Stay was great. Checkin exceeded my expectations. Due to an error (probably mine) the arrival date was for a day later. The lady checking me in was awesome & made it happen anyway. Thank you

Not very clean. Floor is very spongy and got soaked during a rain storm. I expected more from the Deluxe Cabin. The noise from I-35 is terrible. Not camping! I will not stay there again. The store is sadly lacking anything useful.

A group of friends from different parts of the state met to stay at a cabin for the night! Both the cabin and the campground was immaculate!!! The office staff was friendly and informative! The owner even stopped briefly to be sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed!! We definitely will be back!!

Everything was as expected. We went off season so not too much to do but still beautiful and we had fun. I do have to give a shout out to Moses for taking the girls on a ride in the caterpillar cars. I could tell he wanted our stay to be special for our birthday girl.

Stayed in a cabin for our daughter's wedding. Great accommodations. Loved having the grill and fire pit. Great location so close to the wedding venue at Alta House.

Staff was friendly and and professional. The trailer I had rented has seen its better days and is now ready to be put out to pasture. The door would not shut completely allowing bugs , AC, and/or heat to escape. An indoor portable AC unit stuck in what used to be a cabinet. WIFI signal was to weak to use even for email. I would recommend the property, just not the "retro trailer".

friendly staff ! nice shady spot but to close to the highway noise ! the 1967 Shasta we stayed in passing thru for one night was rough ! cute on the outside from afar but needs updated inside and out ! had ants crawling bad ! couldnt wait to leave at the crack of dawn ! and thru our bedding away !

Clean grounds and nice staff, very patient and accommodating when we locked ourselves out of our trailer. The only downside was being so close to the interstate there was lots of road noise but that’s not their fault. Great KOA overall!

Tanya Moses Clarence Rachel Sam Christian and Jeff are amazing they got us through a rough night and upgraded us to one of the beautiful cabins where we were able to rest and enjoy our final tonight what a wonderful crew Curtis and Dana should be very proud of them they went above and beyond and made sure that we were comfortable dry and happy they are golden

What a hidden gem! First time staying here and won’t be the last. We have passed it often on the interstate and we’re pleasantly surprised at how it doesn’t feel like you are right next to the interstate. Tons of trees, great activities for kids, the staff was top-notch!

We had an issue with our cabin, and the staff was all over providing a solution. If we are ever passing through the area for a future road trip, this will be the place we stay.

Had a wonderful couple nights staying here. Kids loved the barrel train ride, pool and jumping pad. A very quiet nice cabin!! One of the best KOA'S we have stayed at.

Stayed in one of the cabins for our daughters wedding weekend. Couldn't have been any more perfect!!! Comfortable place to land for the entire weekend. Even though we didn't bring our camper, the grounds are well kept, clean, staff is very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend staying here if you are attending a race weekend, or just exploring central Iowa.

I stayed in a Deluxe Kabin for 2- nights en route from California to my KOA job in New Hampshire. It was a great place to relax.

Beautiful cabin (Deluxe). It was right near a Wi-Fi tower, but no big deal, I guess. We got in late and left early, so we didn’t check anything out around the camp. We just loved our cabin.

only KOA that called me to ask if I wanted anything ! also called back when they knew I was going to be late and told me that they put the heat on for me ! Wonderful person, only thing to keep in mind is that the highway is close , may need ear plugs to sleep. other than that great place and great staff

We were at the KOA for a wedding held at the Alta Event center. The cabin was perfect for our family. Spacious, clean and centrally located! This was our first time staying at a KOA and it left such an impression that we will be looking for future opportunities when we travel. Also, was very amazed at all of the activities for kids and families to choose from while on site-especially for summer!

The grounds were Very pretty with grass and trees. Negatives...wow. Not a single miror in the ladies restrooms. No kidding...none over the 5 sink areas. None. The community room where eating activities occur were filthy, fridge filled with rotting old food and mold. Microwave with rotted food, sugar bag open to roaches and pests. (I contacted KOA admin with photos) It's up to site Mgr to fix.

Was sad the pool was under construction, but VERY happy with the accommodation of being able to use the city pool and have transportation provided. Very friendly helpful staff

Pros: Big rig friendly (40 foot 5th wheel) 50 amp with full hook ups Easy on and off interstate Very friendly staff Very nice playground area Very nice frisbee golf course Close to Walmart Bathrooms were clean Cons: -showers were lukewarm -sites were pretty tight Good for an overnight and would stay again

Friendly staff, a little noisy but it is close to an interstate. Sites are close, but it wasn't too busy, so they did a good job of spreading us out.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Newton KOA. As new full timers we got ourselves in a spot with tow vehicle trouble and our 2 week stay was extended into months. Tanya took good care of us getting initially situated. Jeff Adams helped us so much with everything, from making sure we were good when the weather got rough, Propane when we didn't have a vehicle, Too many deliveries to count and more. Thank you Jeff!!! As for the facility, The grounds are always very clean and nice, We really enjoyed the hiking trail. The upstairs showers and laundry facilities were always very clean. I could not imagine a better stay. I would give more stars if I could.
