We enjoyed relaxing on the beach while the kids where bouncing and playing on the play ground. The sites are very well kept and people where friendly.

Campground and facilities were beautiful and looked great but the customer service needs some improvement. Really didn’t feel as welcome or as appreciated as we have at most other KOA’s that we have stayed at. That was really the only major complaint and the reason for the three star rating.

We had a nice time. Our first camp site wasn’t the best because it was next to the parking lot. But they moved us when a better site became available. We would recommend this camp ground.

Campground itself was not bad but sites are really close together. Fire ring is on top of neighbor. Manager of park was unpleasant in person and over the phone. Several of the facilities were unavailable once we arrived without notice online, on phone or any notification on doors of those facilities. For $55 a night definitely not the ideal place to stay.

Large trees giving nice shade Especially during the days it was in the 90’s. Small well maintained campground. Has a man- made lake with a small area of sandy beach. Nice area to swim on the hot days. Enjoyed walking my dog along the wooded paths. Nice owner.

We enjoyed this KOA. The lake and walking trails are great, also nice for riding bikes. I had read some reviews about the water being smelly, but we did not notice any smell at all. We will book again!

Kids enjoyed the stay. No floating water slide, game room locked, bathrooms need repair and could not use own kayaks. The biggest issue was a 220v distribution box reported left open. Response was it open because of the heat. Very dangerous going to get a child killed. Manager nice but quirkie

Very peaceful and pleasant Most of the staff was friendly and the sites were spacious and very clean. The prices to rent the equipment such as paddle boats, bikes for kids and kayaks were extremely reasonable. We will return.

We have been coming to Muskegon for 7 years now! We love staying at the cabin right on the lake. There is so much to do! The kids stay busy with swimming, fishing, biking, playing at the playground, renting the boats etc... It’s a nice peaceful getaway!

This is our family’s favorite campground. So many activities for the kids to do, it’s great! Owners work to bring in our create special family friendly events on the weekends too. Special considerations for Covid were not out of line. Every year we’ve witnessed improvements to the campground. Reinvestment into their property is evident and appreciated!

While the lake was clean and the kids had fun, the bathrooms were beyond disgusting. In a time that they should be cleaned more, they often appeared to have not been touched at all. Toilets were often unusable and we chose to only shower once during our stay because of how gross the shower stalls were. Hair in the bottom and the curtains looked like they were stained with mildew.

We had a wonderful experience at the Muskegon KOA. The camp grounds are very clean with lots for the kids to do, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the fishing was superb! This might the best KOA we have stayed at yet, we would highly recommend this location, it’s minutes from the dunes, downtown Muskegon and from the meijer/Walmart. Can’t beat it!

Men’s bathrooms were horrible. Two of the toilets were left clogged and unclean all week. One of the two shelters was also out of order. The old man that ran the place told us we were forbidden. To use the bathrooms because we had a camper. We had an issue with our camper toilet, so we didn’t have a choice. He also called my son and his friend “the little germ boys” every time he saw them

Please clean up the trash along the walk way, please also clean up the beach. The same Juice bottle sat there for three days.

We stayed at KOA before maybe 3 years ago......was very nice....this time our experience was a little different.....park needs serious maintenance and upkeep if you want people to come back and the manager or whoever Steve is needs to be replaced ASAP

Beautiful setting. Good amenities. Unfortunately the music on Fr. night & the drinking man “sorta-sorta not” doing karaoke was so loud we couldn’t have a convo. We were having a nice time. I hate to say it, but it was kind of rude the way he addressed me like I must be a military dependent bc I’m a female, when the lady asked for my military id and he said “you need to be in the military

I enjoyed the campground but the bathrooms were awful. Most toilets plugged. Looked like it only got clean once a day. Soap dispenser empty. Paper towel dispenser with roll sitting sideways in it.

Our first stay was nice all around. Sites were full and it never felt crowded. Smaller campground, but plenty of things to keep our kids entertained. We enjoyed walking the trail around the lake, playing at the playground and swimming. The water/beach was very clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everything was well maintained and clean.. Thank You KOA! We will be back �

We enjoyed our stay. The only criticism is that the restrooms were not in very good condition. Only one of the two showers was working and they needed to be cleaned more than once a day.

The small park was great, we were given a great location, amazing neighbors, it was nearly perfect. However the restrooms were the worse I have experienced even prior to the virus. I am a 7:00 riser and went to the bath room to find every stall with poop in it and one of 2 showers not working. I will not be back, I found it astounding that during these times more attention was not given to these.

It is a nice location and the lake is great for swimming. It seems who ever owns this location doesn't want to put money into the grounds. The Sandy Beach area is full of weeds and some of the lots needed mowing. The camp sites have very little grass, so the dirt areas are very dusty. Nice one night stay, but we stayed for 6 nights. The price per night is too high for this campground.

Terrible customer service, rude comments, and very nasty bathrooms ( not clean ). We booked a cabin for my wife and newborn with the air conditioner and heat. Well come to find out the air conditioner is from 1800 and can't cool a 5x5 cabin under 85 degrees. So we complained and wasn't taken care of so we packed up and left early. Will never go back and will tell everyone to never go there.

Owner was open about trying to sell the place with me. He didn’t realize that we left our stay 3 nights early because of the poor customer service and ridiculous rules. With all the rules he has, I’m surprised we were allowed to bring our own tent to the campground. The pictures are MUCH nicer than the actual place.

I'm so impressed with the management here. They checked daily to make sure everyone had a parking pass and allowed one vehicle per site which really helped keep traffic down with kids playing. The extra parking for the extra vehicle wasn't far from the camping sites. Everyone here was very nice and they kept everyone following the rules so everyone was able to have a nice time. We will definitely be back.
