The staff were all friendly. The restrooms were clean, had hot water, had working soap dispensers, & were well lit. The sites were very nice (T12), and the privacy fences at each site added a nice touch. The walking paths in the back of the camp were nice, and we enjoyed the bird watching area and tetherball. All in all an A+ campground. Oh, can’t forget that amazing free gourmet coffee!

We have been traveling for 3 weeks and this is by far the best campground we’ve been to! The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The laundry room was nice. The campsites were lovely. One of the best campgrounds I’ve ever been to and I’ve been camping for 57 years!!

Second time here Loved our stay. I wish the workers were all on the same page. I was told no deposit which there was for holding the site. Then i paid for all in advance when i got there the young lady didn’t understand said i owed a balance and said she charged my card, which she didn’t. A man came by rudely telling us we needed to pack nit realizing we added a night-communication is key!!!!!

Great location but our neighbors on both sides did not respect quiet hours. When I tried to call the night manager the number was wrong. It turns out the correct number was on the office at the other end of camp which I had no way of knowing in the middle of the night.

Beautiful campground. Very clean restrooms and showers (plenty of hot water!). The staff is super nice. We enjoyed talking to Patty and Doug.. Great little store with everything you could ever need. And their coffee machine is fantastic! If we ever come this way again, we will definitely stay there again!

Had a great stay here! Was able to get a walk in rate for <$30 dollars for a tent campsite. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms/showers are private and clean. Would recommend this KOA!

The experience of camping includes campfires. We were very disappointed that wood fires were not allowed, unless of course we paid for your small amount of wood that was priced too high.

We contacted the night manager to have another campsite turn off their outside music during quiet hours (a clearly-stated campground rule). He was very defensive/argumentative and ultimately the music was turned down, but not off. This combined with the $56/night charge for a tent site means we will likely not be staying at KOAs in the future. See my 1-star google review (9/3/23) for more details.

We had a very pleasant stay. The only thing my original reservation was cancelled because I came a day late and the staff had to prevent together something. I didn't like having to move campsites.

We did a tent camping weekend and absolutely had a wonderful time. The employees were friendly and helpful. The public areas were clean and enjoyable. The pancake breakfast was delicious. Between swimming and pong and our campsite it was the best 1st time camping experience for my granddaughters.

You guys have a great and helpful staff. They were extremely polite, accommodating to my every request and kept me welcome with their warm personalities. Coming from the Bay Area to travel to your location was well worth the 4hr trip. Your staff takes great pride in keeping up with the grounds and it shows! Thank you for having me and enjoyed every minute.

Very clean and great staff! I have stayed at many KOA facilities over the years and the Shingletown KOA has always been my favorite. I will continue to visit the Shingletown KOA for many years to come.

The facility was great very clean and the campgrounds were wonderful the only problem we had was where it's located and the neighboring dogs in the middle of the night barking all night keeping you awake there is a fence line along the KOA and there are dogs that bark all threw the night the woke us up at 1:00am and was right next to are tent scared us we had to drive 10 hr next day not good

One of the nicest KOA campgrounds I have stayed at. Very well kept up with a myriad of activities geared towards families and large groups. It is situated in a beautiful forest of conifers. The parking spots are gravel and mine was level. The hookup worked fine. I used the bath, laundry facilities, and pool - all very nice. It's a short drive to the Lassen Volcanic National Park entrance. Highly recommended for a visit to this beautiful park.

This is one of the nicest KOA's that I have been to. A group of 13 of us were spread across three campsites and a cabin. It worked out wonderfully for all of our needs. We had mainly teens with us and the campground kept them busy when we weren't exploring Lassen National Park. They swam in the heated pool, played basketball and tetherball, and ventured around the back area behind our tents to play on the swings. At night, we went on the flashlight walk looking for the glow in the dark eyes in the trees. If you are tent camping with a group, I highly recommend booking Tent Site 9 and 10 because they are huge and allow room to roam. This KOA is also a few miles from Lassen National Park and also a short drive to Shingletown if you need something. This was a very convenient location for us! There is a wonderful man who was very helpful to all of us during our time there. I wish I caught his name but he even brought us some Sis-Q-Logs so we can have a campfire. The cons are small - the bathrooms and showers are quite a trek from the tent sites. I got lost at night and ended up in someone else's camping spot and had to walk around to find it. There is one dishwashing station but this is also at the front of the KOA so it's a trek. We cooked every meal for 13 people for four days and nights so we all had to walk our dishes up front to wash. Not a big deal but we wish we would have brought our own dishwashing station. Heads up, there is no real wood allowed to be burned here. You must purchase Sis-Q-Logs from their KOA store. It was fine with us, it smells and looks like real campfire and we think it even burned longer so that was a plus. Also, there is no ban on electric bikes or dirt bikes here so there were a few kids in the campground zipping around and kicking up dirt everywhere. Not terrible but kind of annoying when we were cooking. Outside of these small things, this is one of the best KOA's I've been to and stayed at. We loved it!

Lots of family activities and things to do. Great access to Lassen National Park. Facilities and customer service were great. Enjoyed our pancake breakfast as well. Thanks for a great stay.
