Convenient location right off of I90. The area had receiveda lot of rain and the park was wet. Not a show stopper by any means but moving around was soggy. Our site was relatively level so no leveling blocks were needed. Bottom line for me is that I would stay here again. Nice folks running this park.

Very easy access. Sites are fairly large. Staff is friendly. Great place to stop if you’re traveling on I 90.

Our stay was fine.... I like the personsl touch when checking in and I resli-e this may be a slower time of the year but it would have been nice if someone was in the office instead of reading our name on a piece of paper to go to site #... just sayin

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

After Labor Day our summer help is gone, the maintenance requirements are not. In order to provide guests with a clean, properly functioning campsite it is necessary to limit our office hours in early & late season. This reduction in hours is reflected in our lower "shoulder season" rates.

Small and quiet campground for an overnight stay. We arrived early and our info was left in the box out front. Never interacted with the hosts. Would stay again if passing through.

We were ripped off. This is the first for a KOA. We arrived at 5:30 pm ( we could no longer book online) with a 32 foot 5th wheel. The place was empty ( 2 other guests) . We only wanted water and electric but were told to pay for all services , because it was “all the same price”. Upon checking the website after we left, that’s not true. We paid 79.00 when we should have paid 65.00. Avoid

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I can assure you, you were not told "all sites are the same price." What you were told is that due to the size of your vehicle, the only site that would accommodate you was a full hookup site. Our water/electric sites are limited to less than 50 ft total length.

It was quiet. The staff was very nice. But the road inside the campground had BIG holes and dips which then held water and made for a muddy mess.

It was a nice tent spot. We were by the creek. You could hear the creek when it got quiet. The manager was nice to let us switch camping spot so that our bigger size tent would fit on the sand pad.

Easy pull in and pull out. We were lucky with some shade. Tony and everyone very nice and professional. Nice thunder storm. Shower clean with lots of hot water.

Very friendly, helpful, informative staff. Park was clean and well kept. I needed to spend a night in South Dakota for establishing my domicile there and this spot was great!

The place is nice and clean. Bathroom is clean and plenty of hot shower. My tent is so close too highway and become very noisy at time.

Under new ownership. We were only passing through and stayed one night. The lots were all very level, the location was quiet and the bathrooms/showers were the cleanest I've ever seen with HOT water. Some stuff was being upgraded but it didn't affect our stay. Front desk people were very kind.

We are on our way from Petoskey, MI to Mt Rushmore et al. Looking for a place to land before shooting into Hill City in the morning. What a great surprise! They are under new ownership and these guys have really cleaned the place up. They are investing in the place. Sites that are actually big rig friendly and the place is clean. Pool under construction. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We have more trip planned for the West. Kennebec KOA is part of all future itineraries.
