Enjoyed our stay. Campground close to I-40 and downtown Newport. One hour drive to Gatlinburg,Tn. Didn't like road into the campground - very narrow. Gravel road up hill from entrance makes it necessary to use 4 wheel drive. Remodelling main building and fixing a bridge over a creek. Staff very nice.

Seamed like the hosts were more focused on keeping there sights mowed and updated the sight we stayed in actually had the top of the meter broke off so very unsafe and there were more people living there than there was people on nightly stays

Our site was a gravel pull through that was almost level but not far off. We didn’t even unhitch as we were passing through. This is an old campground that seems to be coming back to life. There was evidence of lots of work being slowly done to fix it back up. The setting was really nice and shady. I hope the owners bring it back to life in a way that shines.

We loved having the golf cart take us to our camping site. Our pull through site let us leave our Jeep hooked up. This was nice as we were only staying 1 night on our way to GA.

Faculty was nice. Arrived to find a pile of dog poop and a pile of dog food in our site. Otherwise pleasant stay. Pool was nice as well as the bathhouse/showers.

Really unhappy with my stay here. When checking in they should have done a better job of reviewing the property and honesty of projects that week. I ended up leaving two days early after my site was completely surrounded by a tree removal team and constant chainsaw noise on a Sunday. There was zero communication. Empty campground and they put me right next to the temp bathrooms. Very disappointed

Disappointing that there were not handicap bathrooms open. The ones with out stairs closed at 11pm. No handicapped rails in bathrooms without stairs. Those bathrooms were moderately clean. No coffee or breakfast offered like most Koas. Staff nice. Pull thru good.

everything was good until new management took over . everyone had to remove their canopies small outsid dog enclosures and they raised the rent 1 hundred dollars a month the bridge was was a hazard getting in and out I will not recommend anyone to stay there

As we are sure you saw on your way out of the property we are expanding the bridge to make it easier for all guest to access the property. We are also making huge upgrades to the property and our guests will certainly see the value in the changes we are making and hopefully want to stay longer.

As others have said, it was a bit run down, they had portable showers and the office closed around 6:00 before we arrived. My biggest issue was that they were only two working restrooms and they lock those from 11pm - 8am so if you need a restroom before 8am you are SOL - literally. Fortunately, we were in an RV so there was an option. I don’t know what the tent campers do. Go in the woods?

As you mention we have portable restrooms on site while we renovate our main bathrooms. We close our secondary restrooms from 11pm to 8pm due to issues we have had in the past. We still have restrooms available for all guests at all hours.

Le terrain était inégal, lors de la vidange, les égouts étaient bloqués sur notre terrain. Tout a remonté! Nous avons essayé de nous vidanger à la station, il n’y avait pas d’eau…. Beaucoup de temps perdu pour une seule nuit. Nous avons payé pour trois services …. J’aimerais que le montant soit ajusté en fonction des services utilisés soit eau et électricité. Merci de votre

Most of the restrooms/showers were out of service. 2 working toilets for the whole campground. Most sites looked like semi-permanent residents.

The add said they had cable tv but they didn't. The smell was bad. There were trucks emptying dumpsters with backup alerts going off and loud banging at 3 in the morning.

Site was all gravel, no fire ring and the wifi kept cutting out.

The campground is older but recently acquired by new management. They are working on making a lot of improvements. The stay was fine and we had no problems. It's situated off the interstate so convenient for a place to stop for the night or spend a few days as it's not far from many Smoky Mountain attractions. It was clean and everyone was friendly.

When we arrived, we were informed that the bathroom and shower facilities connected to the main building were out of service. The campground brought in a portable shower pod to cover that. The other bathroom/shower house had only 2 of 4 units in working order. While there, it appeared that management was working diligently on the plumbing issues. Good luck with the renovations.

Very low water pressure at site and in bathhouse, no cable tv as stated on web site and on campground map, very slow internet,

We have resolved the water pressure issues to our sites. Unfortunately, we had. Pretty large underground leak. Our website does not state that we have cable simply because it is not an amenity we offer. Our next project will be to upgrade to fiber internet for our wifi. That is coming very soon!

This is the most over priced koa I've ever stayed at. The bathrooms were dirty, showers were peeling with mold. Not to mention the whole camp ground smelled like sewer .

Checked in late left early. Lots very unleve, gravel. We paid less in Florida Keys for concrete pad and patio. Bath house needed attention while a person was pulling weeds from flower bed. Pool looked nice, we did not use.

sites are not level, water hookup over 25 ft., been camping all over the us and Canada for over 40 years and this have to be rates the worse, might by pass on koa sites from now on.

Sites were level on gravel. Water pressure good. Bathrooms were ok. They need some updating Host was wonderful and Other workers were very friendly. Laundry facilities were nice.

Our site was littered with cigarette butts, No sewer cap on the dump pipe, pool was dirty and in badly needed repair. Office closed at 6pm . So if you wanted wood or ice . Pool also closed early so after they finely did clean the pool you had a short window if you wanted to go after dinner.

We have stayed here a handful of times, but this year trees were overgrown into sites, the gravel pads were not well maintained.

Park employees were super friendly and helpful. We asked to have a couple of tree branches cut that would have Scratched our rig when leaving and they got right on it. One suggestion is they check trees in the park at least once a month and make sure they are cut back so they are high enough and wide enough to accommodate 5th wheels and motor homes.

The site was clean. We arrived late and picked up our site packet, but the packet didn't include info on accessing wi-fi. The Men's bathroom shower stall was in poor condition. Specifically, the tile on the floor is breaking away and is a hazard to anyone not wearing sandals.

I’d heard good reports of KOAs—never have stayed at one—and was very happy to make a last-minute reservation while traveling from Texas to North Carolina. The receptionist could not have been nicer. However, the site was way overpriced compared to everywhere else I stayed. That I had electricity was great; the park itself did not meet expectations. I’ll stick with state parks from now on.

Bathrooms are very clean and updated! We stayed memorial day and the park was very quiet despite being pretty full. Laundry facilities also clean and high tech. Staff communication was great. It was very clean and safe feeling despite my worries driving in.

Service was exceptional and friendly. Campground location was easy in and out from main highways. Campsites were grass with level gravel parking, pull through for convenience. Beautiful green oasis to relax in peaceful surroundings.
