The host was so friendly!! He greeted us by name when we walked in like he knew us. He offered us a patio sight because there were few campers so early in their season! Especially GREAT was the showers were hot with awesome pressure!! The sight was level; we didnt need to unhook for the 1 night stay!

Just stayed the night. Arrived later after the office was closed. All our paperwork was available for us when we arrived. The only negative was that all the bathrooms were locked and not available for use. Otherwise we had a great stay. Talked to the office prior to coming to make sure we could arrive late and they were very nice and accomodating.

It was a very short stay. We pulled in after dark, during a thunderstorm. One of the staff saw us pull up and contacted me as I was getting our reservation envelope from the shelves. He led us to our site. Due to the weather, we ended up only plugging in the electric cord, and didn't use the rest of the utilities. We got up fairly early in the morning and took off for our next stop.

Just a 1 night stay passing through Newton. Too cold for water hookup but we had water in our tank. No problem. We dumped our black water tank and was given access to the bathroom facilities. Thank you so much!

We were traveling across the country and were looking for a place close to the highway where we could find clean showers. We were so glad to find this wonderful spot open so early in the camping season! Thank you!

We had to hunker down for an additional night on March 19th because of a blizzard between us and our home destination. KOA made this simple and worry free.

It was a mudhole with kids running behind trailer and dogs tied up barking everywhere.

Only issue we had was the barking dogs. Don’t know if you can do anything about it but it was annoying.

While traveling during late fall and during freezing weather and sleet they were the only ones open to except weary RV travelers. Don’t other RV parks realize that RVers travel in the fall and winter too.

Nestled behind a junkyard full of dead cars, trucks and RVs lies the KOA Newton East Des Moines IA which is worth skipping. Our site was littered with cigarette butts, dog feces, and the adjacent empty site had left trash bags. Told the office about the trash, she didn't come out to collect it. RV sites had no trees or bushes in between them. Low quality KOA, very creepy.

Super nice on the phone. Very accommodating as we came in after hours and left early( on a mission to get back home to Wash.) was very pleased. We we definitely stay there again if traveling that way.

We came late in the fall and the front desk person was VERY helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay. We only stayed one night, and there wasn't much going on because it was November, but I really appreciated the help and hospitality. A great place.

This campground is well run, clean, and in a naturally attractive area. There is also a very nice, well maintained dog run area.Since we arrived late, we received a phone call instructing us where our registration information would be. The only negative at this campground is the noise from interstate 80 traffic, which borders the property.

Everything was clean, service was good but road noise (I-80) was too much. If the rain didn't help drown it, it would have been impossible to sleep.

great campground the staff goes above & beyond to make sure your stay is relaxing & comforable to the free pancake breakfast on saturday to the out door swimming pool always clean & relaxing to the shower house & laundry room always clean to the pond witch i personity fished a few times & caught fish too i want to put out special tyu to jeff & moises & racheal for making my stay at newton koa tyu

It is a very nice KOA Campground. We stayed 2 times there going to South Dakota and coming back. Very clean and pretty.

They told us after we booked about the high water pressure. We had a regulator but hadn’t used it in so long it was cracked and we couldn’t use the water. Sad for KOA quality. No loaner offered.

Nice place to stop for the night, level pull through sites high water pressure of which they tell you up front so be sure to use your pressure regulator. Very nice.

The campground is tired. My 50 AMP service was not working, had to use 30. The site was not level, if I cant level my coach I cant put the slides out. The location was average at best.

Great Journey campground with lots of space for big rigs. Alta House is a beautiful wedding venue. We went to Thirsty Thursday and listened to some very gifted musicians young and older! They featured appetizers and open bar. We had a great time. Would definitely stop again.

Best KOA I have stayed at. The staff incredibly friendly especially the front desk gentleman and his wife. The spaces are good, very family friendly. Clean bathrooms and showers. If you are looking for family friendly spot this is it

Nice campground only spent one night we were on our journey back home, little further out than I expected no big deal. Very close to the interstate so it was quite noisy. They have very high water pressure so make sure you have a regulator. Women's restrooms and showers were out of order
