Such a fun weekend the festival is better when it's one weekend though and not 2. Very nice facilities & super clean. Billing has been a nightmare though, not resolved after multiple attempts. I'm sure new operators will get it figured out soon.

Been coming here for over 30 years? This is a destination. The staff here are amazing. Shout out to Doug and Tim, you guys made our stay perfect. Nature trail and dog park are great. Perfect place for kids or grandkids. See you next year!

Easy to maneuver while parking my 26 foot travel trailer. KOA staff always friendly and willing to help. Accommodation clean and functional. Traveling with two dogs, the dog run aloud them some freedom and running time. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a most excellent campsite complete with a patio, table and fire pit. We would love to stay again.

There was lots of space for our RV, customer service was great! it was a woodsy feel. My only critique, I wish pot smoking was illegal and there was a hot tub after all the beautiful hiking.

It was great scenery with all the redwood trees. Absolutely beautiful. Tom

Loved the walk in the woods for the surprises there! Nice office staff! Great spot to stay in the woods for a visit to Mt Lassen My husband especially liked it because it was quiet - no highway noises all night like in many KOAs.

Very nice large quiet peaceful lot. The workers at the desk were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here.

After staying here I understand why they are so highly rated. Everything about the park is wonderful. Bathroom showers laundry extremely clean. Grounds very well maintained. And lots of little extras in amenities throughout.

Bathroom s near our site were closed. No regular TV. Just WiFi. For a KOA, at this price point I was very disappointed. Especially the bathroom inconveniences.

We were travelling to Lassen National Park for a few days and landed at the KOA in Shingletown. The camping spots were spacious and flat. There were trees everywhere, but not too many to avoid sunlight. The amenities were plentiful, the park, clean. This is a wonderful KOA, convenient to the small downtown and the National Park. Everyone was helpful and kind.

I have never rated anything a 10 out of a 10, but this was the best camping experience ever! The staff was cordial and very accommodating. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The tent site was very spacious. We have stayed at 3 different KOAs on this one trip and this one was the best by far. Thank you to the staff for making our short stay a relaxing one!

The park was clean and quiet. We stayed in a deluxe cabin. The pool was clean and refreshing. The park was in close proximity to Mt. Lassen park. We found some nice things at the gift shop too!

Always great, staff is on top of most everything. The KOA might consider animal proof waste disposal containers as every night the garbage was scattered around. A couple of times you could hear them foraging.

I absolutely love this campground. It is spotless and they really care for their campers. Thank you to the owners of this KOA for making our trip a memorable experience.

Beautiful KOA! We wish we could have stayed longer! Grounds, laundry and restrooms were spotless. It is evident that the owners take great pride and care of their campground and their guests.

This is the best KOA we have ever been to. I really liked the atmosphere. Nice, shaded sites and play areas. Very clean and well kept. Great area for kids to ride bikes and play.

Very nice. Clean and peaceful. On our list of repeats!

The cost of this campground seems to have increased dramatically over the past few years. Staff is friendly and helpful save for a minor billing issue that was resolved satisfactorily. A bit disappointed in the lack of cooking supplies in the cabin house.

We have stayed at a lot of KOA’s, this KOA is my favorite one so far. There are so many little nooks and crannies throughout the park with little games to play with your kids like the glowing cat eyes, a bike trail, the best dog park with an agility course. A corner to sit and enjoy the birds. The campsites are spacious. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable of the area

Our cabin was clean and well appointed, the facilities on property were so nice, and Tanner at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure we had a freezer in our cabin for prescription medication we had with us that needed to remain frozen. Wonderful first experience at a KOA. We will definitely be back!

The staff at Mt. LASSEN/Shingletown KOA is the best! They always treat us like family and cater to our every need. Doug, the Maintenance guy, is by far the best around, friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help. We come at least once a year, sometimes twice. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was a very brief overnight, but we decided to go the extra miles off the interstate to get someplace cooler and quiet. We were glad we did. This KOA was a prime campground. We have stayed at many KOA's which were all good, but this location stood out as outstanding. Clean, shady, lots of amenities and adding more with things for all ages to enjoy.

Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Campground is beautiful and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

A very clean, quiet, well maintained Resort with great accommodations for Kids and Adults. The nicest KOA we have stayed at in all our years of RV traveling. My only criticism is that the Park night-time lighting needs to be constrained so visitors can better observe the great Dark Sky stargazing opportunities.

Great campground. Clean, well organized, large sites, great trees and walking trails. Wi-fi that actually works - well! Mt. Lassen National park is 20 minutes away with fantastic hikes and views. Hat Creek is 30 minutes away...one of the best fly fishing spots in the Western USA.
Sep 24, 2024
The campground and cabins are always clean and the staff are super friendly! Great place to stay! Close enough to drive to Hat Creek to go fishing, then return to a comfortable place to stay. We have been going there for many years and will continue to do so! We have a travel trailer and we don't always take it. We have tent camped and stayed in several of the many cabins they have to offer.

Stayed two nights in a cabin with my dad. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Cabin was very clean as was the entire campgrounds. Highly appreciated our stay.

One of the nicest KOA campgrounds I have stayed at. Very well kept up with a myriad of activities geared towards families and large groups. It is situated in a beautiful forest of conifers. The parking spots are gravel and mine was level. The hookup worked fine. I used the bath, laundry facilities, and pool - all very nice. It's a short drive to the Lassen Volcanic National Park entrance. Highly recommended for a visit to this beautiful park.

This is one of the nicest KOA's that I have been to. A group of 13 of us were spread across three campsites and a cabin. It worked out wonderfully for all of our needs. We had mainly teens with us and the campground kept them busy when we weren't exploring Lassen National Park. They swam in the heated pool, played basketball and tetherball, and ventured around the back area behind our tents to play on the swings. At night, we went on the flashlight walk looking for the glow in the dark eyes in the trees. If you are tent camping with a group, I highly recommend booking Tent Site 9 and 10 because they are huge and allow room to roam. This KOA is also a few miles from Lassen National Park and also a short drive to Shingletown if you need something. This was a very convenient location for us! There is a wonderful man who was very helpful to all of us during our time there. I wish I caught his name but he even brought us some Sis-Q-Logs so we can have a campfire. The cons are small - the bathrooms and showers are quite a trek from the tent sites. I got lost at night and ended up in someone else's camping spot and had to walk around to find it. There is one dishwashing station but this is also at the front of the KOA so it's a trek. We cooked every meal for 13 people for four days and nights so we all had to walk our dishes up front to wash. Not a big deal but we wish we would have brought our own dishwashing station. Heads up, there is no real wood allowed to be burned here. You must purchase Sis-Q-Logs from their KOA store. It was fine with us, it smells and looks like real campfire and we think it even burned longer so that was a plus. Also, there is no ban on electric bikes or dirt bikes here so there were a few kids in the campground zipping around and kicking up dirt everywhere. Not terrible but kind of annoying when we were cooking. Outside of these small things, this is one of the best KOA's I've been to and stayed at. We loved it!
