Inconvenient check in time and not allowing exceptions is the primary reason for this low rating. Nice, friendly staff but my check in left me with a poor impression of this KOA.

The experience of camping includes campfires. We were very disappointed that wood fires were not allowed, unless of course we paid for your small amount of wood that was priced too high.

It was quiet and peaceful. We went to Mt Lassen during our stay of two nights. The park is well equipped for fun and the pool was great. The staff were excellent.

We contacted the night manager to have another campsite turn off their outside music during quiet hours (a clearly-stated campground rule). He was very defensive/argumentative and ultimately the music was turned down, but not off. This combined with the $56/night charge for a tent site means we will likely not be staying at KOAs in the future. See my 1-star google review (9/3/23) for more details.

We were very impressed with the facility, the activities, the location, the spaces, pretty much everything. We will be returning and bringing friends, both RVers and cabin campers. We are excited to come back!!

Extremely clean camp ground, very friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating within reason. Well planned activities for the kids and adults, such as movie night, foam pit, cornhole, tournament, pancake breakfast and ice cream social with all the fixings. We had a very pleasant stay. The only thing my original reservation was cancelled because I came a day late and the staff had to prevent together something. I didn't like having to move campsites.

Always wonderful. We have stayed in just about every type of accommodation you offer. We’ve had trailer, Class C, and cabin camped. Yours is not a line-them-up campground! The sites for trailers & campers are separated well. All cabins are unique and well maintained. This is why we’re keep returning. Oh! The dog park is clean and has good play stations for our pup.

This is one of the best KOAs we stayed in on our trip. Great trees and beautiful walking trails. The dog park is huge and has some fun things for the pups. They have an ice cream social in the afternoons and really go above and beyond. Clean park and friendly staff.

Love the peaceful setting and the fact your property is not visibly fenced in but fenced in. The back dog park is wonderful. You have so much to offer families, you really thought of everything to keep the kids happy and busy!

We did a tent camping weekend and absolutely had a wonderful time. The employees were friendly and helpful. The public areas were clean and enjoyable. The pancake breakfast was delicious. Between swimming and pong and our campsite it was the best 1st time camping experience for my granddaughters.

You guys have a great and helpful staff. They were extremely polite, accommodating to my every request and kept me welcome with their warm personalities. Coming from the Bay Area to travel to your location was well worth the 4hr trip. Your staff takes great pride in keeping up with the grounds and it shows! Friendly staff, great sites. We stayed Tuesday-Friday and it was quiet. There’s a nice grassy area with games to play,a playground, a pool with plans of expanding it, nice dog park, tree swing, RC track, tether ball & basketball. There’s a small area to hike around where the tree swing is and a bird viewing area.. The only thing I wish all KOA’s did was not make the sites so close togeth

The grounds were great. The only thing that was incorrectly laid out was the dump station. It was on the wrong side to use when exiting the campground.

We stayed in a cabin; it had everything we needed. It was clean and everything worked. The Saturday Pancake Breakfast was a delicious treat! The host Eric was nice and friendly.

This campsite is fantastic! It's clean, well-maintained, and has the warmest, most friendly staff. I had a deluxe cabin and I was super impressed by the amenities. I had no idea it was going to be so nice and have so much inside. I'm a backpacker and used to roughing it but my wife does not like camping. She was completely happy and satisfied with our experience. Thank you all!

One of the nicest KOA campgrounds I have stayed at. Very well kept up with a myriad of activities geared towards families and large groups. It is situated in a beautiful forest of conifers. The parking spots are gravel and mine was level. The hookup worked fine. I used the bath, laundry facilities, and pool - all very nice. It's a short drive to the Lassen Volcanic National Park entrance. Highly recommended for a visit to this beautiful park.

This is one of the nicest KOA's that I have been to. A group of 13 of us were spread across three campsites and a cabin. It worked out wonderfully for all of our needs. We had mainly teens with us and the campground kept them busy when we weren't exploring Lassen National Park. They swam in the heated pool, played basketball and tetherball, and ventured around the back area behind our tents to play on the swings. At night, we went on the flashlight walk looking for the glow in the dark eyes in the trees. If you are tent camping with a group, I highly recommend booking Tent Site 9 and 10 because they are huge and allow room to roam. This KOA is also a few miles from Lassen National Park and also a short drive to Shingletown if you need something. This was a very convenient location for us! There is a wonderful man who was very helpful to all of us during our time there. I wish I caught his name but he even brought us some Sis-Q-Logs so we can have a campfire. The cons are small - the bathrooms and showers are quite a trek from the tent sites. I got lost at night and ended up in someone else's camping spot and had to walk around to find it. There is one dishwashing station but this is also at the front of the KOA so it's a trek. We cooked every meal for 13 people for four days and nights so we all had to walk our dishes up front to wash. Not a big deal but we wish we would have brought our own dishwashing station. Heads up, there is no real wood allowed to be burned here. You must purchase Sis-Q-Logs from their KOA store. It was fine with us, it smells and looks like real campfire and we think it even burned longer so that was a plus. Also, there is no ban on electric bikes or dirt bikes here so there were a few kids in the campground zipping around and kicking up dirt everywhere. Not terrible but kind of annoying when we were cooking. Outside of these small things, this is one of the best KOA's I've been to and stayed at. We loved it!

Lots of family activities and things to do. Great access to Lassen National Park. Facilities and customer service were great. Enjoyed our pancake breakfast as well. Thanks for a great stay.
