This was our first trip to Mt. Lassen/ Shingletown KOA and in spite of the very rainy weekend, we had a great time for their Fall Festival. Beautiful and clean grounds, fun activities for the whole family. Especially loved being able to get complimentary cups of hot coffee or apple cider in the store.

Our family had a blast at Mt Lassen KOA! The campground is clean and beautiful. The staff is professional, helpful and friendly. Thank you Aaron, Jenel, Abby, Sheri, Donna, Patty Doug, Tim, and Bill. This KOA deserves a higher rating than a 5. This is why our family travels so far to come to Mt Lassen KOA. We’ll be back.

This is one of my favorite campsites anywhere. Playground for the kids? Yes. Clean and warm showers? Of course. Dog park to let your dog run? Yes. Pool for the summer. Absolutely! They have everything I could want in a campsite.

I love it! First time staying at this KOA, and we really enjoyed our stay. The cozy cabins here are nicely, equipped, and furnished. I love that there are linens available for use for a nominal charge, but we did bring our own linens so it’s nice to have that option. Staff are nice and friendly, would stay here again!

Stayed on a tent site that was HUGE and had it's own lantern lighting. Bathrooms and showers the next morning were spotless and we're always happy to see so many recycling bins for refuse. Would gladly stay again next exploration of LassenNP!

The Mt Lassen/Shingletown KOA is beautiful. Carefully managed and maintained by people who care about their guests, and they strive to insure that everyone has a good experience. We completely enjoyed our stay. We’ve been on the road for six weeks now, and this is one of the best RV parks we have seen. We highly recommend this property.

Great location close to Lassen Volcanic, comfortable beds, friendly staff

Great tent area. I had T6 and the only issue was the light from the trash area so next time it would cover my tent with blackout cover. I think there are dogs very near the KOA property that barked quite a bit at night. Made my dog a bit nervous.

Bathrooms were clean. The site was quiet. No worries about bears and animals stealing food. It was very cold in the night and we had run out of wood. I reached out to the night manager who got us more wood in the middle of the night and saved the night.

Absolutely amazing! Beautiful and comfortable, close to Lassen Volcanic National Park.

We had a great time with friends. The sights were clean and kept up. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely will come back.

The park was lovely with lots of trees. But the trees did make it difficult for us to get into a rather tight spot. Our neighbors were noisy into the night, not really KOA’s fault. We travel with no pets yet we had dog excrement in our area.

i had a stuck slide out and Tim was very helpful in helping diagnose the issue. we have been to this campground 3 times and will return!

We had one small maintenance issue that we resolved ourselves. It happened after hours. We let the front desk know about it the next day. The KOA did provide a small credit for our troubles. I felt management dealt with the issue correctly and everyone walked away happy. We would stay there again!

We had a very nice stay. I was in an RV spot 35, next to my sister’s cabin. My spot was nice and level. The park is very pretty with nice amenities. We loved the nature area in the back with basketball, volleyball, a couple swings and nice area for my grandson to ride his bike.

I would 5-star if shower stalls were cleaner. The bathrooms are fine, it is the stalls that need a good cleaning. Watch for low trees if in a big rig. Great access to NP and ample level space for pull thru with towed truck, level was good but site 28 was a mix of gravel and dirt in hard used area and more gravel would have been preferred. Nice friendly staff, appreciated the free hot beverage.

Lovely campground. beautiful setting, very convenient. Our cabin was spotless and really comfortable. We arrived after the office had closed, and they made it very easy on us with our keys ready and they had even turned on the heat so our cabin was ready for us to settle in. Great reading lawn with hammocks that we took advantage of after an early day of hiking!

Beautiful campground in a great location. Staff was friendly and took pride in their jobs. Ice cream social was fantastic! Pool was nice and clean and it was fun to have one available. Terrible cell service here, but they had very good wifi. We also appreciated the filtered water station at the drinking fountain. Thanks for a nice stay!

One of the nicest KOA campgrounds I have stayed at. Very well kept up with a myriad of activities geared towards families and large groups. It is situated in a beautiful forest of conifers. The parking spots are gravel and mine was level. The hookup worked fine. I used the bath, laundry facilities, and pool - all very nice. It's a short drive to the Lassen Volcanic National Park entrance. Highly recommended for a visit to this beautiful park.

This is one of the nicest KOA's that I have been to. A group of 13 of us were spread across three campsites and a cabin. It worked out wonderfully for all of our needs. We had mainly teens with us and the campground kept them busy when we weren't exploring Lassen National Park. They swam in the heated pool, played basketball and tetherball, and ventured around the back area behind our tents to play on the swings. At night, we went on the flashlight walk looking for the glow in the dark eyes in the trees. If you are tent camping with a group, I highly recommend booking Tent Site 9 and 10 because they are huge and allow room to roam. This KOA is also a few miles from Lassen National Park and also a short drive to Shingletown if you need something. This was a very convenient location for us! There is a wonderful man who was very helpful to all of us during our time there. I wish I caught his name but he even brought us some Sis-Q-Logs so we can have a campfire. The cons are small - the bathrooms and showers are quite a trek from the tent sites. I got lost at night and ended up in someone else's camping spot and had to walk around to find it. There is one dishwashing station but this is also at the front of the KOA so it's a trek. We cooked every meal for 13 people for four days and nights so we all had to walk our dishes up front to wash. Not a big deal but we wish we would have brought our own dishwashing station. Heads up, there is no real wood allowed to be burned here. You must purchase Sis-Q-Logs from their KOA store. It was fine with us, it smells and looks like real campfire and we think it even burned longer so that was a plus. Also, there is no ban on electric bikes or dirt bikes here so there were a few kids in the campground zipping around and kicking up dirt everywhere. Not terrible but kind of annoying when we were cooking. Outside of these small things, this is one of the best KOA's I've been to and stayed at. We loved it!
