Campground Reviews

The road in was horrible for our RV. Too close to each other in sites. Not the quality of other KOA’s that we have stayed in. Would not choose to stay here again.

Wonderful site, staff & value for the money. My only complaint (one i know is a challenge and not necessarily possible) has to do with the bathroom facilities away from the main office. They needed to be tended to more often during the day because a number of times the toilets were plugged and over all, soiled beyond belief (more than likely caused by children).

On October 12, 2024, we and another couple mad reservations for this park for one night. We also asked to be next to each other. When we got to the park, they gave us our spot, it was 55 and our friends were in another section, not near us. When they led us to 55, lime was all around the sewer on both sides of the camper. This is the worst KOA I have been in.

First of all, the road to get to the KOA is horrible. We should have had a warning. We asked to be near our friends when we made the reservation back in September but we were not even close. We were at opposite ends. No campfire due to the sites being too close and the neighbors truck was 6’ from our pit. The men’s bathroom had broken urinals and not very clean. This KOA is the worst we have

We have stayed here several times. The staff is friendly, the restrooms and cabins are clean, and the scenery is beautiful.

Tent site had two bathrooms close but they have showers in them. So they were occupied for most of an afternoon and evening. Couldn't even go to the bathroom. Had to walk a bit with three kids at our site to go. Heated pool was not heated. Kids swam for maybe 20 minutes and were freezing.

Beautiful spot right on the river!! Very nice store/office and fun bikes for kids! Pool was ice cold even though it says it’s heated. Showers were older and not in the best condition. Still loved our time here!

Site was nice and a good size. Pool was way too cold, could not even go in it.

We enjoyed the CG, 50 minuted to Yellowstone. We had site 31 which was close to the office but was pretty big and somewhat secluded. We had no water at the dump station. There were, in my opinion too many late arrivals that left their loud engines running for too long. Same in the morning with campers leaving. Not sure how you police that but it’s just rude camping. The showers need updating 2 o

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The campground itself was very well-kept. We loved the number of activities available for kids. The bathrooms and showers were dingy, run-down, and dirty. For the amount of money spent, it would be nice if those were updated and clean. Even with that said, we enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back.

I had the best site in the whole campground. Tent site, back corner- with a beautiful view of the mountains. Staff was super awesome!! There needs to be more bathroom/showers for people back by the tent area, one toilet is not enough for more than 20 sites. KOA does need to put more money and effort back into this campground: it has a TON of potential !

Place is very nice

Great campground and location. The only problem is the gravel road (about a mile long) leading to the campground - it is extremely rough and washboarded.

Not a bad campground, but it’s horrendous to get into. 1.5 mile gravel road with lots and lots of pot holes. Had to drive 10 mph the whole time. Found out later the back entrance is only 3/4 mile gravel road with pot holes. At least it’s shorter. Either way, I’d never go back because of this. The campground staff was very friendly.

Your sites are way too small. Absolutely no privacy. The road to your campground was disgusting and hazardous.

Kids had a blast on the enormous trampoline thing. We heard the pool was fun. Bathrooms could use some TLC. Staff were pleasant.

Very nice cabins, good customer service. The bathrooms (with toilets) could use some updating.

I loved the cabin by the river. It was peaceful and had a great view. The bathroom was only in fair condition. It was missing hooks and didn’t have a showerhead. It was one of the poorer bathrooms I’ve seen at a KOA.

The staff is very nice. The campground is on the Yellowstone River and is very convenient to Livingston MT.

The road to get to the place off the highway was awful, gravel and full of pot holes, making the trip to and from for 3 days the worst. 3 out of 4 washing machines were out of order. The campground was nice, but KOA making a killing off the rates they charge, do better!!

Unfortunately not what a KOA Holiday should be. Though the location is beautiful and the fishing spot is great we didn’t feel this made up for the run down facilities. Most laundry machines were out of order, bathrooms not cleaned well (the floor not cleaned during our 7 day stay), pool baths out of order and over grown grounds. It was hard to see staff driving around on carts ignoring all issue

Crowded sites, unable to put out camp chairs. The back of our trailer was nearly touching the next. Site did not provide any room to be outside or socialize. Bath houses were quite unclean during the entire stay. Unfortunately the entire experience left a lot to be desired.

A great place! The road coming in is a joke and has been for years! Somehow it needs to be repaired!

Very small KOA. Sites by the River are awesome, and the Wildlife walking within the Camp is pretty cool. The reason for the low score is the gravel road getting to the camp that is about a mile or two long is completely washboard and potholed. It shock my RV so badly I literally had to drive less than 3 miles per hour.

Diligent, professional and friendly staff. Extremely well maintained campground. All right on the Yellowstone River!

People were great. Sites are cozy and close together. Could be better maintenance on grounds, wanted to use shared area gas BBQ, was not clean and by the appearance not clean for awhile. Only two washers available for laundry. The staff made all the negatives less bothersome.

The road in is terrible. We know there is nothing you can do about it but you could war people, but that would hinder business. The spots are so close when we pulled out a slide, the people next to us stood up to see if they would have to move their chairs by their fire ring, they didn't. We did not use any of the facilities. Our dog liked the fenced area. The road was our first and last thought.

Only reason we gave it an 8 very dangerous as in driving down about 1.5 miles of a road full of potholes other than that it was excellent

The mile and a quarter road coming in is horrible. It is filled with potholes, which are hard on a travel trailer

Lovely Koa. The area was clean and beautiful. Well maintained.

Great place for our 1 night stay.. I would highly recommend grading the dirt road to the entrance. Because you are an RV spot and everyone is hauling an RV, the road was SO bumpy that I had to go 10 mph so out RV and contents would not fly off the shelves. Grade it so others won't have the same issues. Dave Scott

The campground is looking great. All the staff are working hard to keep up on the daily chores. GREAT JOB. Thank you Jordan Guy, Cindy and Gus oh ps the KOA is not responsible for the road call the county.

Over all positive experience. With that in mind we would stay here again. Pros and cons list below. We stayed in an rv backed up to the yellowstone river. PROS Views and location are INCREDIBLE. This immerses you into the Montana country side with stunning back drops of majestic mountain ranges to the east with snow capped tops. Grounds are well maintained but natural looking. Everything for rv hook up was easy and functional. The service was excellent, everyone was always asking if we needed anything or if they could be of service in anyway. Very friendly staff. Variety of sites with varying cost and ease of access. Amenities are very nice with almost every site having seating with a table and fire pit. Cons Showers/bathroom is a bit outdated but not run down. But even more so inconvenient is if any one turns on the hot water at the sink in the ladies room some of the showers get instantly icey cold. Other than those 2 small grievances, we 100% would return again and do reccomend this camp ground!

This is a gorgeous campground with cabins, tent sites, and RV sites. It is on the Yellowstone River with an amazing views of the mountains. They have a nice play ground, a huge bouncy house to jump on, little 3 wheeled bikes to race around the camp ground with. a heated indoor pool. There is a place just across the road where live music is playing on weekends with some big name bands. Very quaint and a wonderful time with food and drinks. There is a hiking spot up the road to paradise falls, Livingston is close for shopping, you are right by the Chico hot springs, as well as Yellowstone park. We have now made it an end of summer tradition for our family for the last 3 years and will continue to be for years to come.
