We stopped here on our way home from the Black Hills. This is a quiet and clean KOA. Nice laundry room with a big folding table. The staff was very nice too. This was a refreshing stay after the busy, noisy KOA near Mt. Rushmore.

Easy checking. Clean facilities. Great directions and communication. The camp needs a little maintenance, but appears to have ample ammenities.

Trees throughout the park and I am put in a treeless site during 90 degree weather.

Park is quite run down. Sites look like they haven't been touched in a while in regards to filling in holes. The day we were leaving they were supposed to get more rain. I had asked in the office if we could stay until the rain passed and was told we would be charged $5 an hour. Kinda crappy if you ask me and the lady was quite rude about it as well. We will find another place to stay the next tim

This park is quite nice, well laid out. Only complaint is very poor to non existent cell service, at least with Verizon. their wi-fi is not very strong either, mine was barely workable. In every other park I've stayed at, my cell was at least good, and the provided wi-fi fairly good. I realize that with free and shared wi-fi, not to expect a lot of speed, but mine was just barely working.

A nice waypoint campground. Nearest town is about 30 miles away. Nice gravel pull throughs. Plenty of space between most sites. Friendly staff. Pool area not as nice as most, but works for a cold swim. Pretty quiet as it's not too close to the highway.

Easy location for a layover when heading west or east, right off the highway. Very friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed, even informing us about the storm headed our way. Good hookups.

Nice, quiet campground. The lady who registered us in (we made reservations) put us in a upgraded site as the one we were going to get was muddy. I thought that was very kind of her as some of the campgrounds we visited didn't seem to care wherever they put us.

Under new ownership. We were only passing through and stayed one night. The lots were all very level, the location was quiet and the bathrooms/showers were the cleanest I've ever seen with HOT water. Some stuff was being upgraded but it didn't affect our stay. Front desk people were very kind.

We are on our way from Petoskey, MI to Mt Rushmore et al. Looking for a place to land before shooting into Hill City in the morning. What a great surprise! They are under new ownership and these guys have really cleaned the place up. They are investing in the place. Sites that are actually big rig friendly and the place is clean. Pool under construction. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We have more trip planned for the West. Kennebec KOA is part of all future itineraries.
