We have stayed at the campground several times now and have an upcoming stay to take advantage of the KOA Rewards Weekend. We Love so much about the campground, but we were VERY disappointed to see the car track and mini golf had been removed when we arrived last week. When I asked a staff member why they were gone, she said because of the pool (not even open yet). So disappointed!

It was a nice facility. But not hardly anything for kids to do. Some stuff interactions were very unpleasant and rude. I understand that people have bad days but the way they talked to toddlers (the parents do/did a great job of keeping their kids inline) was unprofessional.

This was our very 1st trip in our new to us RV. What a wonderful experience. Everyone was so friendly. Especially Rebecca and Noka who were there for ALL the questions we had lol. The site was breathtaking. The amenities were everything you could possibly need including parts in the store! You can literally go here and not have to leave. We HIGHLY recommend this KOA! Thanks Everyone!!

I would recommend this KOA, conditionally. The grounds, facilities, water views, people, were all great. However, I would only recommend going during a time of year when there are not midges (tiny, non-biting bugs) present. Or if you do, ask in advance if you can be moved if you happen to be in a location that has been "chosen" by them to swarm.

First time at this campground. The price was very reasonable. We camped with us and our two dogs. The campground is very well set up, lots of space, very well maintained and very clean. The check in was fast and very friendly. We were able to reserve a pull thru and it was fabulous. The utilities and amenities are fantastic and the views, WOW. Fishing's good too.

1st time staying in the cottages, we have stayed many times in our B-Van RV. We brought our granddaughter so needed more space. We loved the cottage! AC worked great, great water pressure in shower, everything was very clean and beds were comfortable.the kitchen had the basic things but next time i would bring a larger skillet and larger baking sheet. Loved it! Will be back!

I had a wonderful time. Took the free water taxi to see the wild horses. So many amenities to choose from. It will be fantastic when they get the pool.

Wonderful stay beginning to end. Every accommodation you can think of incl. boat trips, fishing gear, kayaks, camp store. Soooo much to do! Cabins had beautiful views and comfortable. Staff went above and beyond and super friendly! Would definitely stay here again!!!

An amazing stay at the Outer Banks KOA. Everyone there was extremely nice & helpful. We had 2 WF sites & 1 cabin with our group. The hot water heater in the cabin messed up 1 night & started leaking. We called security & Joshua was there in no time. It couldn't be fixed that night due to not having the parts on hand & he offered another cabin or keys to 1 beside us for bathroom. Best time ever!

Campground was clean, staff super friendly and helpful. Free water taxi to Corva - big plus. We loved our guide - Go NOCA! But it's away from everthing - the Wright Museum, grocery stores and the beaches. But the campground itself is great!

Campground was nice. The sites were a little tight. The morning of checkout was awful. I woke up to every sqaure inch of my RV & truck covered by bugs (midges). When I asked KOA staff if this is normal they replied yes but they are only in certain spots of the campground. On top of that I had to wash the RV and truck when I got home because the bugs leave a green residual behind. I wont be back.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Midge flies are very common in this area in the summertime. Unfortunately, there is no effective treatment for them.

Great spot away from it all and the grounds are lovely as well, so much to do and enjoy- kayaking, paddle boarding.. swimming in the sound…. Fishing! They rent golf carts, and if you aren’t traveling in a coach or trailer already- you can stay in their rental trailers while there- how cool is that? They have a little store and some good foods to eat on at the food/ice cream counter :) love i

The check in & out process was smooth, ALL the workers were friendly & helpful. The cabin we rented was clean & everything in working order. Quiet. Good for children & dogs. They had a playground, & jump pad on site, small fenced in dog area, fire pits, lots of extra seatings. We appreciated the planned events & store/food on site. I wish they had a beach area instead of just a dock to jump off.

Had an absolutely amazing trip! Carmen in the office is outstanding! Our captain and first mate on the sunset cruise Friday were so fun and knowledgeable. (Even if it disappeared get cut short due to weather) The only issue we had is we all got eaten alive by what we assumed were sand fleas? I know it's camping and outside and there are bugs but shew! They were rough!

Campground was well kept and the activities were were great! The only complaint, which the campground has no control over was the noseeums. Man do they bite and itch! Great place, can’t wait till the pool is in!

Stayed a full week . Staff was great . The camper we rented showed its age and had a few problems. But when brought up to the staff they was very quick in fixing what was wrong . We will definitely stay here again

This KOA was the worst I've stayed at. The bugs were so bad you couldn't be outside after dark. Apparently, they don't spay the whole campground with insecticide. The wifi was non existent the further away you are from the office. They have free kayak rentals but always have an excuse why you can't use them. The swimming area is in the Currituck sound as of right now and my toes wpinched by a crab

Insects in the summer are part of southern coastal life. We have the park treated commercially monthly. Kayaks are only available during good weather as we would never put our guests in harms way.

Quiet place, all employees were super nice, a long way from stores- make sure to get what you need before driving down long road. When the pool is built, will give you that as an option

I asked on arrival about certain sites and was told they were already booked, but stayed empty all week. The grass was high all week and didn’t get mowed till Thursday. Fire rings had trash and cigarettes butts and beer cans

Very friendly staff and a great camp store with pizza, wings, subs and ice cream.lot's of outdoor activities for everyone. Only con was a serious red ant problem on the covered porch area but other than that is was fantastic.

