Covid-19 Responsible Recreation

Covid-19 Responsible Recreation

The Lena KOA Holiday campground, when open, will be operating according to the “Restore Illinois” Phase 4 guidelines for Covid-19 and the updated Illinois Department of Public Health Guidelines for RV Parks and Campgrounds. These guidelines may or may not allow us to operate certain amenities and activities to the fullest extent.

We are structuring our camper interactions, activities, and work practices in an attempt to achieve a safe environment for all.   The following are some of the practices in place:

  • ·Social distancing of 6 feet or more between family groups (related individuals in same household)
  • ·Limit groups to 10 or fewer people
  • ·Wear face masks when within 6 feet of others (outside of your household)
  • ·Wash hands frequently
  • ·Clean and sanitize surfaces frequently
  • ·Customers should not host or attend gatherings with people outside their single group occupying the campsite (e.g., outdoor cookouts, campfire gatherings)

Guest Registration and General Store Hours

Sunday: 9 am - 6 pm – Monday thru Thursday: 9 am – 7 pm, Friday: 9 am – 9 pm, Saturday: 9 am – 8 pm

What Looks Familiar

Here are some things that will look the same (or almost the same). Very few things will be 100% the same, but many things will be familiar:

  • Your campsite will still have the same amenities (based on site type) as before
  • You can still enjoy campfires. Note: Campers should not host or attend gatherings with people outside their single group occupying the campsite
  • We will deliver firewood, ice and other general store items to your site
  • We will still pick up your trash and recycling at your site
  • You can still enjoy many recreation activities on the grounds, with social distancing being observed, within family groups, numbers limited (check out equipment at the office or better yet use your own)

What Looks Different

These are some of the things that look different during Covid-19 Illinois Phase 4 operations of the Lena KOA Holiday:

  • We are requiring everyone to wear a face mask whenever inside or within 6 feet of someone outside of their own RV or Accommodation.
  • We are limiting group size to 10 or less anywhere on property when possible.
  • We are opening our bathrooms, but asking you use the bathroom in your camper or cabin whenever possible, leaving the bathrooms for those who do not have them available (tents and cabins)
  • We will be cleaning our bathrooms frequently throughout the day (Restrictions)
  • We will be disinfecting commonly touched surfaces regularly
  • We will escort you to your site, bypassing the office whenever possible, to limit contact
  • We are limiting our store to 10 customers at a time and encouraging touchless transactions
  • We are limiting the laundry room to 1 customer/family at a time
