Lake Isabella KOA was a great last minute spot we found. Needs a little facelift but otherwise very comfortable with all the amenities one can ask for.

It was mid June. I expected summer crowds but no. Our site with full hookups had no one on either side. It was level, partially shaded from a tree and very peaceful. Our site was furthest from Hwy 178 so there was no road noise. The bathrooms had working showers. The Wifi was very weak (maybe stronger closer to the office but didn’t run any tests to see.) The pool was clean and very inviting.

The hosts were very friendly, and the campsite was in good condition. The laundry room have old machines and only accepts cash, and the change machine only accepts $1 and $5 bills. Maybe they

An obviously old park. could use a refurb. Especially the shower facility. Biggest gripe was WiFi. Manager said it is always a problem. Obviously did not care. blamed it on the provider. My guess is no incentive to shop for a better service. I would not stay there again. My rank of a 3 was generous.

Cheerful staff, clean facilities. Pull through spots are partially shaded and level. Dam Korner Cafe in Lake Isabella made a terrific club sandwich to go! The potatoe salad was delicious!

Beautiful canp ground, nice fiendly people. For us hot water in the showers is a must. Sorry for the bad rating.

The campground is convenient to Lake Isabella, but not on the lake. Sites are basic, with several sites occupied with long term campers. Our back-in site was short but shady. Office has a saloon adjacent to the office, with bar food and beer offerings. Clean bathrooms and a well-maintained pool. It’s good for a one-nighter while traveling up the scenic east side of the Sierras.

The Staff was Great, Bathrooms were clean but the pub closed at 4 PM and if you wanted a pizza you needed to order by 3 PM and check in is at 3 PM. The Staff was very helpful and Customer Service was a priority.

Very friendly reception at check-in and accommodated an upgrade. Great place to park the trailer and spend time at Lake Isabella, Kern River or a scenic drive up to Sequoia.

The staff is super nice very helpful. Nice place if you want to park and sleep. Don’t really recommend for family. Play ground completely outdated and run down.

It was a quick one night stay but very pleasant. Management helpful and very courteous.

Overpriced and dirty, hookups not working properly, asked for a quiet spot far from others on an almost empty campground , got the one next to the trash on the left and one of the few other campers on the right…

There was not much to do around the campground. The store and pizza/pub closed at 4. I only stayed the one night and decided to leave because of the inactivity

The staff was wonderful and friendly, especially the maintenance guy, Jeff? However, this was not a nice KOA. I'm usually happy to pay a bit extra to stay at a KOA for the amenities, but they were severely lacking at this location. The only thing to do for the kids was a dilapidated play area.

The location was nice and checking went well. The woman's showers were less than desirable. Puddles on the floor wouldn't drain and we're icky. One of the shower doors wouldn't close at all, and there were no shower curtains. There were adequate hooks, but no bench. It was difficult to put pants on without them getting wet in the process.

Good stopover for one night when crossing the southern Sierras.

Good camp hosts in a beautiful area, even though the lake isn't very full with not a lot of trees around it. It seems to be a great hiking area. The towns nearby were close and a good access for supplies. We ended up eating out. We were passing through to go see Manzanar Japanese incarceration camp.

Nice stay. It would be nice however, if showers were available and not being cleaned when campers need to access them so they can prepare to leave. Thank you.

I haven't tried the rooms but used the RV space. The campsite is clean enough and the camp hosts are very helpful and thoughtful. They put on different entertainment events for the kids (like rock painting and an ice cream social) and the adults alike. There's plenty of shade but also plenty of mosquitos.

We went here while they were doing some renovations, but it did not detract at all! We brought a camper and were easily able to locate and park. The staff were amazing and so helpful checking us in too. The campsite is well shaded and has lots of amenities. They had a camp store, pub, a pool( which we got a lot of use out of), a ghost town themed playground with swings, camp kitchen(with a microwave), games(like horseshoe and giant tetris) plus a sluice. We bought two giant bags of rocks and had so much fun. They also have planned activities during the weekend like icecream social, pancake breakfast, popcorn, and rock painting. The only downside is mosquitos so be sure to bring bug spray and citronella.
