What a great koa for tent camping. Sometimes I feel like tent sites are an afterthought. Their sites are well done. And far away from the highway and noise. Immediately upon turning in our only regret was that we weren’t there for longer! The best campground we stayed at on our 12 day trip!

Stayed on a tent site that was HUGE and had it's own lantern lighting. Bathrooms and showers the next morning were spotless and we're always happy to see so many recycling bins for refuse. Would gladly stay again next exploration of LassenNP!

Great tent area. I had T6 and the only issue was the light from the trash area so next time it would cover my tent with blackout cover. I think there are dogs very near the KOA property that barked quite a bit at night. Made my dog a bit nervous.

Bathrooms were clean. The site was quiet. No worries about bears and animals stealing food. It was very cold in the night and we had run out of wood. I reached out to the night manager who got us more wood in the middle of the night and saved the night.

Great place to stay w a family! Lots to do for kids, nice bathrooms and shower, 24 hour laundry and the outdoor kitchen for washing dishes was life saver!

Even when it rains at Lassen National Park the KOA Lassen is sunny and nice, and that is why we ended up at this KOA this year. But I found out that I loved the clean, hot showers, the pool and the tent-friendly sites. We come this way often and it is highly likely that we will stay at the KOA Lassen again.

It was super clean and well taken care of. We started our stay on a weekday and the KOA was almost empty. We had the place to ourself. We stayed through a Friday evening and the movie night and Saturday pancakes were both fun. Our kids loved it and found lots of new friends.

I had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back. The campground is beautiful, clean and full of amenities. My tent site was large, flat and easily accessible. The tent sites are definitely not an afterthought. I highly recommend this facility and live that it's less than 15 minutes from the park entrance. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff for a great vacation!!

Absolutely wonderful stay at KOA Shingletown. Very close to the NP, which was our primary reason for picking this spot. The grounds were inviting, clean, and organized. So many things to keep kids busy. Showers were clean and hot. Fun special acrivities most days of the week and staff was both friendly and helpful. Wish all KOAs were just like this!

Amazing campground close to a lot of must see places and it’s kids and pet friendly which is a plus and the bathrooms were always clean!!! The staff were super sweet and helpful. We will definitely be back again!

We had a 4 nights of safe and worthwhile stay in your campground. The proximity of this to Lassen Is an edge for acampground. My Family had a wonderful stay at the Mt. Lassen KOA. We enjoyed the property and all it's amenities. The swimming pool and the giant swings were definitely among the highlights! Next time we'll bring our RC cars to race on the RC track. Big thank you to the Mt.Lassen/Shingletown KOA staff for keeping the campus so clean and inviting year after year!

The worker needed to have a clue about the National Park, but could not give me any information. Also the bathrooms were not close to tent site, so the middle of the night bathroom trip sucked

It was very good once I actually located the campground. I checked in after hours follow the very detailed steps to check in after hours. The only2 issues were there were a few dogs barking all night. I also felt it odd that they were only open from 9 to 5. Tl

This KOA may be small, but it’s full of charm and super well-equipped. You can see the owner’s care in every detail — animal-shaped fences, a bird water feeder, and magical firefly-like lights at night. We enjoyed the free Saturday pancake breakfast too! Great location near Burney Falls, Lassen Volcanic NP, and Redding. Highly recommended!

We stayed in a tent in T10. It was great to have the "back 40" for the 5 kids to run and ride their bikes. A lot of things for the kids to do, pool, playground, basketball, volleyball court, and swings. Would diffently stat again. Oh, the staff were awesome!

Shingletown KOA Check-in/office and grounds staff are very Welcoming and Helpful, especially Patti whom qe had spoken to over the phone prior to arrival. The campgrounds were great! Bathrooms were clean and the site was well maintained. We loved the pool and the trails in the back with the volleyball court and tether ball court. Great family atmosphere and was the perfect weekend of relaxation.

I have never rated anything a 10 out of a 10, but this was the best camping experience ever! The staff was cordial and very accommodating. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The tent site was very spacious. We have stayed at 3 different KOAs on this one trip and this one was the best by far. Thank you to the staff for making our short stay a relaxing one!

As a tent camper I felt scared the first night because I was woken during the night by animals who pulled trash cans out from a holder across from my tent. Next day I found out that this is a common!! occurrence from a neighbors dogs. Same the next night. Sleepless! Should have had locking garbage cans anyways in bear country. Friendly maintenance staff picking up the scattered trash

Unfortunately, we were evacuated the second day into our 3 night stay due to fire danger. However, we were thrilled with the ability to contact a live person when making our reservations earlier in the year and the staff was welcoming and very friendly upon arrival! the restrooms were clean and immaculately kept that way!! We hope we can come back again next year!!

Our stay here was wonderful. Spacious and well shaded tent site. The bathrooms were clean and well cared for. Staff were friendly and helpful beyond what is expected. Much to do here. Proximity to Lassen is good.

One of the nicest KOA campgrounds I have stayed at. Very well kept up with a myriad of activities geared towards families and large groups. It is situated in a beautiful forest of conifers. The parking spots are gravel and mine was level. The hookup worked fine. I used the bath, laundry facilities, and pool - all very nice. It's a short drive to the Lassen Volcanic National Park entrance. Highly recommended for a visit to this beautiful park.

This is one of the nicest KOA's that I have been to. A group of 13 of us were spread across three campsites and a cabin. It worked out wonderfully for all of our needs. We had mainly teens with us and the campground kept them busy when we weren't exploring Lassen National Park. They swam in the heated pool, played basketball and tetherball, and ventured around the back area behind our tents to play on the swings. At night, we went on the flashlight walk looking for the glow in the dark eyes in the trees. If you are tent camping with a group, I highly recommend booking Tent Site 9 and 10 because they are huge and allow room to roam. This KOA is also a few miles from Lassen National Park and also a short drive to Shingletown if you need something. This was a very convenient location for us! There is a wonderful man who was very helpful to all of us during our time there. I wish I caught his name but he even brought us some Sis-Q-Logs so we can have a campfire. The cons are small - the bathrooms and showers are quite a trek from the tent sites. I got lost at night and ended up in someone else's camping spot and had to walk around to find it. There is one dishwashing station but this is also at the front of the KOA so it's a trek. We cooked every meal for 13 people for four days and nights so we all had to walk our dishes up front to wash. Not a big deal but we wish we would have brought our own dishwashing station. Heads up, there is no real wood allowed to be burned here. You must purchase Sis-Q-Logs from their KOA store. It was fine with us, it smells and looks like real campfire and we think it even burned longer so that was a plus. Also, there is no ban on electric bikes or dirt bikes here so there were a few kids in the campground zipping around and kicking up dirt everywhere. Not terrible but kind of annoying when we were cooking. Outside of these small things, this is one of the best KOA's I've been to and stayed at. We loved it!

Lots of family activities and things to do. Great access to Lassen National Park. Facilities and customer service were great. Enjoyed our pancake breakfast as well. Thanks for a great stay.
