We look forward to staying at the Shingletown/Mt. Lassen KOA every year. It is beautiful, tree filled, and just fun. The camp hosts are the best.

The staff is awesome and the campground is kept up very nicely and a very pretty campgroung with shade trees. Our only thing was both times (twice in 2 yrs) we have been there the site hasn't been level. The campground is under new ownership so that may be something they plan on addressing.

Very nice facility… good Wi-Fi, nice, clean, laundry room, (except the dryer vents), very friendly staff. Have we not had to move due to electricity problems, I would rated it five stars.

Site 23 was a little small for a 24ft and towing but the campground was well maintained with lots of trees

There were too many people allowing their dogs to defecate on the grass while movie night was happening and kids playing on the grass and someone let their dog defecate in our RV site on our kayaks and gravel. We shouldn't have to clean up after a dog we didn't have. And spot 23 is not made for a 28ft trailer and truck. The bushes scratched my in laws truck the spot was too small for any RV.

This park is the best we’ve stayed in ever. We love it. We are a retired couple, no kids, and appreciate the rules that keep exuberant kids under check. Too many vacations ruined by kids on bikes and scooters kicking up dust, riding through sites and yelling. There were a couple of unavoidable nuisances - a toddler crying loudly quite late in the evening, and a dog on adjoining property barking.

We love the campground. There is a variety of options, clean amenities, our son loves all of the activities offered, and our dogs love the dog park and trails.

Beautiful as always!

The staff needs to be more knowledgeable we were originally put in a site too small for a 41 1/2 foot motorhome with tow car plus it was a handicap site we ended up scraping a tree and damaging our brand new awning and then moving to a much more suitable site. Also, the information we received from the check-in office staff of the area was incorrect. The campground in itself was nice.

Lots of fun and relaxation. Our 11 yr old grandson thrives when he is there. Basketball and swimming pool...not much else he needed. The Kamp is pristinely clean, quiet, cooled by lots of shade trees, overall a fantastic place to camp and enjoy nature.

Really enjoyed our three nights here. The dog park was a life saver since we were traveling with a young, hyper golden retriever. They have a number of other cool extras: pool, basketball court, corn hole, trails, a giant swing in the woods. Will definitely stay here again when in the Lassen region.

Doug was so nice and personable letting my husband know the history of Koa shingletown. Brook in the office was so kind to make my sons day with the special "rock". Thank you for making our first trip camping the best ever!

The campground was located near Lassen National Park entrance making it a great location to stay. The campground was easy to navigate with large spaces and easy pull in sites. The sites were clean as were the washrooms and laundry. The staff was friendly and helpful. The general store had everything a camper might need and then some. I would definitely stay again.

We adore this KOA! just a few miles from Lassen, with spacious sites, full of mature trees and plenty of shade, great open spaces for walking, biking and relaxation New management has taken it up a notch, with longer store hours, fast and reliable WiFi plus fun family activities like movie night, ice cream social and pancake breakfast. Hands down, one of the best campgrounds we've experienced!

One of the nicest KOA campgrounds I have stayed at. Very well kept up with a myriad of activities geared towards families and large groups. It is situated in a beautiful forest of conifers. The parking spots are gravel and mine was level. The hookup worked fine. I used the bath, laundry facilities, and pool - all very nice. It's a short drive to the Lassen Volcanic National Park entrance. Highly recommended for a visit to this beautiful park.

This is one of the nicest KOA's that I have been to. A group of 13 of us were spread across three campsites and a cabin. It worked out wonderfully for all of our needs. We had mainly teens with us and the campground kept them busy when we weren't exploring Lassen National Park. They swam in the heated pool, played basketball and tetherball, and ventured around the back area behind our tents to play on the swings. At night, we went on the flashlight walk looking for the glow in the dark eyes in the trees. If you are tent camping with a group, I highly recommend booking Tent Site 9 and 10 because they are huge and allow room to roam. This KOA is also a few miles from Lassen National Park and also a short drive to Shingletown if you need something. This was a very convenient location for us! There is a wonderful man who was very helpful to all of us during our time there. I wish I caught his name but he even brought us some Sis-Q-Logs so we can have a campfire. The cons are small - the bathrooms and showers are quite a trek from the tent sites. I got lost at night and ended up in someone else's camping spot and had to walk around to find it. There is one dishwashing station but this is also at the front of the KOA so it's a trek. We cooked every meal for 13 people for four days and nights so we all had to walk our dishes up front to wash. Not a big deal but we wish we would have brought our own dishwashing station. Heads up, there is no real wood allowed to be burned here. You must purchase Sis-Q-Logs from their KOA store. It was fine with us, it smells and looks like real campfire and we think it even burned longer so that was a plus. Also, there is no ban on electric bikes or dirt bikes here so there were a few kids in the campground zipping around and kicking up dirt everywhere. Not terrible but kind of annoying when we were cooking. Outside of these small things, this is one of the best KOA's I've been to and stayed at. We loved it!
