Friendly staff and very clean facilities. We stayed at site #82, it was picturesque and we really enjoyed the the patio with the campfire, especially the muskoka chairs

After 10 years of bringing our family here, we will not be coming back. Never had an experience like this before and are really sad to see how awful and unkept the campgrounds have become. Our cabin was not cleaned, at all, toilet was disgusting and the beds/floors were dirty. My husband almost blew himself up with the BBQ that was broken. Coffee pot, outside furniture, lights in cabin, all broken

We stayed for a weekend. The site was a little small and had many trees on it making it even smaller, but other than that, it’s a great campground.

The facilities are very dated and in need of much up keep. The bathrooms had an odor and the showers contained mold. The shrubs are over gown and in some cases dead. The staff were good for check-in and follow-up. Having the pool and hot tub still open was an unexpected bonus. I never found the arcade or theater room they advertised. Certainly not what I expected for a KOA and for the rate.

1st time and late arriving so a bit confused about how to settle in for night. We were made to feel comfortable and welcome from the get go and KOA campgrounds are the way to go! Thank you all for a very rewarding first time KOA camper. Susan & David

We had a great visit, the park is in a great location, It is very well maintained and the staff was very friendly. We will be back!

We had a lovely relaxing stay. We had a deluxe cabin and it was perfect. Much nicer and more well stocked than I even thought it would be. We enjoyed taking our dogs to the dog park. The campground has a friendly family atmosphere. Would highly recommend this campground!

Showers need to be cleaned better. Hot tub is meant to be hot not warm. Also way to much chlorine. when the bubbles are on, we are breathing chlorine. Anyone who asks for the hot tub to be warmer send them to the children's tub or tell them to sit in a bathtub. The first word in hot tub s HOT :-)

Let us choose our own sites on line like every other campground. Then we can choose our own "buddy" sites. #1 issue, charge $100+ per night for a narrow uneven sites. Had to lift the passenger site so high and still not even; take 15min and level that gravel... Ridiculous!! The only reason we go here is the hot tub, the waterfall doesn't run, there are little to no lighting, looks dingy!

We have rented at 1000 Islands KOE in the past. We had a cabin booked for May but were notified that the pools would not be opening until later, we cancelled as there is no reason to rent a cabin and look at a hot tub and heated pool. Our cabin in Sept we had stayed in before, the cabin had cobwebs, was not cleaned properly. We could not get any wifi "it was spotty", it was non existent..Unhappy

Wished the hotdogs on Saturday were available a short time longer or notice given that they would be available for only 30 mins. Shower in DC3 was badly stained with hair dye and shower head could use replacing. Bathroom in that cabin could use a more reliable locking mechanism.

This is a pretty mediocre KOA. It is also very expensive for what you get. Some sites are okay; others are not. Pay no attention to the slick brochure. For example, it says there is a trail just off the property, but there isn't now. Hosts said it hadn't been cleared in years. They do make an effort to have events, though.

Hi the people were great the place was good. The gravel roads were too dusty they could have them sprayed to keep the dust down or use 3/4 gravel not 0 to 3/4 gravel as the zero is dust . The pool has glass fencing it needs to be repaired as the glass is falling out .. but the overall campground is well maintained and nice … the local quarry can help you manage your dust .

Site 37 is under power lines. Our TV antenna came very close to these. Something to consider when placing a 5th wheel trailer on this site.

This was the most expensive KOA I stayed in during my trip, probably because of the location. The desk staff were very nice and helpful. There appears to be only one washroom on the property which is behind the office. The property is not very well groomed - gardens were full of weeds and weeds were growing in the walkways to the washrooms which were down a flight of stairs.

We stayed one night Warm welcome No reservations- we asked for a quiet and secluded site. They really have sites for all tastes. Well kept grounds- clean toilets. 10/10 Nous sommes resté une nuit accueil chaleureux pas de réservations- nous avons demande pour un site tranquille et à l'écart. Ils ont réellement des sites pour tous les goûts. Terrain bien tenu- toilettes propres. 10/1

The stay was wonderful. We loved it and loved the whole staff. The only area of improvement I would suggest is better enforcement of a clear path at the entrance/exit, where we were blocked by another RV-er who thought it was fine to park his RV on the exit way. We ended up having to locate him to move his RV.

We were very happy with our total stay. The cottage was super and well equipped. The hot tub was really good too! We definetly would like to visit this KOA again.

Updated – 2026, Jun: This has become our family's favourite campground. All sites are extremely well levelled and groomed. The whole staff is always friendly and available to help. The activities for adults and kids are just enough, and the amenities are very well-maintained. Bottom line: We strongly recommend The Ivy Lea KOA Holiday. 2025, July: This is one of my top 3 KOA options in Ontario. The site was very well-groomed, from the gravel to the trees, with some brownie points to the fire pit closer to the usable area instead of far in the street. The kid's playground, the jumping pad, the heated pools (one with a small water slide – the kids go crazy at it), and the jacuzzi for (adults only) deserve a special shout-out.
