I was very disappointed with my stay. When I arrived early for my site, the young lady at the desk said I needed to pay $20 extra to check in early. Nobody was at site. Why? I found the internet to be very spotty . Also we had kids that were screaming and yelling until 1am. Nobody around to enforce rules. Charging $20 for dumping tanks?? I paid $90 for the site and expect a lot more more !

We love Shingletown KOA! We brought our granddaughters to stay for 5 days and they had so much fun and didn’t want to leave! Lots of activities for the kiddos. They were busy for the duration of our stay. The campground is beautifully maintained, bathrooms very clean! All of the staff are exceptionally accommodating and friendly! The little store/gift shop is well stocked.

We live locally and only make reservations when the grandkids come to visit so that we can use the pool. It would be really great if the campground had a “locals” day use pass to be able to do this. The former management was much more kind and would make it work for us due to the fact that we are KOA members.

Was a very nice campground, besides being there when there was a bible camp there. Would have been nice to be informed about it due to our beliefs.

An impressive campground. Everything is so clean and well maintained. Doug was super helpful, asking if we needed anything and helping us out when we had a wasp in our site. If we plan to go to Lassen in the future, this campground will be on our short list of choices.

My family and I are avid campers, but we don't usually stay at KOAs - we may be converts now! We were so impressed with how kind and easygoing the staff were not to mention the amazing family activities they had going on. You can tell the staff put a lot of effort into their job and take pride in it. The facilities were all so clean as well. We also appreciated how quiet the campground was.

Beautiful area! Friendly staff, clean cabins and camp sites, love the pancake breakfast on Saturdays! My Family has had 2 Family Reunions there! We love it there!

Unfortunately it was a bit chilly & rained off & on, but it’s is such a quiet restful campground. This was our second visit & it will not be the last. Great customer service. They sell bundles of wood for provided camp rings. Cabins available for non campers.

Check in was rocky. We arrived right when the front office was closing (5:05) and the young woman at the front was visibly annoyed and rushing us out. She didnt explain anything about the campgrounds. We went to our cabin but it was locked and the night manager did not answer the phone. Also dogs barking in the distance kept friends awake at night. Everything else was great! Clean. Friendly. Fun

Great grounds especially for kids and families. Great pancake breakfast. Enjoyed meeting new people. Friday night movie is a great idea but is very loud throughout campground. Ended at 9:30pm so wasn't too late but made our evening wind down time a little more difficult. Great access to Lassen National Park which is why we stayed. Otherwise, great stay and would return if in the area for sure!

It’s always great. However, our group would like to say, that we wish you would go back to the way it was before the ownership change. We likes the ice cream social on Saturday and the pancake breakfast on Sunday better. As we always leave on Sunday so we miss the ice cream social and who wants to cook on Sunday morning before we leave. Please consider this.

This was our first time staying at a KOA and it was a wonderful experience. This campground was clean, quiet and there were a lot of fun things to do. Pool, playground, cornhole, basketball, volleyball, etc. all great amenities for a family! We stayed in a cabin with a bathroom and partial kitchen. It was perfect for what we needed. All the staff was also super friendly!

The campground was very clean. Lots of shade and spaces to hang out with family. The movie night and snow cones were lovely and enjoyed by the kids. The lawn and covered patio were a great place to visit and make memories. All the campers were very friendly and respectful. The gift shop was very well stocked and had some very helpful items that we forgot to pack. And we had a nice cup of coffee.

Cabin was super clean and the shower was great, cabin had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The manager was very friendly and helpful.

Always a great place to go. Staff is helpful and friendly. The pancake breakfast on Saturday morning was great. Pool is open if you have kids. Heated pool. Beautiful place.

Beautiful location. The cabins are nice and clean. Wonderful staff members. Cabins book out fast. Make sure to book ahead on the website in advance.

"Quiet location with plenty of shady spots. Great variety of activities for kids — table tennis, cornhole, baseball, basketball, and huge swings. Clean, well-maintained restrooms, including accessible facilities. Covered outdoor area with patio heaters and a gas grill."

I didn't actually stay here. I did go check it out with a friend who already had a future reservation. Our encounter with the office staff was friendly and informative. They have a cute little store to pick up some fun souvenirs and bare necessities. ( Ice Cream!)The grounds keeper led us to the site my friend had reserved and pointed out all the amenities. We wandered around for a bit and were very pleased with what we saw. The grounds are nestled among tall pines, there's a heated swimming pool, dog park, volleyball court, and a place to shoot baskets, and get this...Tether ball! Lots of space for kids to explore and have a great time. I'm looking forward to booking a spot for my family soon!
