Beautiful area, very clean and the hosts are very friendly, helpful and kind. We made sure to stay our second time here because of it.

Nice little campground. Easy pull in sites for our larger RV. Nice pool and playground area for the kiddos!

Pool was disappointing...came because of pool with 4 kids..firepit was a joke

Really wish you had brought your issues/concerns to us while you were here. We might have been able to to correct whatever was the problem.

Kennebec KOA is antiquated and while staff are friendly, it has pretty much been let go. New picnic tables were an asset. Bathrooms clean. But the remnants of the horse shoe, ladder golf, miniature golf, etc is depressing. Add to the remoteness of the area it’s just not a KOA I could recommend.

Well maintained campground. Easy in and out with reasonable space between campsites. Water pressure was 32lbs with clean water. The electric was in good condition and worked well. Our space was level with fresh gravel, important because it rained the first day. Space for our dog walks and they have an enclosed play area. Nice people running it.

Great Folks, Great Site! Definitely an overnighter, however, if you have the time, do tour the small town. It's got some great Buildings and a couple of nice local restaurants! Thanks for hosting me!

As a stop over spot, this is a great place to stay. Quiet, clean and level pull through site made it easy for us to get the rest we needed. Pleasant staff!!!

Super quiet and clean. Easy to got to your spot. I only had trouble because I was tired. Lots of space for the campers to be pulled through.

We were told that we had the last site available. When we got there it was basically empty and nobody showed up the next day either! Plus the price was way over normal. I feel we got trapped in staying there.

I believe what the KOA web site says is "Your search returned 1 site type." This does not mean there is only one site left. It means because of the information you provided, only 1 site type will work for your vehicle. Sorry if that caused any misunderstanding.

Just an overnight, nice host/hostess. Our site was pretty level but there was an outside light right at our front door so we couldn’t sit outside in the evening for all the bugs. The bathrooms were clean but could us a little updating. The laundry room was clean but very warm, I had to sit on the counter under the only open window to get a breeze. The WiFi was ok. Nice small campground.

Great place to stay while traveling. Quiet with not a lot of activity. Pool is great. Hosts were terrific! Bathrooms clean and showers were good.

Office staff very friendly and helpful. The gal helped me sign up our friend traveling with us for a KOA Rewards card. Great! Lost my receipt on the way home and a young man went above and beyond to get us a duplicate receipt long after our stay. Thank you!!!

The campground was ok but the fly’s were terrible you couldn’t sit outside and at one point I killed 20 in myRV trash was buildup at dumpster. No reason they didn’t spray the grounds!!!

Good for a one nighter, but anything longer I wouldn't recommend. Flies/mosquitos were unbearable. Kids pool was very cloudy. Too much rock was laid down in the sites - difficult to navigate rigs into position. Safety hazard to walk on. Lots of hot water and pressure in showers. Front office staff was very nice and accommodating. Nightly fees were steep.

Clean and well maintained campground. The staff was very nice. Low stock - out of water and other essentials. Amenities closed earlier than other KOAs.

WIFI unuseable, signal way too weak. People driving too fast do not care. Cannot eat on picnic table because of dust when people driving around. At night, fires i suppose using soft/old wood at it creates lots of smoke and very bad smelling. Need to stay in with air conditioning. Well maintained and quiet even if close to road

We came to the campsite late at night and they had the map to where our site was in the late check in area and marked out. The downfall that I had was they didn’t have a coin machine to be able to do our laundry since we don’t carry around change. The next day when I went to do the laundry they had no water to the park. This wasn’t their fault but it was just an inconvenience to us.

Very neat, clean, and comfortable, used mostly as a stopover while blasting through SD; but this campground is many times nicer than any other stopover site I’ve ever had.

Staff was very helpful. We requested a site with some shade as the temp was 102. Our site had shade which provided some relief from the heat. The store also had ice cream treats which really tasted good. The sunset was amazing. The bathrooms were very clean - no dirt or grime around the baseboards as they do an amazing job of making it sparkling clean!

Just an overnight stay. Nice campground and nice people. Utilities worked well. Minimal (1 bar) Verizon signal. The only thing I didn't like was that our site had a thick layer of loose gravel, so when I drove our 30,000 lb diesel pusher through it, it felt like we were going to get stuck (couldn't really happen, but it felt that way).

Under new ownership. We were only passing through and stayed one night. The lots were all very level, the location was quiet and the bathrooms/showers were the cleanest I've ever seen with HOT water. Some stuff was being upgraded but it didn't affect our stay. Front desk people were very kind.

We are on our way from Petoskey, MI to Mt Rushmore et al. Looking for a place to land before shooting into Hill City in the morning. What a great surprise! They are under new ownership and these guys have really cleaned the place up. They are investing in the place. Sites that are actually big rig friendly and the place is clean. Pool under construction. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We have more trip planned for the West. Kennebec KOA is part of all future itineraries.
