Staying here for over 10 years, and offered multiple suggestions to improve the cabins (clean plates/cups/utensils), repair broken blinds & door handles, update the futon mattress so you don’t feel the frame - they raised prices this last year upwards of an extra $400+ and still no updates. More rules and less customer service experience made us not rebook…sad and disappointing.

When we checked in we immediately felt unwelcome because we didn't have any of our own ATVs. We were put in an area with the only facilities within walking distance were port a potty. We had planned on renting atvs and utvs the next day and staying a total of 2 nights. Instead the 4 kids with us insisted they didn't want to stay so we left in the morning and found other arrangements.

We’ve been staying at this specific KOA for 15 years and the change in the last 3 months has really affected our experience there. Specifically the overkill hassling from the gate crew and not being able to have groceries or meals delivered to the campground will make or break our stay, we have a motorhome with no tow car and can’t go to town so we depend on the KOA store and deliveries.

This is our second year in a row staying here to ride the Oregon Dunes. The kids enjoy the train rides, the ice cream social, and the playground. Only thing they missed this year was the jumping pillow. My only complaint would be the angle of the sites near site 12. It seems to be very unlevel and the waste water dump cap is much too high to allow proper gravity fed flow.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. I would only refer this KOA to my camper friends that are into dune buggies and atv's. All were very respectful of speeds on grounds, etc., but still very dusty and bare.

This appears to be a KOA for people who like to ride on the dunes with ATVs. We wanted to enjoy their natural beauty and not destroy them. Everything was extremely dusty in the office.

This year was different. We were checked and had to have wrist band on all of our tabs and such, a change. I was disappointed that the jump pad was down for most of our stay. I am also concerned about reservations… our party all stay at a different location but we choose to stay with KOA. They changed the dates on us and I am not sure we will get a spot now!

It would be helpful to be told about the shower tokens on checkin. We didn't realize they were needed until the office was closed.

Much better experience than previous visits.Campground cleaner,restrooms cleaner, campsites in better condition,more staff available,dog areas picked up and dog doo bags full. Looked like great effort has been put into campground to upgrade/clean it up. Ice cream social payment system is frustrating. You have to pay at the office and go to the rec hall but not well advertised that is the order.

Very disappointing stay. Bathrooms were not clean and completely out of soap and toliet paper outhouses were full. Prices went up on everything, double charged for several things. Charging visitors $20 for Adminities useage nothing was useable. Showers times cut off early. Only 1 token per person even after explaining shower times were cut short. Staff was rude. Kids play area dangerous.

Nice people and location. Severely understaffed. We went for and planned around the amenities and for the dunes. However no Kamper cafe available for food, no zip line available even with a sign still advertising it, no paddle boats, an unsafe fishing dock which we still used, no cable available. Bathrooms were constantly dirty and out of soap and toilet paper. Loved the caboose we stayed in.

I liked the new security measures and security checkpoint during the holiday craziness. I don’t like that we are unable to park next to friends and have our door face their door. We disagree with the reasoning!!

We were looking for a place to stay near Coos Bay for a few days to enjoy the coast and birdwatch. KOAs have always been nice so we made a reservation. All I can say ways dirty, dusty and loud. 99% of rigs that stay here have 2-3 dune buggies and quad runners that drive around all day. Dirt sites and gravel roads. Well, you get the picture. Non-duners BEWARE!

Kids yelling at night when we are tying to sleep sucked. We had to leave early for a family emergency and checked out 35 min after 11 and no refund or even most of it back so probably won't be back.

My only complaint was the lack of bathroom supplies, no toilet paper at one point then no paper towels. I'd suggest more bathroom checks especially on a holiday weekend. Everything else was fantastic, grounds are beautiful and the staff friendly!

Clean, helpful staff. Great access to the dunes, fun atmosphere and some extra activities for the kids. It would be nice if they could staff the zipline since the staff patrolling the camp every 30 min seem to have the time. Also, wish they had told us when we checked in with two sites we can't be door to door, instead of waiting 24 hrs for us to get all settled only to have to tear up camp.

Nice facilities. Excellent public relations. Very kid friendly. Also very dusty. The kid train that drives around raises a lot of dust that the wind picks up and blows through the campground.

Everything was as expected. I did have one issue, and that is political flags and banners. A group by us had large flags affixed to their rigs expressing their political beliefs that we found offensive. Of course we didn't confront them. Perhaps a rule regarding these types of statements could be considered.

We stayed in cabin L75, sleeps 6. Quiet campground. Everything was in order. They even bought some pans and utensils. Sadly they replaced the very small refrigerator with smaller. A two day supply of meals for 2 ppl plus a couple of drinks. The stores are 40min RT. I wish they would have put a larger frig in. Our price went from 169.00 to 300.00 for next year. Too much$ 4 what u get.

At first we were sent by ourselves to a space that was la Itteraly in the road. We had a hard time finding it and then realized it was not the best fit. They did allow us to change. love Steve’s CanAm rental, super nice guys and a heck of a time!

What a mess, there’s all these “rules” that are not in the rules. I feel like everything we did they were on us. Being without water for several hours not once but twice was ridiculous. We’ve been going to this KOA for 4 years it’s definitely took a dive, the grass is all dead, Rec center not open, no ice cream social, bounce pad was flat. Do not recommend go to box car instead.

New staff is 10/10. New price is hard to justify. We’ve been coming here for 15yrs it’s our favorite koa but may consider renting a house in the future due to inflated pricing. The add’l “h” sites are great but the amt of dust now by wreck hall is a bummer. Lots of speeding trucks.

Great place for fun! RV or cabins to rent. Bring your own RV and rent the space. Big trampoline and recreation room. Many sites have picnic tables and fire pits. Coffee and food hut. Store with food, supplies and souvineers. Close to sand dunes, lakes, ocean and restaurants! This is my first time here and I want to come back every year!

They have completed several really nice upgrades since last years stay. Staff are amazing and very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect and they offer a lot of additional services and fun activities for all ages. Best place to stay on the Oregon coast.

We have been camping at Oregon dunes KOA for 15 years. They have always treated us like family and Steve and his wife are great. They have fixed many of our toys to get us riding. We don't stay anywhere else.
