Met the owner, he and his staff were very pleasant. We found the campground clean and well maintained. The only negative was the rain, but the staff could not change that no matter how hard they tried.

The 4th star is entirely for the staff. Lots of recreational opportunities on-site for kids. RV sites are tight and not necessarily very level. Probably would look elsewhere because of tight sites.

KOA used to be top of the line but not anymore. I seriously don’t know how this campground keeps its affiliation.

It was a nice place but when we checked in after hours, the cabin was not cleaned. Garbages were full of trash, bathroom sink had toothpaste in it and toilet was not cleaned. The coffee maker even had used coffee grounds in it. When I reported it the next day, they said sorry but did not do anything to make it better.

Very nice young man checked us in. Clean cabin and bathroom/shower. We always enjoy staying in Kabins at KOA every chance we get, which sadly for us isn't often enough.

Cabin was not clean. There was candy wrappers left on the table by the door. There were dead bugs behind the heater when we moved it. There were spider webs in the corners. There was muddy footprints all over the cabin. I have pictures of the cabin.

Very nice and clean campground. Will definitely return in the future. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Dakota went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable and recommended several great attractions to see in the area.

I think the R V sites are a little tight and need some improvement.Probably a little hard to try to make more level.I would check around more if I was going to stay in Hot Springs again.

Great location, easy access to many of The Black Hills Attractions. Bath/showers could use an update but certainly clean. Sites were narrow and long term sites should be grouped away from vacationers. Friendly staff and nice camp store.

I stayed in the deluxe cabin for two nights while hunting in the area. It had everything my buddy and I needed. I plan to stay here for all future trips to the area. The front desk staff was also really nice and great to work with before the stay.

For the third time, I've been welcomed with kindness. The reservation process at the KOA office was without a hitch. My cabin was clean and for me, luxurious: fridge, heater, a/c, tv. I refrained but appreciated the options. Showers, sinks, and toilets were immaculate. Many complimentary amenities but alas, time did not allow me to partake. This KOA is easily accessible to town.

Sites aren't level and are too close together. The guy at the desk was really nice. We didn't use any of the facilities but there was workers going around doing maintenance and clean up every day.

This is a truly beautiful camp ground, quiet, with beautiful trees everywhere making you feel like you out in the middle of no where camping yet with great amenities. Appreciated an easy late check in. All staff members were extremely friendly and so kind to us first time campers.

A wonderful stay thanks to the attention given to get us a spot short notice and finding a pull thru long enough for our 65 feet. Very friendly hosts and the park is beautiful and clean. We wished we could have stayed longer and we will return again. We stayed for 2 nights during the ‘off season’.

We loved Hot Springs!!! That is the greatest staff working there. They signed us up for KOA membership and gave us information for our next stop and a book to find different KOA’s. Will definitely visit them again.

Glad this location is open during the colder months. Not as close to Rushmore as represented in the name (hence the 9 and not 10). Team on the ground was nice and they did turn on the water for us in the middle of our stay. Easy check in and out.

This was one of the few campgrounds open in the area during the winter. The cabin that was open for campers to use was kept very clean and warm. Thank you so much for having a place available so we could take one of our most memorable vacations!

Loved that the cabins were nestled in the trees. Staff was super friendly and welcoming, however we had a hard time checking in at 2pm because the office was closed until 4pm. Nice playground for kids. Clean bathrooms, but the air freshener was overpowering. Quiet, easy access to Hot Springs Town. Cabin was fine and had heat and AC.

Family of 4 adults, 2 kids and 3 dogs and our stay was September 9, 2023 to October 8, 2023. All utilities were still on and working great. The site we stayed in was #18 which was a gravel pull through. The hosts and their family were very helpful, friendly and great! The laundry room was good but due to us being a large family we went into Hot Springs (short drive) and used the Hot Springs Laundromat, and it was great. Hot Springs has everything you need but a bit pricier due to the touristy nature. We used the dog park (which was great f/the dogs to run), mini-golf and playground. Pool was closed to being off-season. You can purchase firewood at the front office, and they will deliver to site and also cleaned out all pits early in the morning (had never seen that before). We will definitely stay here again should we be traveling through.

Stayed here in September 2023. The cabin was clean, and the breakfast served was very good. Staff were friendly. It was nice having breakfast at the campground as options nearby are limited.
