I stayed in one of the cabins. Very clean cabins with good accommodations. The Camp is nicely located between the larger city of Redding and Mt Lassen Park. Many lakes and streams for fishing Like Hat Creek at old station, Lake Baum, Burney falls creek(s), Shasta lake, Sacto river, and Whiskeytown lake. Lots of hiking either at Mount Lassen, the pacific crest trial or sundial bridge. Plenty to do.

Everyone was so incredibly friendly and accommodating there! My boyfriend and I had a great time in one of the cabins with our two pups! Will definitely be back anytime we’re in the area

Just want to say, I stayed In several koa in the past and by far this is one have exceeded my expectations. Their customers service is a top notch. Maintenance Mgr went far and beyond. We stayed at one of the cabin homes. He went ahead and started the fire place, so when we arrived the cabin would warm and ready to go. Greate touch of customers service. Recommend, yes 100 %.

This was a very disappointing experience. I booked a small back-in RV spot to use for my Tesla Model Y. When making the reservation I looked all over for any statements against car camping but found nothing. I put in 2 guests and an automobile in the drop down menu. When I arrived I was told I cannot camp in my car with no explanation other than it is their policy (not mentioned on the website).

The campsites and cabins are 1 of a kind and amazing.this places is the cleanest nicest place I've stayed everyone is friendly.there are lots of trails and fishing to be done. Rope swings and about 7 games to play with a playground for children.i love koa now and I hope you will to.loved mt.lassen volcano as well.i can't really get over how nice the campsites and cabins really are.

The large cabin with a fully equipped kitchen & internet was perfect for our girls getaway. We enjoyed peaceful evenings around the firepit and walks on the well-kept grounds filled with creativity & unique touches of carved art throughout. The various play areas are perfect for kids & pets alike. Easily accessed between Redding and Lassen National Park, We highly recommend it here. Great Stay!

Our large log house was wonderful with 3 bedrooms, it fitted our 3 couples perfectly. The 1900 square foot house was spacious with everything you need when you are away from home. People in the office were sweet and friendly, and the free coffee there was excellent with good quality. We planned to stay there for 2 nights, but we all felt so good that we extended for 1 more night.

We have stayed at this facility several times over the years, it is always, clean, well organized and with helpful and friendly staff. The new owners do have it together and we are looking forward to staying there again next fall.

My first time staying in a campground. Nice cabin in the woods, clean toilets, good wifi and friendly staff. Very close to Lassen and Lake Almanor. I would definitely recommend this place strongly.

I puposely stayed at KOA Shingletown to learn some new experience rather than choosing a hotel in Redding. The place is close to Lassen NP, and it has good facilities for exploring the area close to nature. The only setback is some difficulties to find restaurants but I understand that we should be bringing some stuff for own cooking, and that saves money.

As we arrived they were handing our snow comes to the kids and getting ready to show a movie on a lawn. My kids were thrilled and played with other kids while waging for the movie to start. Showers were clean and the ladies at the front desk were very friendly. We had already been camping so we rented a little cabin with bunkbeds. It was great and we would certainly visit again! Great place

Well located and well-equipped KOA. It's my second stay here. I'm a Tesla owner so having the charger on-site is fantastic but I would recommend implementing a system to reserve/share it. Also, I was told that the new owners do not allow charging from the RV hook-ups even though there is specific gear designed for this exact purpose which works safely. Please change this policy.

Was there with the LOA group and we all had a great time. Park is clean and has all the things that make it great. We love the various stump carvings from squirrels to eagle

We have been coming to the KOA for 10 years. We had such a terrible stay this time. Not due to anything that is in the control of KOA but two nights of not sleeping at all was extremely painful. A big german shepard barked non stop all night due to a baby in the campground crying all night long that echoed throughout the campground. Awful. We always love our KOA trips until this one. So sad.

We were in cabin L3. The bedroom never cooled off even with air-conditioning on. We were forced to sleep on the sofa bed and had to use additional linens. Then we were charged for that which I think is unfair. I doubt we will be coming back.

Great place, only downside was bees around the food was hard for the kids to negotiate. Staff was great and brought traps and bee spray to help. We were a large group of 5 families staying in different sites, loved that one family had the lodge with full kitchen and patio, made preparing food easier for big group. Very fun, close to lassen, pool and playground great for kids.

Thanks for an enjoyable overnight cabin stay (Apr. 2024) as we motorcycled through the area. Easy website reservation; staff prepped great for our after-hours arrival. Super clean facilities and grounds. Very good location. Thanks again.
