Campground Reviews

Site large enough for our 57’ motorhome & trailer. Campgrounds we’re ok but could use some clean up. Lady was nice in the office.

The staff is amazing. My only downgrade is that we didn't know that we needed to bring potable water due to the high nitrates in the water from the winter rains. I didn't fill my fresh water tank due to minimizing weight - I would have prepared differently.

I had forgotten I had stayed there a few years back. This KOA is run down. It feels like no one cares. I couldn't use the shower. The faucet didn't work well & water suddenly got scolding. I had to get out quickly. There was mice droppings on the window ledge by where I slept. The bed seemed very old as well. Not going to stay there again.

We were up for the weekend. The staff were very helpful, courteous, and friendly. They are why we are repeat customers.

Koa is okay, clean but situated next to highway. But it's a great point for visiting Lake Isabella

It looks like a party place. There were lots of noise and loud music sound after 10:00 PM, and it is not controlled by the staff.

It was my first time staying with KOA and it was a great experience for my family. We hope to visit again.

Very basic campground. 1/2 a mile from lake. Not much shade. Pool was closed down as still in off season in April.

We stayed here for a couple weeks and really enjoyed our time. It's a little ways from the river, but there is lake access a couple miles away. Grocery store in neighboring town, but this KOA also sells pizza, fries and wings out of their on-site bar. Our dogs enjoyed the pet walk and dog park, as well. All staff was very friendly. There are tons of trails we e-biked and locals used for dirtbikes.

My family has stayed at the Weldon KAO for over 10 years as it has been one our favorite places to go. In the past few years, the quality has gone down significantly. The floor was nasty it hadn't been mopped or swept in a while, with a cleaning fee. The coffee pot cord was melted so we couldn't use it complained and not resolved also there was comp coffee but no filter to make the coffee.

Your 110V 30 amp power is substandard for a KOA. Plus your water not being potable is a second negative.

Our stay followed the crazy storms which closed many other camp sites. Glad we came here. Since there weren't a lot of campers my kids had the whole place to themselves. Super quiet, clean, and friendly staff. Thanks! Will come again.

Quiet, clean campground

Good - beautiful scenic setting, quiet, small RV park. Near but not on the lake. I would like to come back but: the bad, non potable water, small unkept dog park(weeds, leaves, no pick up bags or water). The drive in is a steep 2 lane winding road, tough with large RV. The drive out to Bakersfield is worse. White knuckle, cliff edge drive I won’t do again. Come in from 14 to 178. Friendly.

We needed a place to after leaving Death Valley and heading back to the Bay area. I wanted a safe place that I knew I could go to so I looked up KOAs along the route. This one took us up a beautiful drive through the Southern Sierras and the person at the KOA was very helpful and welcoming. I appreciate them very much.

I haven't tried the rooms but used the RV space. The campsite is clean enough and the camp hosts are very helpful and thoughtful. They put on different entertainment events for the kids (like rock painting and an ice cream social) and the adults alike. There's plenty of shade but also plenty of mosquitos.

We went here while they were doing some renovations, but it did not detract at all! We brought a camper and were easily able to locate and park. The staff were amazing and so helpful checking us in too. The campsite is well shaded and has lots of amenities. They had a camp store, pub, a pool( which we got a lot of use out of), a ghost town themed playground with swings, camp kitchen(with a microwave), games(like horseshoe and giant tetris) plus a sluice. We bought two giant bags of rocks and had so much fun. They also have planned activities during the weekend like icecream social, pancake breakfast, popcorn, and rock painting. The only downside is mosquitos so be sure to bring bug spray and citronella.
