As always, the KOA people are fabulous! They are the reason to come back. Unfortunately, taking the screens off of the cabins meant that there was a continual battle with flies in our cabin. It was truly a pain. Part of why I came back was the fact that we could enjoy the outdoors on the screened in porch. Despite every effort, the flies were there. It wasn't from the door.

This was our second stay. Location is great. We enjoy the activities they plan each weekend. The staff is super friendly.

We made last minute plans! Water sites were still available! The Prices are VERY expensive or we would come more often! This was an expensive camping trip for us but we had a blast! The only other complaint was we had fire ants on site 17 really badly! I didn't realize it was so bad until Monday morning I woke up with blister bites all over! I did tell the grounds crew.. Hopefully they sprayed!

Nice Campground with waterfront. Only drawback is the bathhouse which is not clean and there are only 4 units available for such a big and spacious park.

Really enjoyed our stay here. This was our third stay at this location. We enjoyed being in the water. A recommendation would be to add more ladders to access the water. Would also like to see a swimming pool added to this location

Everything was great except the bath house. This is our 2nd time at this campground and the bath house is always NASTY. The water from the showers just flows all o er the room floor and creates mud. It is VERY unsafe and unsanitary. This needs to be fixed ASAP. No evidence of the bathrooms being cleaned while we were there... but every single bathroom had mud and excessive water all over.

We rented a cabin for a week and it was fabulous! The staff were beyond amazing and friendly. The cabin was clean, a/c, full size fridge, beds were comfortable and the view was STUNNING! Having a porch to relax on, or sitting near the fire were also wonderful. The ability to go paddleboarding and kayaking were a favorite of ours. The teens enjoyed just jumping into the sound and we traveled to OBX

Very nice clean campground. Beautiful water views. Campsites are extremely close together, we had very noisy neighbors two sites down that made it difficult to sleep.

Good but the bathrooms on the other side of the campground from the tents makes no since as campers and cabin have bathrooms and showers in them. Even something as simple as just restrooms without the showers by the tent sites. Also to offer a few tent sites with electric would be nice. I would only recommend someone staying there if they have a camper, get a cabin, or have a golf cart.

The restrooms where the laundry room is located had dirty standing pools of water in the them every time we went in. Unfortunately these were the closest ones for us to access so we were in them a lot. As soon as you step in the door there’s nothing but a dirty puddle to step in. So gross! We did go into the big bath house to shower and it wasn’t too bad, but also not much better.

Location itself is beautiful, especially if you have an RV. For tent campers though, I’d look elsewhere, especially for the price. No water nearby and toilets and bathhouse are at least a 10 minute walk away at the farthest end of the campground. Unacceptable unless you rent one of their golf carts for $55 a day. Definitely need more bathrooms/ showers at the tent end.

This campground has become our preferred spot for a quick vacation. The waterview cabins are perfect for our family and sunrise is spectacular! Beautiful location with lots of trails and quiet spaces. The Outer Banks are a quick ride away. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Wonderful location, the deluxe cabin we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. My family took advantage of all the free amenities. We loved being able to fish, kayak, play miniature golf, race the peddle carts and we couldn’t get our kids to leave the jump pad. We will definitely be coming back next year!

Not only were the staff friendly and helpful, but the other campers were really nice, too. Even the dogs were nice. Our dog really enjoyed the k9 camp. We loved the water with all the great ladders on the docks. We enjoyed the kayaks, the put-put golf and the food trucks. We loved the clean, spacious individual bath houses!

Our stay was wonderful. We booked a waterfront site for three nights. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The campground was well maintained and the store was well stocked. They had a beautiful butterfly garden, a walking path, and fun activities each day. We filter our water but at times still feel like there is an unpleasant taste or smell, but this water was great.

Great location, quiet and serene—just what we needed to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. This KOA is tucked away behind Church's Island neighborhood, so you wouldn't even know it's there. The roads are very narrow when going through this area before you get to the KOA, so keep that in mind if you have a big rig. But don't let that scare you, because there are plenty of big rigs that go there. Yes, we're going to visit again. The staff was great, the location is great, and the bathrooms and laundry facilities were excellent and well-maintained. The convenience store was great, and the fun activities they have outside, like a jump house, putting green, and little mini go-karts that are powered by pedal power, are worth trying out if you want to work out. Oh, and make sure you visit the Morris Farmers Market in Currituck, which is about 26 minutes away. It's definitely a place you need to visit for the shopping, the food, the music, and the environment—it's totally worth it. And if you want to venture out a little further, like we did, we went to Kitty Hawk, which only took us barely an hour to get to. It was such an easy and scenic drive, and we got to see an awesome part of history when it comes to the first recorded flights and innovation.

Very well kept resort! The spaces are gravel and level and plenty of space between spots. Lots of things for kids to do. Bathrooms were super clean and tended to throughout the day. Our space had a really nice seating area overlooking the water. We were only there a few days to spend time at Outer Banks, so that is a journey. We would've stayed closer, had we realized. The speed signs are no joke…from the KOA where there's only one way in and out (the police were waiting to ticket a little outside the entrance) and all through the Outer Banks. We saw so many people pulled over (including us). Just pay attention because the speed changes fairly often.
