Firewood
Firewood is available for purchase. $7 for one bundle, $20 for 3 bundles, and $30 for 5 bundles. This wood has been heat treated by a DCNR certified supplier and kiln dried to kill off any insects or disease.
They give you shade. They provide oxygen. Please help keep our trees available for future generations.
Pests traveling in outside firewood, or pallets, have killed off hundreds of trees on the property.
Wood that looks clean and healthy can still have tiny insect eggs, or microscopic fungi spores, that will start a new and deadly infestation.
Aged or seasoned wood is still not safe. Just because it is dry does not mean that bugs can't crawl onto it!
So please, don't bring firewood into the park, even if you think it looks fine.
Thanks for understanding why we can't allow outside firewood, and for helping us save the remaining trees on our property!
