekend. From the store front, pool, garage, sites,grounds, activities. Everyone in the staff was just amazing. The facilities were impeccable. We really love coming here. Campsites level,clean. Views are amazing. This year they had the water taxi and kayaks available. We didnt use them, however we did see them being used. So much for a lil'one to do here. To also make it more special, due to the wind we couldnt use our fire pit due to us being waterside, however the play area has them (less windy inland) and of course this wonderful place had their firepits roaring and provided amazing music by Heather, and smores by the main firepits that was provided for everyone. Just can not say enough how much this place makes each trip so special. Thank you so much and see you again next visit.

Great place, super friendly staff, nice amenities, fun activities. It is a little pricey but expected of a place with such beautiful views. Our only complaint is the pool hours. It is open from 10am until 6pm, the earliest of any campground we have stayed at. Hopefully, the will extend the hours until 8 or 9pm in the future. Other than the pool hours, our stay was great and relaxing.