Office staff not helpful. Booking the boat or bus should be explained when checking in. When I called before our stay I was told you could not book anything until the day of. Then when I walked over to the office to book the sunset cruise I was told it was full!! I was sirprised because it was 9 am. She said I should have booked it when I checked in! Your staff do not know your own policies.

It was a last minute decision to come to the outer banks and all our normal campgrounds were booked. KOA West managed to get us there for a solid week post July 4th weekend. The staff was great and accommodations superb. We stayed at a Water-view site with deluxe patio.

While the area and people were nice it was very far away from everything, even local stores. Also, I was pretty disappointed in the rv we stayed in. Extremely small, not very clean, and probably should have been taken out of commission as the front steps were being held up with a concrete block and a piece of wood.

Very disappointed! The sites are very close together. There are many “seasonal “ sites that have the trailers packed in and kept messy. The WiFi was hardly existent. Could not connect iPhone while inside my motorhome. I had to work while there and the only way to connect computer was with hot spot. Only positive thing was clean bathhouses.

We rented a RV, A01. We did not have water in the RV. When I mentioned it to the front worker, she said to give it time. Well, 4 days later, we still did not have water. The floor had obvious water damage and had many soft spots. We did not let these things ruin our trip, but it was worth mentioning again to someone.

The staff were great! Karen was helpful and answered all of our questions pertaining to the events happening around the campsite. My RV was nice however it was too hot to sleep in the bunk beds and our RV flooded on our last day but overall good trip.

Very peaceful campground. We would like to see “more things to do” not just during the weekday, but weekends should be fun filled and plenty of activities and entertainment to enjoy. A softer mattress for the RV beds would also be nice. Overall, we enjoyed every minute of it. Will definitely be back. Just would like more for our buck. Happy campers :)

Our first RV stay at KOA Currituck was amazing! The RV was clean, cool, and stocked with essentials—pots, plates, silverware, paper goods, and detergent. We loved fishing from the pier, grabbing ice cream, and making s’mores by the campfire. The kids enjoyed the playground, jumping pad, and fireshow. Staff and guests were friendly. Highly recommend!

Mixed feelings about the camp. The 7 mile rd into it from 168 is a real trip. Having all amenities (store, Kamp k9, bathouse/restroom) puts those @ south end of camp @ disadvantage. But, usual KOA regarding staff, clean restrooms, good/level sites. Great place to stay for those who want to go to a camp and not have to leave til it's time to go home.

Overall, a nice campground. Our site which was waterfront 24 had a huge electrical box that obstructed the view. Women's bathhouse was nice on the inside except for the thousand bugs that would come in with you due to the light right above the door!! Don't stay in WF24 and if you plan on using bathhouse, use it during daylight hours or you will be infested w bugs

This park is large, visually clean, and well-maintained. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and they do their best to assist guests. The park is almost there, but there is only one dumpster location, so you'll likely want to rent a golf cart if you're staying farther away. The biggest reason we're taking stars off is the overwhelming fly problem. There were thousands—possibly tens of thousands—of house flies during our stay, and they affected every part of our family's experience. Simply opening my truck windows while connecting our truck and trailer resulted in hundreds of flies getting inside. There is nothing dead or rotting in my vehicle; the flies are coming from the surrounding area. The flies constantly bother people and pets and make it difficult to enjoy being outdoors or do so much as leave your car window open for more than a minute. There is no leaving your camper door open either, even with a screen. Even after leaving the park, I still have hundreds of flies in my truck. Unfortunately, this issue significantly impacted an otherwise pleasant stay.

Just finished up a weekend with my 5yr grandson. We brought him here last year also. This is his special trip of the year. Never disappointed. I cannot say enough about the staff and quality of entertainment. Dinosaur weekend was amazing. From Jurassic Park trilogy movies playing in the garage, to Lizard King bringing his reptiles, then to making amazing KOA Tye Dye shirts that we were able to decorate and bring home. Craft tables, games.... Mary is one of the staff members here that stood out to us. She has been the face of entertainment and crafts for us for our past few visits. So sweet and nice and definitely helpful in the arts & crafts, and always available to help out. I wish I knew everyone's names here bc each of them played such a huge part in us having so much fun this weekend. From the store front, pool, garage, sites,grounds, activities. Everyone in the staff was just amazing. The facilities were impeccable. We really love coming here. Campsites level,clean. Views are amazing. This year they had the water taxi and kayaks available. We didnt use them, however we did see them being used. So much for a lil'one to do here. To also make it more special, due to the wind we couldnt use our fire pit due to us being waterside, however the play area has them (less windy inland) and of course this wonderful place had their firepits roaring and provided amazing music by Heather, and smores by the main firepits that was provided for everyone. Just can not say enough how much this place makes each trip so special. Thank you so much and see you again next visit.

Great place, super friendly staff, nice amenities, fun activities. It is a little pricey but expected of a place with such beautiful views. Our only complaint is the pool hours. It is open from 10am until 6pm, the earliest of any campground we have stayed at. Hopefully, the will extend the hours until 8 or 9pm in the future. Other than the pool hours, our stay was great and relaxing.
