We did tent camping on the deluxe site. The sand pad was better than gravel. Aircraft noise made sleeping difficult. We recommend ear plugs or white noise. My kids enjoyed the play area. The lockbox was handy. No one came to pickup our garbage while we were out during the day, and when we came back at night, we had to clean up the trash scattered by animals. Staff was friendly.

It was a Wonderful, well planned Father’s Day weekend at this KOA! I’m thankful to the workers & owners of this campground. You all made our stay a nice camp experience, it was so pleasurable! Thank you!

As a single traveler on a cross-country trip, this KOA provided single night reservation which State parks did not. This site suited me just fine in that it gave me a place to lay my head for one night. As for a camping experience, I felt this property correlated more to apartment living with site so close together and activities going on well into the night.

My wife and I brought our 2 boys for their very first time camping. To say they had an amazing time would be an understatement! The grounds were very nice and clean, great pool, very friendly staff. It was such a wonderful weekend that we won’t soon forget. Will definitely be back and we’ve already told all our family members about it. Thank you all so much!

The stay was great. A little noisy with all the UPS planes in the evening, but not much to do about that. The campground amenities were great along with the staff. Thanks.

We enjoyed the pool, playground, jump pad, park, hiking trails. The bathrooms were clean, staff was friendly. Our sites were next to a bright street light for the playground, which was very bright through our tent. Didn’t know which fire ring belonged to 306. Could not fish in the pond and getting to the river was very deep mud. Would be nice to have a dock to fish or fishing pond.

I recently completed my first stay at your facility and wanted to share my feedback. I had a wonderful experience; the campground and bathrooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff were both friendly and insightful. While the convenience of the camp store comes at a premium, I thoroughly enjoyed my time and will definitely be visiting again.

Very clean and well kept with respectful and helpful staff. Far enough outside the city to feel like you’re really camping but close enough to easily get to Louisville. Would stay again

Friendly staff, plenty to do to keep the kids busy nice park a jump pad yard sized games volleyball net with sand arena well kept campgrounds, we will be coming back soon

We arrived late, they had all of our reservation info ready for us. This is our second time staying - booth stays were wonderful. Great place, clean rest rooms, friendly people, all good!!

During my stay the facilities were very well maintained and kept clean. Then my water spicket was frozen upon arrival at my tent site but was promptly addressed and fixed in a timely manner.

This was the nearest campground to Bloomington. Homecoming weekend and fall weather were going on. The game day commute wasn't bad and I got to visit Louisville. A lot of trees and greenery. The grounds are clean and well kempt. The tent sites are large enough to,provide a good degree of privacy. Good value.

This is the most beautiful park like this near Louisville and I love how they go about pleasing the campers and providing activities for us. Plus facilities are nice and will be coming back again soon ���waiting to for one of the cabins to come available.

Staff was nice but distance to showers and not allowed to have CAMPfires at our CAMPsite was very very disappointing. We did select a site with no power but if no nearby showers and no campfires for that site would have been made know, most likely would not have booked the stay.

Campground was clean and the host were all super friendly and helpful! I was blow away with how neat and clean everything was considering the massive music festival we were there for!

Great employees, very nice. My only negative comment is that I purchased 2 bundles of firewood, but didn't use any of it. Camp store wouldn't allow a return, but suggested that I donate the wood to another camper. 20 $ worth of firewood?

Everyone was so nice to me! I showed up early, with the wrong reservation date, desperate to try camping by myself to prove that I can be more than just a city slicker. The women at the desk were immensely kind and helpful with guiding me through dog etiquette and offering to deliver firewood. The grounds keeper gentleman saw me struggling with the tent and gave me some effective advice!

Lovely weather, fun activities and a restful experience, even for a holiday weekend. This is our favorite staycation campground. We run away here anytime we want to camp but can’t leave town for an extended period of time.

I definitely did not like the layout of site 377. If anything the rate should not be the same a other sites. You are definitely working harder just to relax and enjoy camping. Would stay again but would never pick this site again.

My stay was--for the most part--relaxing. The only thing that was a drawback was the movie that was shown for the kids. My tent site was very close to the screen, and the speakers were loud. I understand this was very fun for the kiddos, but I needed rest as I was travelling from Tennessee back to Upstate New York. If I had known, I would have requested a site further away from that area.

It’s a great park, and all the staff is friendly and very helpful. I only wish there was more fishing access to the river. Nevertheless I will be back.

Stayed over the Fourth of July Weekend. Super clean. Nice sites. Very helpful staff (they even found and returned our 15 year old, deaf Aussie when he accidently wandered off). Also the activities were Great. Will stay here again!

This is the best KOA we've stayed at so far. If you're visiting Louisville, especially for the horse races, this campground is in a fantastic location and makes getting around easy while still providing a peaceful place to relax. The campground is clean, well maintained, and very welcoming. The staff was friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The sites were spacious, and everything was organized, making our stay stress free. There are plenty of activities for kids and families, along with nice amenities that make it more than just a place to park your camper. Whether you're staying for one night or several days, it's a campground you'll want to return to. We especially loved how close it is to Churchill Downs, making it the perfect home base for race day without dealing with the hustle of staying downtown. If you're planning a trip to Louisville, we highly recommend staying here. It was our favorite KOA yet, and we will definitely be back on our next visit.
