We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed(except for scissors) :-) This was our third visit to your KOA and I am certain we will be returning at another time.

This is our second stay in this same DC1 cabin. May long weekend. Compared to our first year - the state of the cabin was very disappointing. It had not been cleaned after the previous guests departed on Friday morning and before we arrived on Friday afternoon. Had not even been swept nor had the bathroom been tended to. This is not what I expect from KOA and certainly not post COVID.

There was a few things that needed fixing (blinds, deer mice, dirty barbecue and mold on shower) to be fair they were all fixed right away except for the barbecue. Beautiful location.

Facilities were run down: arcade games not working, the cabin's propane BBQ not working, hot tub was lukewarm. There was also a large group that came in at 11:30pm to stay in the cabin next to us and they did not respect the quiet hours, making it a poor sleep for us. Would not recommend.

Our stay was alright. The kampground has gone downhill over the last couple of years. In our Kabin there were several curtains/blinds missing/broken. We had to use a garbage bag for privacy. The mattress is warped and the material has started to crack/break. The shower had black mold growing up the glass doors. Our site had garbage all over the place- there was no effort to clean up.

We usually give you 5 stars, but we stayed in DC1 and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned on arrival, the main bedroom bed had crumbs all over it and the cabin was smelling musty

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a deluxe cabin. The campground and cabin were clean and nicely maintained. We enjoyed our night skies and nightly campfires. The staff was helpful and very friendly. It is a beautiful and convenient location to stay and visit the Thousand Islands.

Stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe kabin with bathroom. Kabin was good; however, shower stall was leaking water into the bathroom and soap dispenser was very dirty. Bathroom door would not stay closed and kept sliding open. For the price that I paid, I expect a lot better!

Much needed upgrades noted. Stayed in a deluxe cabin and the mattress is just awful. Indents drastically in the middle so both people roll towards the center of it. BBQ is starting to fall apart with top rack breaking gradually. Seats around the fireplace are rotting, wood needs to be changed. Having said that, it still is a great place to camp but just wish they would invest in some basic stuff.

Although the kids activities are very well done and staff is very helpful The cabins are really LESS than advertised. First, the fans in the cabins are FLITHY. MISSING alot of utensils and little things the are supposed to have. BBQ UTENSILS, serving spoon and forks. Mixing bowls. BBQ is extremely dirty, looks like it has not been cleaned in years. We have been to the site often. Our biggest issue on all of our stays has been the BBQ and Fridge at our site. Each time we have been to the site our BBQ has not worked. Either because the unit is faulty, or the gas is empty. Our fridge had many issues as well, with over freezer.

Great campground & facilities. Deluxe cabin was perfect, well equipped. Lots of activities to do around Gananoque-Kingston area. We’ll be back for sure!

This KOA is run down and very crowded and loud. There was a man who came in to clean the ladies bathroom while women were showering and using the facilities. When I went to the office about it they didn't care. The staff here are not very friendly. We had people looking into our camping cabin in the middle of the night as well with flashlights. Awful experience here. Will not stay again.

Cabin was roomy and well stocked with cookware. Cleaning of ALL doors needed - gross. Lacked proper/enough silverware. Mattress covers and pullout couch mattress were obviously not cleaned/vacuumed prior to our arrival. Good activities for kids. Nice playground and pool. Our cabin was beside dog park so smelled like dog crap (move pail + use smaller can to be changed more frequently)

I would say that the deluxe cabins are just "ok". They were fine for a couple nights, but the beds are old, the furniture is old and the overall appearance of the cabins is dated (not rustic, just old and dated). I would also say that the cost/night is not great value; at $250/night, you could stay in at nicer hotel. However, the overall KOA at Ivy Lea was great and the kids loved the amenities.

We've been coming for 6 years and LOVE IT. However we were incredibly disappointed that the hot tub at our cottage was removed and it wasn't noted anywhere online or at check in. Also, we'd love if the pullout couch could be fixed, it's been broken all 6 years (we've figured out how to flip it over and put it back though) Staff is lovely, cottage is like a home away from home. We always recommend!

Updated – 2026, Jun: This has become our family's favourite campground. All sites are extremely well levelled and groomed. The whole staff is always friendly and available to help. The activities for adults and kids are just enough, and the amenities are very well-maintained. Bottom line: We strongly recommend The Ivy Lea KOA Holiday. 2025, July: This is one of my top 3 KOA options in Ontario. The site was very well-groomed, from the gravel to the trees, with some brownie points to the fire pit closer to the usable area instead of far in the street. The kid's playground, the jumping pad, the heated pools (one with a small water slide – the kids go crazy at it), and the jacuzzi for (adults only) deserve a special shout-out.
