Just spent the night going back and forth through Tennessee. Everything was great other than there was no hot water in the cabin.

It’s difficult to give a definitive rating due to the fact that the office was in a temporary building while construction of a new office/bathhouse was underway. There was no internet service which was disappointing. The campground manager was very helpful and generous. We were allowed to choose our own campsite and were given an extra bundle of firewood. Thanks!

Nice area, peaceful/quiet. A lot of renovations that limit services. Slow wifi. Should offer discount until campground up and running fully.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We were there serving food for disaster victims and John and Sherri Camp and Willis could not have been any nicer.

It was cut short due to flooding but it was a very enjoyable while we were there. The people were very helpful and outgoing. It fit to all the places we wanted to see yet away from the crowds to relax. Thanks

Nice campground, I understand the main lodge is under renovation, and I'm pretty sure the facilities for bathroom and shower in there are going to be much nicer than the current ones. It was clean, but a long walk from my tent site, and there were no mirrors to get ready, which surprised me . Otherwise, you have awesome staff and a very nice and safe property! Loved the tentsite!

Excellent stay. One minor issue, one call to the office and they were all over it with immediate results.

The site numbers should be more visible, I went in a couple of circles to find 16. The was some highway noise in the distance, but it dissipated after 11pm and didn't affect sleep. Otherwise, the camp ground was nice and the staff was helpful, especially when they called me to tell me the office would be closing before I got there and where to find my site information.

Very nice campground, very close to major Highway, but slept good. In the morning my son n law went out side to set and enjoy his coffee and was greeted by cows wondering around the motorhome�. We raise Buffalo so cows are a gentler bread to have around in the morning, up close. All in all it was fun!!!!

Park under renovation and I would only use it as a stopover until full facilities exist. I understand money is being spent to improve the park but for now, I would pass on staying here.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They are doing a lot of remodeling. 2 of the 4 restrooms & showers were closed. The laundry was closed, and the office, they are using a temp office. Dump station is out of order. Cows wonder thru the campground every morning and leave cow patties throughout their path. Perhaps a note on the website about the remodel would be helpful.

Perfect wooded spot with lots of shade. All services perfect in full service pull through the spot. Friendly, service focused team. Renovations in progress had NO IMPACT on a great stay - will just be getting better when they’re done. We’re coming back on next trip through the area.

It was nice and peaceful we always get together for my birthday and my brother in laws. We like to sit around the fire and catch up and good eating.

Poorly marked sites. Temporary office site was marked but but maps with assigned spots for latecomers were on the old office door took us much searching to find it no one returned our phone call asking. Access to utilities was good. Seemed like there were people living there. Not camping. Clean for most part

It was horrible, never again. Problem with the portal shower, only 2 working showers total, no laundry, not even a notice on website or in a email that renovations are happening or soon to be. Had to wait 45 minutes for check in, no note no return phone call they were out to lunch until 1300. Sites were uneven, kids were swimming when thunderstorms were in the area. Just a complete disaster

I would recommend for overnight stays and possibly temporary but nothing long term. New management made cosmetic changes but nothing to improve the laundry facilities or pool. The list of rules they have in place are a bit much for people staying long term. It was very micromanaged and a lot of people moved out due to this. Also, the office ran my debit card without permission.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are currently remodeling the entire main office building including restrooms and laundry! We are sorry you felt our rules were too strict we do this to prevent our campground from becoming a trailer park. We are striving to be a place that our guest want to come for both long and short stays.

New campground owners, so camp beginning overhaul, but… Half bath cabin only has cold water line, so questionable handwashing and no dishwashing in cabin. Poison ivy by front and sides of cabin; would have been an issue if I had little kids here. Mosquitoes were very bad until I applied my from-homefix to the grass. Main bathrooms and office were shut down for renovations; trailer bathrooms okay

First I really wanted to go swimming and the pool was being cleaned �� so no swimming. The toilets were out of order? Had portables. And lots of bugs bugging me need less to say I had a less then good time. Had to stay in my camper. It was a beautiful location. Really shouldn't charged so much when your Facilities aren't up to par. Or in form that you are under construction so I could stay el

Enjoyed our stay. Campground close to I-40 and downtown Newport. One hour drive to Gatlinburg,Tn. Didn't like road into the campground - very narrow. Gravel road up hill from entrance makes it necessary to use 4 wheel drive. Remodelling main building and fixing a bridge over a creek. Staff very nice.

Bathrooms are very clean and updated! We stayed memorial day and the park was very quiet despite being pretty full. Laundry facilities also clean and high tech. Staff communication was great. It was very clean and safe feeling despite my worries driving in.

Service was exceptional and friendly. Campground location was easy in and out from main highways. Campsites were grass with level gravel parking, pull through for convenience. Beautiful green oasis to relax in peaceful surroundings.
