New owners and they are hard at work improving the facilities. We had a very enjoyable stay - we met friends and enjoyed the huge Hot ��� Tub.

We had 3 wonderful nights at this KOA Ivy Lea Thousand Islands ON. Our site was private, back in, the washrooms were close by and clean. Lots to do and see in the area. We would definitely return. Loved our mini vacation there!

It's what you'd expect from Koa. I've stayed in many the past few years and they are all great! Only thing I'd say about this one is the cabins are a little too close to each other. I could hear conversations from both sides. Other than that, great place to camp.

Out of all the KOA’s I’ve been to, I enjoy 1000 islands/Ivy Lea the best so far. However; my wife and I don’t have children and we enjoy using the pool frequently. The only thing we would recommend adding/changing is having an adult only pool time since most kids don’t use just the family pool but the main one too and it’s not enjoyable getting splashed continuously by the kids.

Our stay was lovely, however I will say that the store on site is very limited and the site is in a remote area without anything ie, grocery store, site seeing near by.

Nice park overall but the esthetics of the park could be better....like grass and trim upkeep. Not the best KOA but not the worst we've been to. The close proximity to the 1000 islands cruise tours made it worthwhile. Thank you

The camp is very nice our site 82 was perfect, but not as well maintained as previous stays. Just noticed the camp is looking a little untidy and needs a few upgrades. Playground and campsites less stellar. Missed the Sat. Bbq. One of the reasons we stay over. The carnival was pretty lame no one bothered. The smore lunch and wagon events were really great. According to our kids. Still enjoyed!!!!

Nice KOA. Liked the pools and hot tub. Fun activities for the kids. Gardens needed a little love and some dead trees will hopefully be removed soon. Overall great stay and would return.

Stayed in a Kamping Kabin. The sites were lovely. Pool and adult spa area we're great to spend time in. The RV sites looked too tight for my large motorhome, but wouldn't hesitate to come back if I were to look for a Kabin. Staff were friendly, and the park was very well maintained.

- not well maintained - we requested a specific spot with shade and privacy and we were put where there was nothing and 10ft of space we couldn’t even stay at our trailer because of the other campers

Our gravel lot had a rut running the entire length as if someone had plowed it and left a ridge (hump) along the trailer door side. Made for an uncomfortable lot and slightly hazardous. Surrounding grass areas were we’re not cut. Some person in a golf cart kept driving around. Not sure if he was on staff but he made us feel like we were being watched.

The grounds need upkeep. We arrived for a week and our site needed a mow, the gardens around our site were overgrown which made our site seem small and tighter then it should have been. To site around the campfire comfortably we were sitting in weeds and Lillie’s which were infested with mosquitoes. I get bugs are part of nature but if your sitting in long grass it 100% makes it worse.

There needs to be a lot of updating… especially around the pool , the patio stones are dirty and the shrubs need to be removed , there’s a place that I would put in a splash pad for the little ones . And there is so many dead trees that need to be cut . And if want to have seasonal campers there at least put newer trailers and not ones that are falling apart !!!

Our favourite spot with great staff. Dawn , Peter , Tyler and a couple more I don’t have names for always make the stay pleasant . Had the privilege of meeting Shawn the new owner . He is young , engaged and very active in the day to day operation. He’s already made some notable improvements in the property ( the last owners let it slip a bit ) and I’m confident he’ll make a lot more soon

The campground has potential but at this time it is very outdated. Only one toilet facility for the whole camp group and poorly maintained. The site has beautiful forests surrounding the tent areas which was beautiful. The playground and pool area need improvement also not well maintained and old. The front desk clerk was very nice and welcoming .

Reception staff helpful as washer/dryers would not take coins. Site okay. Washrooms could do with more attention to cleanliness floors soaking wet, tissue paper all over the area and showers dirty and need a good clean. Having stayed at other sites we had a comparison that showed how clean they can be. Also showers had been broken and site lost electricity and Wi-Fi not working. Hoped for better.

Great place, with great staff, and well-organized activities. The reinforcement of rules (dress code, no shoes inside the pool, no kids in the adult area, etc.) around the pool area could be improved. It is our 2nd stay and we would be happy to return mostly because of the friendly staff and great amenities, although some guests made our stay a bit challenging.

On your website, it states that the campground is within walking distance from the Boldt Castle cruises and this is why we booked. 8km (5 miles) is not considered a walking distance.

Service was awesome however the sites are way too close. Also, having to put your fire out at 12 is disappointing. I understand that the noise levels need to be down. But if it's only my husband and I quietly enjoying our campfire, I really don't see how that could be disruptive. Also, I find the price high for a couple who doesn't take advantage of any of the facilities or activities.

Trees should be trim at the exit and around the park This weekend we have no electricity for a good 3.5 hrs and sewers smell so bad this park need some love never got any apologies from the new owner

Some small signs of improvements. Area around large pool has been resurfaced and activities were happening for kids along with bbq on the Saturday. The kids hot tub needs to be repaired and the smaller pool heated again to balance out people between pools. Cleaning of cabins and washrooms is still an big issue. Landscaping of trees and bushes would improve things greatly. I wish new owner success.

Everything was great. Staff was friendly. Grounds were kept. My issue, and could have been my own doing, was the site was very small and difficult for a pullthru with my size truck and trailer. Next booking, I will adjust accordingly.

Stayed for 3 days,,,enjoyed the park,,pool. Unfortunately park not in full swing yet, so it closed at 6 pm,,,hot tub could use some service on the jets, but nice and hot. Very friendly helpful staff.

Over the past 12 years of RVing, we stayed at Ivy Lea KOA for 6 times. Over the last couple of years, we noticed a marked deterioration of the facilities. Specifically the children's play area and the peddle carts. Upon arrival, the main road was wash boarded, and looked like the gravel had not been raked for some time. It was very unpleasant. The staff had to be reminded to pick up the garbage.

Updated – 2026, Jun: This has become our family's favourite campground. All sites are extremely well levelled and groomed. The whole staff is always friendly and available to help. The activities for adults and kids are just enough, and the amenities are very well-maintained. Bottom line: We strongly recommend The Ivy Lea KOA Holiday. 2025, July: This is one of my top 3 KOA options in Ontario. The site was very well-groomed, from the gravel to the trees, with some brownie points to the fire pit closer to the usable area instead of far in the street. The kid's playground, the jumping pad, the heated pools (one with a small water slide – the kids go crazy at it), and the jacuzzi for (adults only) deserve a special shout-out.
