We had to stay there for longer than I expected and they were absolutely wonderful. Made sure everything was okay. My kids were never bored.. the pool was being redo but they made sure they could still play in the water with a jumpy thing that has water in it. They kept everything super clean and kept up. We met so many amazing people! We love this place! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ��

We need it to stay pass 11 o' clock check out time because our Grand Daughter was at Blank Children Hospital. They were very accomodating with our needs,we were able to return to our camp site and leave by 1:30 pm. Thank you Dave & Linda

Incredibly loud koa. Didnt get a wink of sleep due to road noise. No frills is ok but getting placed so close to road doesnt allow for any peace and quiet. Staff was nice but campground is not a good value for what you get

This campground is active, but quiet. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

All sites were too slanted, not able to level. Pool was closed for remodeling, not smart in hot mid-summer. Not very inviting, would not recommend and would stay again.

We could have parked on the median of Interstate 80 and it would be just as quiet. Don't plan on sleeping there!

Great staff beautiful park Super clean! Great playground and train for the kids. Pond has fishing. Close to many area attractions (Pella, Des Moines, Amana colonies, nature preserve areas, just so much in easy driving distance). This is our go to park for the summers as we are snowbirds from AZ. Just a great park. They also put in a brand new pool this year!

I was here for 4 months and it was a perfect spot to stay for work. With a close drive to Altoona/ Des Moines. I hear a lot of stuff about the interstate noise and I tell you, it wasn’t bad at all from where I was. Great and friendly staff. Glad I came here

We loved this campgrounds. So clean, the staff treated you like family. Loved seeing all the fun stuff for kids and the new pool. Will definitely stay here again.

Very friendly and patient staff person. We arrived around 9:00 pm and were able to check in. Perfect place to stay overnight while traveling. Campground is right off the freeway.

We were passing through so I was a great place to stay for the night. Close to the highway for easy access. And there lies the issue, too close to the highway if you’re a light sleeper. If you’re looking for a secluded and quiet place to stay, this is not the place for you. One the plus side, it was very clean and the staff were excited!

Pool was not open and not stated on their web site with no competition or discount as we registered on line in order to have the use of the pool. Parked very close to busy interstate 80

Tanya at check-in is amazing .. we arrived late and she stayed to make sure we were able to get to our spot . The location is right off the interstate and is a little noise but for an over quick stop it was perfect. Very clean and with flat sites.

The campground was very clean. The staff was extremely freindly and helpful. The pool was out of commision and it ould have been nice to know this in advance. The noise from the interstate was a little much.

Plenty of room in our site, staff were very helpful and courteous, and the area was beautiful. Lots of stuff for kids to do too.

Our ten day stay at Newton KOA was great. The only thing wrong was the cable tv did not work. However, we were able to use antenna tv and get everything we needed.

Check-in was easy. Everything in our site worked well. The sites were a little small both in length and width but the adjoining sites were empty and it rained all night so we didn't miss going outside.

A good overnight stop. Friendly, professional staff. Good site. Close to I80 so some noise but we slept great. Great hiking trail to stretch your legs.

the whole park as a whole is nice. being on the hill was not pleasant but we only stayed 2 nights. the workers were great. everything was neat and clean.

Garbage was laying by the can for several days and stunk by campsite. Pool was closed with no notification.

We didn't spend much time at the campground, but it was good while we were there. The spaces are tight, but since we weren't hardly there it was ok. The pool was under construction, but we also know that the next time we stay here, there will be a better set up for the pool and the patio as everything will be new. The staff was very nice, we joked around with the young gal that checked us in.

We had a GREAT TIME!!!! Nice folks, COOL disc golf course! My son got his 1st ACE!! I-80 is a BIT LOUD, but that's the only downside thing we can think of!! Tell your friends and family to STAY HERE!!!

Pros: Big rig friendly (40 foot 5th wheel) 50 amp with full hook ups Easy on and off interstate Very friendly staff Very nice playground area Very nice frisbee golf course Close to Walmart Bathrooms were clean Cons: -showers were lukewarm -sites were pretty tight Good for an overnight and would stay again

Friendly staff, a little noisy but it is close to an interstate. Sites are close, but it wasn't too busy, so they did a good job of spreading us out.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Newton KOA. As new full timers we got ourselves in a spot with tow vehicle trouble and our 2 week stay was extended into months. Tanya took good care of us getting initially situated. Jeff Adams helped us so much with everything, from making sure we were good when the weather got rough, Propane when we didn't have a vehicle, Too many deliveries to count and more. Thank you Jeff!!! As for the facility, The grounds are always very clean and nice, We really enjoyed the hiking trail. The upstairs showers and laundry facilities were always very clean. I could not imagine a better stay. I would give more stars if I could.
