Facilities are ok, the keypad locks on restroom doors are confusing. It would be great if they are standard for each door with flat, easy to read pad. 123 456 789 Also this location would be beautiful if it had a canopy of pine trees all over. It’s a shame to come to east Texas and no trees. Just sayin.

Pool is nice but shower bath combos on location were not the cleanest and thermostat was set to 80 so it was uncomfortable

If you are just needing a place to rest for an overnight, it’s ok. Long stays I would not recommend. Here’s why: bathrooms were small and a creeper hole in the bathroom with no cover. Camp K9 is a horse pen full of left over dog poop by previous owners because there are no poop bags or pooper scooper. There are no longhorns to see. Only an endless waves of 18 wheelers a quarter mile away.

Filthy dog area. We spent 10min picking up multiple piles of dog poo. Finally stopped and just walked our dogs around the pond. Wish there were trees for shade at spots. This was the first time the office was open in the 4 or 5 times we’ve been there.

Envelope waiting on office door, so did not meet the staff. Spot was level concrete and maintenance was good. Seems new with not many trees to shade site, but will develop over time. Atmosphere peaceful and quiet.

Stayed in a patio spot and had plenty of room for our 45ft Motorhomes plus towed. Nice place

The campground was nice, but needed more maintenance help. There are only 2 people (owner's wife and daughter) working the park. They are not in the office most of the time. They were great to work with and let us have use of the club house for the 2 weeks our group was there.

Restrooms unkept. Trash not emptied from common areas. Cabins were dirty. Staff was courteous.

closed most of the time. rec room was dirty when we got there and when we left a week later the floor had never been cleaned and nothing was ever dusted. we stayed in site 28 and there was no sewage cover.

Just needed a place to stay over night while passing through. It was after hours, so I called the manager and she walked me thru check-in. I have stayed at KOA's around the country and this was hands down the nicest one. The whole campground was well kept. The shower house was clean. I would definitely recommend staying there.

We stayed three nights and returned for one night about ten days later. On both occasions management was very accommodating as we were dealing with a very ill relative. We really appreciated the thoughtful service.

The facility is clean and well-maintained. Very quiet. Easy access. Shower houses are convenient and very clean. The pool was clean and very nice place to relax after a long day of softball. Wifi was fair...some buffering, but usable. We will definitely stay here again Webb we come back to the lufkin area.

Pulled in around 6:00 pm. A truck was in my spot. Driver finally came over to move it. When I was ready to leave in the morning, a suv with a boat attached park in front of my exit. Driver was no where to be found, had to back out. Not happy.

Depends what you're looking for.. The grounds and store were well kept kept and clean. Stayed Thursday through Monday and never saw anyone check in. I would guess a quarter of the park had RVs in them but we saw very few people, I think they were long term. This was our 1st time staying at a journey, maybe that was what set my expectations?

Loved it as always. This is one of our favorites. Only complaint would be the boards need to be replaced on the deck of the cabin we stayed in. Was nervous walking/standing on it.

Guess bad lucks comes in threes . 1st we booked a premium patio site and go a confirmation of such but upon arriving was not available. 2. Was then assigned a different site which was ok. 3. Upon arriving back from the pool found out the power had failed on this site which had been an ongoing park issue with the excessive heat . Not wanting to move again we left after 6 hours �Ϫ

Quaint little campground. Close to highway but I tuned out the road noise. Sites level, ok spacing. Looks like they have semi permanent/seasonal campers. Only downside for us, the next door neighbor had 3 dogs and didn't clean up after them. Had to dodge doggie landmines hooking up and disconnecting utilities. Being a former KOA work camper, I had to bite my tongue and not cause an issue. It was just a one night stay, did not use any of the amenities offered.

2nd time at this campground. Easy reserving, sites are nice not far off main road & not far from a business area. Clean & well maintained.
