Nice campground, BUT they do not allow Dog Fences and did not say anything until I arrived. When I made the reservation on the phone and even told them the breed of dog, not once did they say that dog fences were not allowed. They limit you to a 6 ft leash and even say no inground stakes. The dog park is very small. This is NOT a True KOA, bought by Thousand Trails. Dumpsters were overflowing.

We paid $150 a night for a pull-through RV spot to use the hot tub but it was broken. I booked the RV site over the phone and no one mentioned the hot tub being broken. When amenities are not working this should be posted on the website and updated. We would not have paid that price to stay had we known. We spoke to management and were issued a $15 credit to our one night stay.

Our initial campsite was sunless for 30 days. 2 big units on either side & expensive for how far away & crowded . Not so much light shed on either side. The front desk (Elizabeth) was extremely helpful and approved a move to a happier location. So thankful. Our dog passed 4 days into our stay. It's been a rough month. the sunshine certainly helped. New cable will certainly be a PLUS.

Very unprofessional office sure screwed up my reservation. Made all kinds of excuses finally made it good no reason for it next no garbage pick up very inconvenient also pool is now letting kids in adult pool not good also jacuzzi not working terribly to have so many problems on a holiday weekend but get more help very unprofessional

Staff are wonderful! Campground beautiful! Only issue were the amount of fire ants on our site. Couldn’t step on the grass! Also price is a little high.

Only complaint would be that it is way too expensive and you still have to pay to use Internet.

When we plugged into electrical none of our outlets were functional. My husband had a breathing machine which is vital to his health. Instead of a 2-day stay we left very early the next morningl. I advised them they needed to check Site 52.

Overall it’s a beautiful property, very clean and orderly. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Many businesses are close by, and Lake Okeechobee is nearby. We will definitely return.

It was just an overnight stop. The Resort was very nice. Our site was pretty level such that we did not have to unhook the 5th wheel from the truck. They have a nice General Store that even sells food so we didn't have to cook or go somewhere to eat. We didn't make us of any of the amenities but they all looked very nice.

The campground itself was very nice. Elizabeth and Tyrone went out of their way to help us when we first checked in. The mini golf course was covered with debris. It hadn't been cleaned off in awhile. The pool table, which you had to pay $1.50 to play, was missing the cue ball. We told the store employees about these problems. However, they were not taken care of before we left on the 4th day.

We stayed for 5 weeks. The residents were very nice, however several of the staff were relatively standoffish. One or both of the pools were broken every day. In one there was a light fixture just dangling in the pool. Nearly every day for 3 weeks, including 2 Saturdays and 1 Sunday an employee was power washing the vacant sights right next to our camper from 8am until 5pm. Very disruptive.

Upon arrival the picnic table was filthy and leaves were all over the site. During our stay the closest mens room had tracked in mud in both stalls. On the Sunday before or departure one stall was marked out of order. I discovered until it was too late that the other stall was out of toilet paper. The closest dumpster is not convenient for walking and piled high with garbage bags.

Check in was nice and friendly. Very disappointed with lack of kids activities. Campground doesn’t seem family friendly. Website said playground was closed for refurbishment but it look as if no work is being done. Either take it down or replace. It’s terrible! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and it use to cater to families, not anymore. You seem to only cater to snowbirds.

We only stayed one nice. It is has two pools, very nice golf course!! Bar and restaurant. We didn’t use any of the amenities but they looked nice.

Enjoyed the stay, staff was friendly....but the site infrastructure is tired, needs updating. Once upon a time, in the '70's this was a nice resort. Must say, not worth the $$$. Updated!!!

WE ALWAYS ENJOY STAYING HERE. THE STAFF IS HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. WE ENJOY THE POOLS AND SHANTY. WE HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPOINTED WITH THE MUSIC. THE ONLY NEGATIVES WE HAVE ARE..... BOTH POOLS NEED SOME REAL ATTENTION, WE PREFERRED WHEN CHILDREN WERE NOT PERMITTED IN THE ADULT POOL, AND YOU REALY NEED TO WORD ON THE LAUNDRIES.

We stayed at this KOA for 3 nights . There was a Halloween party on Saturday night which was great. We had a lot of fun. We have 2 dogs that loved the dog park. We always enjoy going to KOAs . The place was clean with friendly workers. We enjoyed our stay here.

As a store/use family, I am very disappointed that I was not allowed to rollover 2 nights that we never used due to Milton. They were already paid for and the KOA would not lose any $ by allowing us to use it 9/25 - 9/27. Katie never even acknowledged or responded to my concern/request. Peggy is the rudest most unprofessional human at KOA. As a result, I cancelled the rest of my stays at Okee KOA.

With the recent hurricane that came through, power to the sites was hit or miss. Denise and Elizabeth made sure we had a site with power, so that we could keep our reservation and have a great weekend!

In spite of the storm damage, power and water outages, the park was nice. The staff was unbelievably accommodating and helpful and made the stay a positive experience. We can’t wait to come back under better circumstances and enjoy all the amenities that were unavailable due to the storm.

Shame about the appearance of the mini golf and the playground, the standing water is a major issue!!! Otherwise we had a good stay loved the shanty!!

Had a great weekend at the KOA the staff is very friendly and helpful. Was disappointed with the pool, we arrived Thursday, went to the pool Friday & Saturday and it was very dirty with yard debris and it wasn't because of the rain storm because the same bandaid was in the same area both days The new cabins are great.

I want to give kudos to Heidi and the shanty star in the food in Sierra in the general store and the three ladies at the front counter, especially Carson, who always remembers the animals and let's go broke with all the treats that she buys.although everyone here is excellent caring and like familythose fouryoung ladies have stood out some of the most patient, friendly and lovable

KOA Okeechobee turned our Fourth of July weekend into a real adventure. The activities were family oriented and had that small town holiday feeling that makes you settle in right away. We met local folks who were friendly and fun to talk to and the whole place felt welcoming from start to finish. The activity team kept everything running smoothly and made the weekend feel special. We helped carry in the watermelons for the assistant activity director and she recognized us throughout the rest of our stay, which added a fun personal touch. The maintenance staff deserves a huge shoutout. Our refrigerator tried to quit on a holiday weekend but the team went after it with real determination. They tested it, coaxed it, and out stubborned it until it started working again. Watching them win that battle was its own entertainment. The front desk team is a big part of why we keep coming back. They are kind, patient, and always make you feel like you are part of the KOA family the moment you walk in. The grounds were clean, the pool was sparkling, and the whole resort had an easygoing, friendly vibe. KOA Okeechobee gets five stars from us and we will absolutely be back.
