Stayed at Newport KOA when my daughter two visit and tour UT Campus. Very nice camp brown. Accommodating bathrooms and the host was a pleasure to talk to would definitely stay there again

Very good space to park and stay at overnight for the price. Only gotchas for me were the location far up the hill and no reflectors or even solar powered ground lights would’ve helped us find our way there at night in the dark. Also, we could not drop off garbage on our way out. The dumpsters were far down a roadway with no room to turn around.

Great KOA Journey! 5 minutes off I-40, 45 minutes to Pigeon Forge/Smokies/Gatlinburg. Nice level sites and well taken care of grounds, Willis the manager and his staff were very friendly. All new laundry and camp office with dog park.

Clean and fairly quiet for a convenient stay. Only noise was from the interstate and the trees done a fine job of hushing that. The staff are great and friendly.

Facilities were excellent. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only complaint is the entry from the highway has a large dip at the curb and your hitch will scrape .

Our trip ran into mechanical problems and we were stuck in Charlotte 4 days. Newport was mid point to our next destination. Katy helped make a late reservation and got us all set up. We had coffee with her the next morning. They really helped get our vacation back on track. We made the best of a bad situation and the Newport staff were a game changer. Thank you.

perfect location for us to visit gt smoky mountains np. away from the busy areas. close to Bush Bean museum! and Kelley's Quilt Shop. Hosts were the best. Katie and Willis. spelling could be wrong! Park is in very good repair. we were in a 28' class C, towing a small car/tow dolly. site was level, our rig doesn't have levelers, so that was great.

Cleanest KOA bathrooms I’ve been to!! Roomy and super clean showers. Great dog park too - lots of grass.

Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of shade. Nice to have sun on the ends of the rv instead of broadside. Good water pressure. Some sites are not very level. Difficult connection for sewer hose.

I called to ensure that there was a site available to fit my coach, 40 foot and 20 foot trailer. Was told there were 70 foot sites available. While not incorrect, getting into and out of the site was extremely difficult. Narrow roads and trees with low hanging branches. Additionally one person was parked very close or into the road. Site was also very unlevel. Won’t be back to this location.

We stopped just for an overnight. Appreciated the pull through site.. It was obvious that the office in restrooms and shower room at the office. We’re all nearly remodeled and secure with key codes that only gas could use. They do have Wi-Fi though I would not want to rely on it. It was weak, but that is a struggle everyone has. Overall I give this high marks as campgrounds go.

Can not receive any air tv channels. Not even FM radio. How about installing cable?

We're sorry that you were not able to get any channels over the air. We do offer WiFi to our guests at no charge in place of cable.

Great hidden gem! Close to just about everything. 30+ mins to all the areas the Smokies have to offer. Friendly staff and roomy! Nice new bathhouse with wallet and cellphone holders! Only issue is the turn off the highway has a decent dip with scrape marks, but that's DOT not KOA! Definitely recommend this place for your camping getaway to the Smokies!

We had a wonderful time at this KOA! It's what a campground should be. It's beautifully located in the trees. It's very well maintained. The bathrooms and showers are even beautiful. We are definitely stopping in on our way home.

Our spot was right by the entrance so we had In-and out traffic all day long. Super loud road traffic as well.

The cabin is Too close to the interstate so the traffic was too loud and kept us awake. Maybe if you planted more trees on that side of the campground it would muffle the noise.

We are directly off of I40 and highway noise can be an issue for some. We do all we can to mitigate the noise for our guests. We do have some cabins on the other side of the campground that may suit you better if you decide to give us another chance. We hope to see you again soon.

Just needed a nice, safe, quiet place to stay overnight . KOA provided all of those requirements. Super nice lady made the reservation, checked me in, and provided all the info I needed for a easy stay.

Cons: gravel site was mostly grass that hadn't been mown in some time; Water connection was just inches above the ground making it difficult to make connection (I pulled away grass/weeds to comfortably get to it); place seemed run down. Pros: Nice greeting when we arrived; bathroom and showers are very new.

We stopped in for one night to rest on our drive towards Nashville. Campground was very well maintained, easy site to pull in to, and very accommodating right off the interstate for a layover night. We reserved online and within the hour someone was calling to explain the after hours procedure which was so helpful.

Nice clean rustic cabin. Very friendly staff, and very clean and up to date full bathrooms. Plenty of hot water although the water pressure was a little lacking in the showers. Although the campground is behind a questionable neighborhood, and next to I-40, it was a quiet. I would recommend this campground and would stay here again the next time I am camping in this area. We did notice the following issues with the cabin. 1. The door hinges were a little loose causing the doors to scrape the floor. 2. The half bathroom could use a little work. The wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom did not go all the way to the ceiling. There wasn't a light in the bathroom and it really needs a vent fan. 3. The picnic table had mushrooms growing out of it. We saw the conditions of the table and used the back of my truck to cook our meals
