Had a nice stay at this KOA, PEOPLE WERE FRIENDLY AN ATTENTIVE TO ANY NEEDS WE HAD, AND THE GROUNDS ARE NEAT AND WELL MAINTAINED. WILL STAY HERE AGAIN. BOB, MICHIGAN

Needs a little TLC. The grounds especially the tent area needed a good mow and weed eater trimming. The pool needed skimming which I did. Sites were ok.

We had a great stay. Only one night. Campground was clean with nice level spot, some with shade. Bathrooms and showers were also clean and well maintained. Didn't use the pool but it looked wonderful. Will use again when passing through South Dakota.

The manager at the counter was very friendly and helpful when checking in. This KOA had the best bathrooms I have ever seen at a campground.

Ok but the pool missed a little love. Forgot the spa, it's like a brewing bin. Just forget it.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Just to set the record straight, there is no spa or hot tub at this campground. I can only presume that the reference is to the children's wading pool which was closed and locked due to being treated after an unfortunate incident the previous night.

Nice little campground. Easy pull in sites for our larger RV. Nice pool and playground area for the kiddos!

Kennebec KOA is antiquated and while staff are friendly, it has pretty much been let go. New picnic tables were an asset. Bathrooms clean. But the remnants of the horse shoe, ladder golf, miniature golf, etc is depressing. Add to the remoteness of the area it’s just not a KOA I could recommend.

Well maintained campground. Easy in and out with reasonable space between campsites. Water pressure was 32lbs with clean water. The electric was in good condition and worked well. Our space was level with fresh gravel, important because it rained the first day. Space for our dog walks and they have an enclosed play area. Nice people running it.

Great Folks, Great Site! Definitely an overnighter, however, if you have the time, do tour the small town. It's got some great Buildings and a couple of nice local restaurants! Thanks for hosting me!

As a stop over spot, this is a great place to stay. Quiet, clean and level pull through site made it easy for us to get the rest we needed. Pleasant staff!!!

We were told that we had the last site available. When we got there it was basically empty and nobody showed up the next day either! Plus the price was way over normal. I feel we got trapped in staying there.

I believe what the KOA web site says is "Your search returned 1 site type." This does not mean there is only one site left. It means because of the information you provided, only 1 site type will work for your vehicle. Sorry if that caused any misunderstanding.

Just an overnight, nice host/hostess. Our site was pretty level but there was an outside light right at our front door so we couldn’t sit outside in the evening for all the bugs. The bathrooms were clean but could us a little updating. The laundry room was clean but very warm, I had to sit on the counter under the only open window to get a breeze. The WiFi was ok. Nice small campground.

Office staff very friendly and helpful. The gal helped me sign up our friend traveling with us for a KOA Rewards card. Great! Lost my receipt on the way home and a young man went above and beyond to get us a duplicate receipt long after our stay. Thank you!!!

This was a stop for the night for my husband and I as we made our way to the Badlands at the end of August this year (2024). It was a small KOA and not as many amenities as others might offer. However it was the perfect distance between stops for us. A great, quiet place to sleep and the staff are near incredible! I understand that other KOAs probably offer more, but if you need a safe, comfortable spot to sleep, complete with showers then this is the place. We would easily stop here again. Enjoyed it :) I will say there were flies like crazy and we busted out the good ole Bug Assalt which depleted our salt chamber. hahahaha. I think I included a picture of it on the ground somewhere in the pics. Good times :)

A great site in small town USA. Management staggered the overnight campers throughout the grounds for a feeling of privacy that was greatly appreciated. Clean bathrooms, sites and doggie park. Grounds were well manicured with attention to detail. Highly recommend a stay here.
